Initial Assembly

Connecting the rods
Insert the 12 rods into the rod holders on the speedring.
Securing the fabric and rods to the speedring.
Pull the elastic loops attached to the fabric over the hooks
on the rod holders.
Opening the softbox.
Pull the rods back into the groove in the speedring until
the rod holders click in place.

Attaching strobe adapter
Unscrew the 3 pieces of locking screw on the back of the speedring. Then mount the appropriate strobe adaper.
Secure by tightening the locking screws.

Maintenance Tips
Closing the Alpha Speedbox
Close the Alpha Speedbox by simply releasing the rods
from the speedring by squeezing on the 6 sets of tabs
on the back of the speedring.
Storage
Tie the folded speedbox with attached hook-and loop
fastener then store it in the carrying bag.
WARNING: Do NOT mount or operate this product with a strobe using halogen modeling light rated over 300W.
Do NOT store or operate near ammable gases or when fumes are present.
Do NOT drop it or subject it to physical shock and vibration.
Clean with mild detergent and soft cloth. Do not use solvents such as thinner or benzene.
Store in carrying bag when not in use.

Limited Warranty
SMDV provides to the original consumer purchaser of this product a limited warranty against
defects in materials and workmanship for 1-year from the date of original purchase from an
authorized SMDV dealer/retailer. At SMDV’s option, defective product will be repaired or replaced.
Repair or replacement is the exclusive remedy under the warranty. Warranty is void if SMDV
determines that the product was subject to abuse, misuse, negligence, or unauthorized repair.
To obtain warranty service, the product must be returned to SMDV or authorized service
representative with the proof of purchase.
