ASSEMBLYINSTRUCTIONS
CongratulationsonyourpurchaseofafineSnap‐BackShuffleboard®!
Tomakeitaseasyaspossibletoassembleyourtable,wehavepreparedthesepagesto
walkyouthroughtheassemblyprocess,stepbystep.
InordertoassemblethetableyouwillneedMETRICwrenchestotightenthescrews.The
wrenchisincludedinyourbox,soyoushouldbeabletoassemblethetablewiththetools
provided.
First,noticetherearetwo boxes.Theseboxescontainacradleboxandanaccessories
box.
Thecradleboxincludesacradle,aplayingsurface(alreadyassembledonthecradle),
ramps(alreadyassembled),SmallV‐shapedramp(alreadyassembled)andthetools.Also
enclosedarethemanufacturer'sassemblyinstructions,whichincludeschematicsofthe
tablegame,partslist,gamerulesandtheattachingscrews.
Theaccessoryboxincludeascoreboard,4legs,4leglevelers,2shelves,abottleof
powder,aboxofpucks,abrush,screws,andotheraccessories.
UNPACKBOXES
Whenyouopentheboxes,besureyouarecarefulwithanyboxescutteryoumightbe
usingtoensureyoudon'tcutthetablebymistake.
APhilipsscrewdriverisincludedinthecradlebox;itcanbeusedtoopentheaccessory
box.
Carefullyremovethelegs,theshelves,thescoreboardbox,thebrush,andthescrewsfrom
thebox.Trynottobumpthesepartsagainstthewoodfinishonthetabletoprevent
scratching.Thepucks,powder,screws,brush,502glueandleglevelersareintheshelves
box.
Next,youwillnoticethatthereareseveralplasticbagsofscrews.Itwasintendedthat
eachbagwouldcontainallthescrewsandwashersforeachpurpose.Forexample,onebag
islabeled"LEGSCREWS."andcontainsallthescrewsandwashersneededtoattachthelegs
tothebottomofthetable.Anotherbagislabeled"SHFLFSCREWS."
Taketheassembledcradleoutoftheboxandplaceitupsidedownonsomethingsoft,like
arugoracarpet.Aheavycorrugatedcardboardwilldoifyouarecarefulnottoscratchthe

surfaceagainstthefloor.
ASSEMBLELEGS
Thelegsareassembledtothetablebyinsertingthelegsintothesquarewooden
receptacles.Thereare4suchsquarereceptaclesinthebottomofthetable,oneforeachleg.
Insertthelegsintothereceptaclesbutdonotboltthemonyet.Notethatthereare2
threadedholesononesideofeachleg.Theseholesareforattachingtheshelves,sothe
legsshouldbeinsertedintothereceptacleswiththeseholesfacingtheotherleg.The
shelvesneedtobescrewedontothelegsbeforethelegsarescrewedtothetable.
Donotskipattachingtheshelves,evenifyoudon'tplantousetheshelvesforstorage.The
shelvesareanintegralpartofthestructureofthelegs,andareneededtoensurestabilityof
thetable.
Thesmallshelfisinsertedbetweentherearlegs,whicharelocatedatthenarrowendof
thetable.Theshelfsurfaceshouldfacetheoutsideofthetable.Findtheshelfscrewsinone
oftheplasticbags.Inserttheshelfscrewthroughtheholeonsideofshelfintothethreaded
holeintheleg.Handtightensscrewandrepeatwithothershelfscrews.
Thelargeshelfisinstalledinthesameway,handtightenedbetweenthefrontlegs,
locatedatthewideendofthetable.Theshelfsurfaceshouldfacetheoutsideofthetable.
Afterboththeshelvesareattachedtothelegs,youcanscrewthelegstothetable
receptaclebyinsertingthelegbolt,withwasher,throughthereceptacleholeintothe
threadedholeintheleg.Handtightenseachlegscrewstothelegs.
Oncealllegscrewsareon,usetheAllenwrenchtotightenthelegscrewsandtheshelf
screws.
Next,installtheleglevelersonthebottomoftheleg.Theleglevelerboltshouldbehand
tightenedsotheroundbaseengagesthethreadedboltwhenrotated.Insertthethreaded
boltintothethreadedholeinthemiddleofthelegbottom,andturnitclockwiseuntilitis
nearlyallthewaythreadedintothehole.Thenbackoffabout2turns.Repeatforthethree
otherleglevelers.
Nowthetablecanbeturnedover,rightsideup.Thetableisalittleheavy,you’dbetter
havetwoormorepeoplecarefullyliftonesideofthetableandsetituponitslegs.
INSTALLINGSCOREBOARD
Removethescoreboardunitfromthesmallbox.Checkthescoreboardtomakesureno

componentsweredislodgedduringshipping.Todothis,openthebackofthescoreboard
andinspecttheinside.Ifanyofthewoodbracketsareloose,usegluetoreattachthemto
ensurethedisplayglassandthePCBaresecuredtothefrontofthescoreboard.Ifyouneed
toglueanything,waituntiltheglueisdriedbeforeproceedingwiththerestoftheassembly.
Findthescoreboardattachingscrewsandhavethemready.Setthescoreboardonthe
back(Narrowend)ofthetable,andinsertthescoreboardscrewsthroughtheholesinthe
bottomofthescoreboard,intothethreadedholesinthebackofthetable.Tightenboth
screwswiththeAllenwrench.
Next,connectthe9‐pinconnectors.Pleasepayattentiontothedirectionofthemaleand
thefemaleconnectors.
Closethebackofthescoreboard,andplugtheunitin.Yourscoreboardshouldbeready
touse.Turnontheelectricalpowerbyusingtheswitchlocatedunderthefrontofthetable.
Thatswitchallowsyoutoturntheunitonduringplay,andturnitoffwhenfinished.The
scorefortheredisincreasedbypushingtheredbuttonclosesttothescoreboardand
reducedbypushingtheotherredbutton.Ofcourse,theblueworksthesameway.The
scoreisresetto“0000”byholdinganyofthebuttonsinfor2seconds.
FINALSTEPS
Placethetableinthelocationyouplantouseit.Wipeoffthesurfacewiththebrushto
removeanystraypiecesofpaper,plasticorcardboard.Thensprinklesomeshuffleboard
powderontheplayingsurface.Werecommendthatyouuseafineshuffleboardpowder
product.YoucanpurchaseitfromMegaManiaDiversions,LLCandwewillshipitouttoyou
immediately.Oryoucangetitfrommostbilliardsupplystores.
Youshouldlevelthetablebyusingalevelandadjustingtheleglevelers.Oryoucanlevel
thetablebyslidingtheweightontheplayingsurfaceandwatchingifitmovestoonesideor
another.Eitherway,theleglevelercanbeadjustedbyturningthelevelerclockwiseor
counterclockwisetomovethelegupordown.Youwillneed2peopletolevelthetable‐
onetoraisethetablewhiletheotherrotatestheadjusteronthebottomoftheleg.

HOWTOUSETHECLIMATICADJUSTER
Thetablecomesfromthefactoryinalevelstate.Youwillwanttomaintainthesurface
aslevelaspossible,orperhapsjustslightlyconcave.Overtime,however,changing
humidityconditionssometimescausetheplayingsurfacetobecomeslightlyconcaveor
convex.Thisconditioncanbecorrectedbytighteningtheadjustingnutsontheclimatic
adjuster.Theseclimaticadjustersarecustomarilyfoundonfineshuffleboardtables,andall
workinthesameway.Movingtheadjustingnutsoutwardwilltendtomakethesurface
moreconcave,andmovingtheadjustingnutsinwardwilltendtomakethesurfacemore
convex.Adjustmentsshouldbemadegradually.Makeanadjustment,andlettheplaying
surfaceadjustoveradayortwo.Thencheckit,andadjustfurtherifnecessary.

SNAP‐BACKSHUFFLEBOARD
RULESOFTHEGAME
TheobjectofthegameistoreachtheGameGoalbeforeyouropponent.
HOWTOSTART:
‐Acointossdecideswhostartsthegame.Thewinnerofthecointossalsodecidesifthe
gamewillstartfromtheleftortheright.
‐Thefirstweight(Blue)isslidfromthefrontofthetabletowardstheback,sothatit
bouncesfromthebackbumperontotheothersideoftheplayingsurface.
‐Theopponentthenslideshis/herweight(Red)sothatitbouncesfromthebackbumperto
trytobumpofftheblueweightortoplacehis/herweightbeyondtheBlue.
‐Theplayerscontinuetotaketurnsuntilallthe8weightsareplayed.
‐Atthispoint,theplayersdeterminewhichteamscoresandaddthescorefromthisround
tothegamescore.
‐Thegamethencontinuesfromtheotherside,withtheplayerwhoscoredlaststartingthe
playinthenextround.
‐Playcontinuesbyalternatingsidesuntilthetotalgamescoreofoneoftheopponents
reachesorexceedstheGameGoal.
SCORINGOFPOINTS:
Snap‐BackShuffleboard®isnormallyplayedtoaGameGoalof21points,althoughthegoal
canbeadifferentnumberuponmutualconsentofthecontestants.
‐ Whenaweightcomestorestonascoring(Black)line,thatweightscoresthesmaller
number.Theweightmustclearthefirstlinecompletelytoscore.
‐Ifaweightcomestorestbeforeenteringthescoringsurfacearea,itmustberemovedfrom
theplayingsurfacebeforetheopponentplaysthenextweight.
‐Ifaweightisoverhangingthefrontoftheplayingsurface(4pointsarea),thatweighthasa
scoreof5points.
‐Onlyoneplayercanscorepointsinaround.
‐ Pointtotalforaroundisthesumatthepointsforeachweightthatisclosertothefront
endoftheplayingsurfacethananyoftheopponent'sweights.
ExampleA:lf,afterthrowingall8weights,thereisaBlueweightandaRedweightinthe4
pointsection,buttheRedweightisaheadoftheBlue,onlytheRedscorespoints.
ExampleB:Ifthereare2BlueweightsaheadoftheRedweights,the2Blueweightsscore
points,andtheRedweightsdonotscore.
STRATEGY:
Aneffectivestrategywouldbetoslideyourweightsintoscoringposition,thentoshield
thoseweightsfromyouropponentbyusinglaterturnstoblockthemfrombeingknocked
outofscoringposition.
