Maintenance
The casing, rails and bottom rail should be cleaned with a soft sponge or cloth, tepid water and non-aggressive
cleaning products. We strongly advise against cleaning with scourers or pressure washers as they will damage the
product.
The canvas must also be cleaned with a soft sponge or brush and tepid water.
Avoid rolling up the canvas when it’s wet as this can cause mould. Let the canvas dry after cleaning or after rain.
The sunblind should not be used during freezing temperatures. The frost can freeze the canvas, which causes
damage when the canvas is rolled up or down. We advise to roll up the sunblinds and not to use them in case of
temperatures below 3° Celsius.
Failing to comply with the above mentioned maintenance and user advice voids the guarantee.
Guarantee
Skylux oers its professional customers a 5-year guarantee for all flaws that may occur during normal use and
maintenance of the delivered sunblinds. The guarantee period starts at production date and only covers the
product itself, not the product installation. This guarantee is granted under conditions that are clearly described
for the professionals.
The guarantee is void under the following circumstances:
The materials are intensively exposed to damaging atmospheric circumstances or an aggressive industrial
environment with colour change or damage as a consequence.
The dimensions of the sunblinds fall outside the mentioned sizes/prices, taking into account the specific inquiry of
the customer. In this case, liability is transferred to the latter.
The product number has been removed or made illegible.
The damages/flaws are caused by transport or storage on site.
The sunblinds are modified by a third party, whether or not installed professionally.
Normal ageing of the canvas is not a flaw. Crytal+ and Stam fabric are more sensitive to wear than other kinds
of fabric. Scratches and wrinkles in these fabrics are not unusual after two years and is therefore seen as normal
ageing.
The sunblinds are used in an unusual way and/or not maintained properly. “Unusual” means any improper or forced
use, unsafe behaviour, abuse or unauthorised modification or changes to the product or any part of it.
For this reason, we advise your to organise a correct and yearly maintenance of the sunblinds, which will guarantee
a longer product lifetime. We recommend to clean the blinds at least once a year or more in extremely polluting
environments (industrial areas, wooded areas, by the sea …).
