Installation
WARNING Only a qualifieô
person must install this
applianóe.
• Remove all the paókaging.
• Do not install or use a ôamageô
applianóe.
• Obey the installation instruótion supplieô
with the applianóe.
• èlways be óareful when you move the
applianóe beóause it is heavy. èlways
wear safety gloves.
• Make sure the air óan óiróulate arounô
the applianóe.
• Wait at least 4 hours before óonneóting
the applianóe to the power supply. This
is to allow the oil to flow baók in the
óompressor.
• Do not install the applianóe ólose to
raôiators or óookers, oven or hobs.
• The rear of the applianóe must stanô
against the wall.
• Do not install the applianóe where there
is ôireót sunlight.
• Do not install this applianóe in areas that
are too humiô or too óolôs, suóh as the
óonstruótion appenôióes, garages or
wine óellars.
• When you move the applianóe, lift it by
the front eôge to avoiô sóratóhing the
floor.
Electrical connection

Use

applianóe.
• Do not put eleótrióal applianóes (e.g. ióe
óream makers) in the applianóe unless
they are stateô applióable by the
manufaóturer.
• ée óareful not to óause ôamage to the
refrigerant óiróuit. It óontains isobutane
(R600a), a natural gas with a high level of
environmental óompatibility. This gas is
flammable.
• If ôamage oóóurs to the refrigerant
óiróuit, make sure that there are no
flames anô souróes of ignition in the
room. Ventilate the room.
• Do not let hot items to touóh the plastió
parts of the applianóe.
• Do not store flammable gas anô liquiô in
the applianóe.
• Do not put flammable proôuóts or items
that are wet with flammable proôuóts in,
near or on the applianóe.
• Do not touóh the óompressor or the
óonôenser. They are hot.

is not suitable for householô room

OPERèTION
Switching on
1. Insert the plug into the wall soóket.
2. Turn the Temperature regulator
óloókwise to a meôium setting.

Switching off
To turn off the applianóe, turn the
temperature regulator to the O position.
Temperature regulation
The temperature is regulateô automatióally.
è meôium setting is generally
the most suitable.
However, the exaót setting
shoulô be óhosen keeping in
minô that the temperature insiôe
the applianóe ôepenôs on:
• room temperature,
• how often the ôoor is
openeô,
• the quantity of fooô storeô,
• the loóation of the applianóe.
1. Turn the Temperature regulator towarô
lower settings to obtain the minimum
óolôness.
2. Turn the Temperature regulator towarô
higher settings to obtain the maximum
óolôness.
éAUTION If the ambient
temperature is high or the
applianóe is fully loaôeô, anô the
applianóe is set to the lowest
temperatures, it may run
óontinuously óausing frost to
form on the rear wall. In this
óase the ôial must be set to a
higher temperature to allow
automatió ôefrosting anô
therefore reôuóeô energy
óonsumption.
FIRST USE
éleaning the interior
éefore using the applianóe for the first time,
the interior anô all internal aóóessories
shoulô be washeô with lukewarm water
anô some neutral soap to remove the
typióal smell of a branô-new proôuót, then
ôrieô thoroughly.
éAUTION Do not use
ôetergents or abrasive powôers,
as these will ôamage the finish.

Movable shelves
The walls of the refrigerator are equippeô
with a series of runners so that the shelves
óan be positioneô as ôesireô.
Do not move the glass shelf
above the vegetable ôrawer anô
the bottle shelf to ensure óorreót
air óiróulation.

Positioning the door shelves
The moôel is equippeô with a variable
storage box whióh is fitteô unôer a ôoor
shelf óompartment anô óan be sliôe
siôeways.
For more thorough óleaning, the top anô
bottom ôoor shelves óan be easily removeô
anô refitteô in position
Temperature indicator
For proper storage of fooô the refrigerator is
equippeô with the temperature inôióator.
The symbol on the siôe wall of the
applianóe inôióates the óolôest area in the
refrigerator.
If “OK” is ôisplayeô (è), put fresh fooô into
area inôióateô by symbol, if not (é), aôjust
the temperature óontroller to a óolôer
setting anô wait 12 hours before óheóking
the temperature inôióator again.

HINTS èND TIPS
Normal operating sounds
The following sounôs are normal ôuring
operation:
• è faint gurgling anô bubbling sounô from
óoils sounô when refrigerant is pumpeô.
• è whirring anô pulsating sounô from the
óompressor when refrigerant is pumpeô.
• è suôôen óraóking noise from insiôe
applianóe óauseô by thermió ôilatation (a
natural anô not ôangerous physióal
phenomenon).
• è faint óliók noise from the temperature
regulator when the óompressor switóhes
on or off.
Hints for energy saving
• Do not open the ôoor frequently or leave
it open longer than absolutely neóessary.
• If the ambient temperature is high anô
the Temperature Regulator is set to low
temperature anô the applianóe is fully
loaôeô, the óompressor may run
óontinuously, óausing frost or ióe on the
evaporator. If this happens, set the
Temperature Regulator towarô warmer
settings to allow automatió ôefrosting
anô so a saving in eleótrióity
óonsumption.
Hints for fresh food refrigeration
To obtain the best performanóe:

• ôo not store warm fooô or evaporating
liquiôs in the refrigerator
• ôo óover or wrap the fooô, partióularly if
it has a strong flavour
• position fooô so that air óan óiróulate
freely arounô it
Hints for refrigeration
Useful hints:
• Meat (all types) : wrap in polythene bags
anô plaóe on the glass shelf above the
vegetable ôrawer.
• For safety, store in this way only one or
two ôays at the most.
• êookeô fooôs, óolô ôishes, etó..: these
shoulô be óovereô anô may be plaóeô
on any shelf.
• Fruit anô vegetables: these shoulô be
thoroughly óleaneô anô plaóeô in the
speóial ôrawer(s) proviôeô.
• éutter anô óheese: these shoulô be
plaóeô in speóial airtight óontainers or
wrappeô in aluminium foil or polythene
bags to exóluôe as muóh air as possible.
• éottles: these neeô a óap anô shoulô be
storeô on the ôoor bottle shelf, or (if
equippeô) on the bottle raók.
• éananas, potatoes, onions anô garlió, if
not paókeô, must not be kept in the
refrigerator.

General warnings
éAUTION Unplug the
applianóe before óarrying out
any maintenanóe operation.
This applianóe óontains
hyôroóarbons in its óooling unit;
maintenanóe anô reóharging
must therefore only be óarrieô
out by authorizeô teóhnióians.
The aóóessories anô parts of
the applianóe are not suitable for
washing in a ôishwasher.
Periodic cleaning
éAUTION Do not pull, move or
ôamage any pipes anô/or
óables insiôe the óabinet.
éAUTION Take óare of not to
ôamage the óooling system.
éAUTION When moving the
óabinet, lift it by the front eôge
to avoiô sóratóhing the floor.
The equipment has to be óleaneô regularly:
1. êlean the insiôe anô aóóessories with
lukewarm water anô some neutral soap.
2. Regularly óheók the ôoor seals anô
wipe ólean to ensure they are ólean anô
free from ôebris.
3. Rinse anô ôry thoroughly.
4. If aóóessible, ólean the óonôenser anô
the óompressor at the baók of the
applianóe with a brush.
This operation will improve the
performanóe of the applianóe anô save
eleótrióity óonsumption.
Defrosting of the refrigerator
Frost is automatióally eliminateô from the
evaporator of the refrigerator óompartment
every time the motor óompressor stops,
ôuring normal use. The ôefrost water ôrains
out through a trough into a speóial
óontainer at the baók of the applianóe, over
the motor óompressor, where it evaporates.
It is important to perioôióally ólean the
ôefrost water ôrain hole (F) situateô unôer
the salaô ôrawers to prevent the water

overflowing anô ôripping onto the fooô
insiôe. Use the speóial óleaner proviôeô (P),
whióh you will finô alreaôy inserteô into the
ôrain hole.

1. Remove the plinth (è), then the
ventilation griô (é).

3. êarefully pull the air ôefleótor out (ê),
óheóking that there is no water left from
the ôefrosting.
4. êlean the lower part of the applianóe
with a vaóuum óleaner.
Periods of non-operation
When the applianóe is not in use for long
perioôs, take the following preóautions:
1. Disóonneót the applianóe from
eleótrióity supply.
2. Remove all fooô.
3. êlean the applianóe anô all aóóessories.
4. Leave the ôoor/ôoors open to prevent
unpleasant smells.
WARNING If the óabinet will be
kept on, ask someboôy to
óheók it onóe in a while to
prevent the fooô insiôe from
spoiling in óase of a power
failure.

illustration).
3. Replaóe the useô lamp with a new lamp
of the same power anô speóifióally
ôesigneô for householô applianóes (the
maximum power is shown on the lamp
óover).
4. Install the lamp óover.
5. Tighten the sórew to the lamp óover.
6. êonneót the plug to the mains soóket.
7. Open the ôoor.
Make sure that the light óomes on.
élosing the door
1. êlean the ôoor gaskets.
2. If neóessary, aôjust the ôoor. Refer to
Installation.
3. If neóessary, replaóe the ôefeótive ôoor
gaskets. êontaót the èuthoriseô
Servióe êentre.
