Because of the 5-4-3-2 thread stitch configuration there are 14 different
stitch types (10 stitches, some which can be changed to sew narrow or
wide)ensure the perfect stitch, regardless of the project. The complete
tension set-up for all of these stitch configurations is achieved with a
simple turn of the Automatic Tension System dial.
Triple-Cover Stitch
For exquisite seams with a truly professional look. This innovative stitch
provides a 5.6mm professional and creative triple topstitch to sewing
projects.
Double-Cover Stitch
This professional cover hem stitch is a “must have” for today’s sewing. It
is often seen in ready-to-wear garments or as a decorative accent to
many types of projects. Depending on which needle position is
selected, the width of the double-cover stitch can be either 5.6mm wide
or 2.8mm wide.

Feature Benefit
Chainstitch This stitch is suitable for straight seams or for topstitching with
decorative threads.
Five-Thread Safety Stitch
This stitch is suitable for woven fabrics and provides a durable seam for
heavy weight fabrics such as denim and terrycloth. Using this strong
safety stitch eliminates the need to reinforce the seam with a standard
sewing machine straight stitch.
Four-Thread Safety Stitch
The stitch is appropriately used when sewing a medium weight woven
fabric, such as linen or cotton. Because one less thread is being used,
the stitch is less bulky. However the stitch is still strong enough not to
require straight stitch reinforcement from a standard sewing machine.
Four-Thread Ultra Stretch
Stitch
This four-thread stitch is a favorite when sewing knit fabric because the
stitch stretches as the fabric stretches. This provides for neat and
professional finishes that will not “pop” when the fabric is stretched. It
can also be used as a seam and seam finish for medium to lightweight
Three-Thread Overlock Stitch
It is beneficial in preventing loosely woven fabrics from unraveling, an it
offersunlimited decorative capabilities. Depending on which needle
position is selected, the width of the stitch can be either 4.0mm wide or
6.0mm wide.
Two-Thread Overlock Stitch
This two-thread overlock stitch is used as a lightweight seam finish or a
lightweight seam on woven fabrics. This stitch creates less bulky seams
andseam finishes, which is ideal for sheer or lace fabrics. Depending
on which needle position is selected, the width of the Two-Thread
Overlock Stitch can be either 4.0mm wide or 6.0mm wide.
Rolled Hem Stitch
By simply moving the Stitch Finger lever, the QuantumLock is converted
to the rolled hem sewing mode. Beautiful three- or two-thread rolled
hems can be created to add an elegant fine finish to table linens,
scarves, and much more.
Flatlock Stitch Special decorative threads can be used to add texture and a dramatic
embellishment effect. Depending on which needle position is selected,
the width of flatlock stitch can be either 4.0mm wide or 6.0mm wide.
