safety, installation, operation and

1 Safety instructions
This product should be installed in accordance with all the
current local plumbing and building regulations. Pipes
used for connection must be certified according to the
same regulations.

The Compact is connected to the electrical mains, clear
fresh water mains and waste water drainage. For these
reasons, any installation, connection, and maintenance
work shall only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Qualified personnel are distinguished from non-qualified
personnel by the following skills and abilities:
•Certified professional training as well as additional
knowledge and experience,
•Knowledge of respective technical terms, relevant
rules and regulations,
•The ability to evaluate the assigned tasks, to
recognize potential hazards and take appropriate
safety measures.
If any defect is identified in the Compact, please contact
the service partner or Smixin.
The Compact is intended for hand washing only.
In order to use the Compact as intended, only use
consumables recommended by Smixin.
The Compact can be used by aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, lack of experience and knowledge, if
they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the Compact.

Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
The use of consumables other than those recommended
by Smixin is considered to be improper.
Change the soap pouch after 3,000 hand washing cycles
or after 6 months of use at the latest.
The Compact is constantly loaded with an electrical low-
voltage charge. Switch it immediately off if you discover
damage of adaptor or power cable.
The external cord of the power supply cannot be replaced;
if the cord is damaged, the power supply shallbe scrapped
and replaced with the same model.
The Compact shall only be used with the power supply
provided. Once installed, the power supply must remain
accessible at all time.
Operating the Compact close to other electronic
equipment may cause interference if the equipment is
inadequately protected. Observe any warning signs and
manufacturers recommendations.
Use only certified pipes for connection. For more
information, ask your local competent authorities.

2 General information
NO DRINKING WATER
The water delivered by the Compact is not
for drinking. It may contain traces of soap.
CE MARKING
The machine was developed referring to
the following directives:
•Low Voltage Directive:
2014/35/UE,
•EMC Directive: 2014/30/UE,
•Machinery Directive: 2006/42/EC,
•RoHS Directive: 2011/65/UE.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND
DISPOSAL
Dispose of packaging material and old
equipment in compliance with local safety
and environmental regulations.
When the Compact becomes outdated
and needs to be decommissioned, the
locally applicable legal provisions and
regulations regarding disposal must be
observed.
It is important to dispose of recyclable
materials properly and with consideration
given to our environment.

CAUTION:
•Be careful not to damage anything
when unpacking the components.
•Be careful with the cable sleeve and
never pull on it!
•Surfaces must be dry
1. Screw the threaded bar from the Tap fixation kit (7) onto
the Compact Tap module (1).
2. Position and center the Compacton the sink.Do not forget
to pass the water tube and cable sleeve through the hole
of the work surface.
3. Slide the rubber horseshoe from the Tap fixation kit
followed by the metal horseshoe on the inferior part of the
threaded bar. Make sure to first place the rubber
horseshoe in contact with the sink.
4. Screw the nut from the Tap onto the threaded bar with the
13-mm wrench. It must be tightly secured so the Compact
holds in place on the work surface.
6 Installation of the Black Box

1. Open the Black Box (2) by unscrewing the 4 screws of the
cover using a 6,5 x 1,2 mm slotted screwdriver.
2. Unscrew the pressure dome from the cable gland M32.
3. Pass the cable sleeve (1) on the cable gland and push it
into the Black Box. Clip the cubic ferrite around the 2
cables (4).
4. Connect the USB male cable on the embedded computer
of the Black Box, clip the other ferrite around USB cable
(3). If this ferrite is misplaced, use the key to open it.
5. Connect the male power connector from the cable sleeve
to the female connector power of the embedded
computer.
6. Screw the 2 wires to the terminal bloc.
7. Connect the female power supply connector from the
cable sleeve to the male connector of the power supply.
8. Close the Black Box by screwing the 4 screws.
6.2 Water installation

CAUTION
•Before proceeding to the installation,
check the condition of water tube.
•Do not connect the power supply
during these steps.
1. Determine the installation area of the Black Box (2) to
adjust the length of the flexible water connector.

2. Connect the water tube from the Compact to the flow
regulator on the WaterIn module. Do not hesitate to force
the tube down to the stop of the flow regulator.
3. Connect the water inlet flexible connector onto the WaterIn
module using wrenches.
4. Fix the WaterIn module onto an appropriate surface.
6.3 Installation of the Black Box

1. Remove the plastic protection of the double-sided tape on
the back of the Black Box.
2. Hold the Black Box on the surface and press 30 seconds.
NB: if it is not possible to fix the Black Box with tape, the
system can be fixed with 2 screws (position in red circles),
which are not provided.
3. Connect the power supply.

CAUTION
•Before proceeding to the installation,
check the condition of the soap pouch
and the Smart Mixing Unit.
•Carefully read the instructions on the
soap pouch.
•Do not interfere with the lift movement
of the Compact until it stops.

1. Open the Compact with the key (8).
2. Push the Yellow Lever towards the back of the system to
unlock the Docking Station.
3. Take the empty soap pouch out by pulling upwards before
taking it out of the system.
4. Delicately insert the newsoap pouch by putting the mixing
head in the receptacle.
5. Lock the Docking Station by pulling the Yellow Lever
towards you.
6. Press evenly on the top of the Compact to close it.Wait 20
seconds and trigger a cycle to check that the system runs
correctly.

au réseau de distribution d'eau potable et au réseau
d'évacuation des eaux usées. C'est pourquoi, l'installation,
le raccordement et la maintenance ne doivent être
effectués que par une personne qualifiée.
Une personne qualifiée se différencie d'une personne non
qualifiée de par les compétences et les habiletés
suivantes:
•Formation professionnelle ainsi que la
connaissance et l'expérience,
•Connaissance des termes techniques, des règles
et de la réglementation en vigueur,
•La capacité d'évaluer les tâches assignées, de
reconnaîtreles dangers potentiels et de prendre les
mesures de sécurité appropriées.

veuillez contacter le service partenaire ou Smixin.
Le Compact est destiné au lavage des mains uniquement.
