Using network RTK or a known point to start logging your base station correction data
2. How to put over a known point
Please insert USB drive = insert into Edge itself
To collect/use Edge while flying, you setup Edge1 first, connect to Explore1
There are two scenarios for logging GPS correction data:
1. Internet connection and NTRIP Network RTK account: Edge1 base station
connects to your NTRIP Network RTK account via internet and logs GPS correction
data during the mission.
2. No Internet connection / no network RTK coverage: If you know the coordinates of
a pre-surveyed point on the job site, you can set the Edge1 base station on that
point and manually type in coordinates.
After you have established a Network RTK and account, you are ready to set up the Edge1
base station for data logging by following these steps:
1. Purchase a surveying stand to attach the Edge1 base station to a steady surface.
The stand should accommodate a bolt attachment with a ⅝ inch thread. Here is
an example of where you can purchase a surveying stand:
2. We recommend setting up the Edge1 at least 5 minutes before you execute
your mission. Tap the power button once. A white light in the center of the power
button will start flashing.
