Usethe Sympodium®DT770interactivepen display,along withthe manypowerfulfeaturesof SMARTBoard™software,
tocontroland writeovercomputerapplications.
Theinteractivependisplay
The interactivependisplayhasthree setsofbuttonsandindicators.A rowofdisplaycontrolbuttonsfine-tunedisplay
properties. Thereisalsoagroup ofpen-toolbuttonsand aset offunctionbuttons,whichinclude the room-controlinterface
button.Thetetheredmagneticpenenablesyou towriteordrawindigitalinkoveranyapplication.Onthe SympodiumDT770,
youcan useyourfingerasamouse,ortodrawoveryourapplications.
Checkingthestatusoftheinteractivependisplay
The powerindicator glowsgreen when the unitisreceiving powerand avideo signal.Ifitglowsorange,ensurethatyour
computeristurned on,and that the cableiscorrectlyconnectedtotheinteractivepen displayand thecomputer.
The statusindicator glowsgreenwhen the DT770 iscommunicating withyourcomputerproperly.Ifitglowsorange,make
surethatthe USB cableisconnectedtothe interactivepen displayand thecomputer,and ensurethatSMARTBoard
softwareisrunning on the computer.
Function buttons
The function buttonsprovide quickaccesstoanumberof
frequentlyused tools.Pressafunctionbutton tolaunch
the On-Screen Keyboard,the Floating Toolstoolbaror
the Capturetoolbar.Open Notebook™softwaretohelp
youorganize,saveand sharenotes.
The room-controlinterfacebutton allowsyou tooperate
connectedroomcontroldevices.

Pen-tool buttons
Usethe pen-toolbuttonstoselectadigitalinkcolor,erasedigitalink,returntomousemode oractivatearight-click.
NOTE:When you press the rightmousebutton,onlythenextpen contactwill be aright-click.Subsequenttouchesofyour
pen willregisterasaleft-click.
Writinganderasingnotes
Towriteoveryourdesktopimage,pick up the tethered pen,press apen-toolbuttontoselectyourdigitalinkcolor, and write
on theinteractivedisplay.Selectanotherpen-toolbutton tochange yourinkcolor.Toeraseyournotes,selectthe eraser,
and movethe pen inasmoothmotion overyournotes. Press theleft mousebutton,and returnthe pentotherecesswhen
you arefinished.Useyourfingerasamousetocontrolyourapplications.
Savingyournotes
You caneasilysavenotesonyourSympodiumDT770 interactivependisplayforfuturereference.
1Selectone ofthe display’spen-toolbuttons, and writeyournotesordrawon the
interactivescreen.The Floating Toolstoolbarwillappear.
2Tosaveaselected area ofyourscreen,pressthe Area Capture button on the
Floating Toolstoolbar. Touchthedisplaywiththe pen,andwithoutreleasing
pressure,drag the selection boxtooutline theareayou wanttocapture.
3Notebooksoftwarewillopen automaticallyanddisplayyournotesonanew
Notebookpage, whichyoucan then saveasaNotebookfileorexportasaPDF
NOTE:Ifthe Floating Toolstoolbardoesnotappearwhen youselect one ofthe pen display’spen-toolbuttons, you
maybeworkinginan InkAwareapplication (e.g.,Microsoft®Word).If the applicationisInkAware,thesebuttonswill
be availableintheapplication’sowntoolbar.
