Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für einen SOBEK
Drives Motor entschieden haben.
Die SPIDER-X Motoren sind bürstenlose Motoren
und wurden speziell für den Einsatz in
Multikoptern ausgelegt.
Eigenschaften:
-Neodym Magnete bis 150°C hitzefest
-Spezieller Lackdraht bis 180°C hitzefest
-Leistungsoptimierter Blechschnitt
-Optimierte Kühlluftführung mit Radiallüfter
-FEM berechneter Magnetkreis
SPIDER-X Motoren benötigen einen Drehzahl-
steller für sensorlose, bürstenlose Motoren.
2. Sicherheitshinweise
Die SPIDER-X Motoren sind Außenläufer und
haben ein außen drehendes Gehäuse. Deshalb
nicht während des Betriebes an das Gehäuse
fassen. Überprüfen Sie vor dem Betrieb die
Freigängigkeit.
Kontrollieren Sie regelmäßig die Madenschrau-
be die zur Befestigung der Welle in den
SPIDER-X Motoren dient, diese kann sich z.B.
durch Vibrationen lockern.
Die max. zulässigen Drehzahlen entnehmen
Sie bitte Punkt 8., Technische Daten.
Sobald Antriebsakku und Regler an den
SPIDER-X angeschlossen sind, besteht die
Möglichkeit, dass der Motor anläuft (z.B. durch
Fehlbedienung).
Ein Elektromotor (speziell mit Luftschraube
oder Rotor) kann erhebliche Verletzungen ver-
ursachen. Ebenso können, durch sich lösende
Teile, erhebliche Verletzungen hervorgerufen
werden.
Der Betrieb dieses Motors ist nur in Situationen
zulässig, in denen Sach- und Personenschäden
ausgeschlossen sind.
Einen beschädigten SPIDER-X (z.B. durch
mechanische oder elektrische Einwirkung)
keinesfalls weiter verwenden. Ansonsten kann
es zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt zu einem
plötzlichen Versagen des Motors kommen.
Ein Elektromotor wird durch zu hohe
Wärmeentwicklung zerstört. SOBEK Drives
SPIDER-X Motoren sind kurzfristig bis 180°C
Wicklungs- bzw. 150°C Magnettemperatur
hitzefest. Es ist gegebenenfalls für eine
wirkungsvolle Kühlung zu sorgen.
Den Motor keinesfalls selbst öffnen.
Empfindliche Teile im Innern könnten be-
schädigt werden. Das Öffnen des Motors
führt zur Aufhebung jeglicher Gewähr-
leistungsansprüche.
Eine Benutzung des Motors mit Drehzahlstellern
für Bürstenmotoren oder ein Direktanschluss an
Netzteilen ist nicht zulässig. Dies kann den Motor
beschädigen.
3. Anschluss an SOBEK Drives Drehzahlsteller
Für den Betrieb der SPIDER-X Motoren empfiehlt
sich der Einsatz eines SOBEK Drives Drehzahl-
stellers.
Schließen Sie die drei Motorkabel an die
Motoranschlusskabel des Reglers an. Eine
Drehrichtungsumkehr des Motors erfolgt durch das
Tauschen von 2 der 3 Motorkabel, über
Programmierung via Programmiereinheit oder
Modusprogrammierung.

Die Motorkabel sind die herausgeführte
Wicklung des Motors. Sie sind aus nicht
lötbarem Kupferlackdraht mit speziellen
Lötenden und dürfen daher nicht gekürzt
werden! Die Kürzung der Motorkabel führt
zur Aufhebung jeglicher Gewährleistungs-
ansprüche.
4. Einbau
Bei der Befestigung des Motors am Flansch ist auf
die Einschraubtiefe der Schrauben zu achten, da
ansonsten die Wicklung beschädigt werden kann.
Die max. Einschraubtiefe beträgt bei allen
SPIDER-X-Motoren 5 mm. Desweiteren ist darauf
zu achten, dass die Kabel des Motors beim Einbau
nicht gequetscht werden.
5. Wartung
Bürstenlose Motoren sind wartungsfreie Motoren.
Es ist ausreichend, den Motor generell von
Verschmutzungen zu reinigen bzw. vor Staub,
Wasser etc. zu schützen. Bei Verschleiß der
Kugellager den SPIDER-X Motor bitte zum Service
an KONTRONIK + SOBEK Drives einschicken.
6. Gewährleistung
Die KONTRONIK + SOBEK Drives GmbH bietet
24 Monate Gewährleistung auf dieses Produkt bei
Kauf innerhalb der EU. Produktkäufe außerhalb
der EU entsprechen den jeweiligen gesetzlichen
Vorschriften. Alle weitergehenden Ansprüche sind
ausgeschlossen. Dies gilt insbesondere für
Schadenersatzansprüche die durch Ausfall oder
Fehlfunktion ausgelöst wurden. Für Person-
enschäden, Sachschäden und deren Folgen, die
aus unserer Lieferung oder Arbeit entstehen,
können wir, außer bei Vorsatz oder grober
Fahrlässigkeit unsererseits, keine Haftung
übernehmen, da uns eine Kontrolle der
Handhabung und Anwendung nicht möglich ist.
Jegliche Gewährleistungsansprüche verfallen bei
Öffnen des KONTRONIK + SOBEK Drives
Produktes.
Zur Anerkennung der Gewährleistung muss ein
maschinenerstellter Originalkaufbeleg auf dem das
Produkt, das Kaufdatum und die Bezugsquelle
erkennbar sind, beigelegt sein. Bei Einsendung ist
eine genaue Fehlerbeschreibung notwendig, die
folgende Parameter enthalten sollte: Verwendeter
Motor, Getriebeuntersetzung, Modell,
Luftschraube, Anzahl und Typ der Akkus, sowie
zeitliches Auftreten des Fehlers.
Vorzugweise ist das KONTRONIK + SOBEK
Drives Serviceformular zu verwenden.
Bitte vergessen Sie nicht die korrekte
Rücksendeadresse anzugeben.
Die Einsendung einer Reparatur kann über den
Fachhändler oder direkt an uns erfolgen. Die
Sendung muss ausreichend frankiert sein. Unfreie
Sendungen werden nicht angenommen.
Sollte eine Reparatur nicht möglich sein, wird das
Produkt nur auf ausdrücklichen Wunsch und zu
Ihren Kosten zurückgeschickt. An Sonsten wird es
dem ordnungsgemäßen Recycling zugeführt.
Elektronische Bauteile dürfen nicht in
den Hausmüll geraten, sondern müssen
nach der Gebrauchsdauer sach- und
umweltgerecht entsorgt werden!
Die nationalen und regionalen Abfallbestimmungen
müssen befolgt werden und sind in die dafür
vorgesehenen Systemen der Getrenntentsorgung
zu geben.

1. General
Thank you for choosing a SOBEK Drives motor.
The SPIDER-X motors are brushless motors,
which are specially designed for use in high
performance multi rotors.
Characteristics:
-Neodymium magnets, heat resistant up to
150°C
-Dedicated enameled wire, heat resistant up
to 180°C
-High performance metal sheets
-Optimized ventilation with radial fan
-FEM optimized magnetic circuit
SPIDER-X motors require an ESC for sensorless,
brushless motors.
2. Safety Notes
SPIDER-X motors are outrunning motors.
Because they have an outside turning housing,
never touch them during operation. Please
check that the motor housing can turn freely
before start.
Check the headless screws which fix the shaft
in the SPIDER-X motors regularly. E.g. by
vibrations of an unbalanced propeller it is
possible, that the headless screws can get
loose.
Please refer to section 8 Technical Data for
maximum RPM values.
As soon as an ESC and a battery pack are
connected to the motor, it is possible that the
motor starts (e.g. by operating error or by
electrical defect).
This motor (especially with mounted propeller or
rotor or by flying off parts) can cause
considerable injuries.
The usage of this motor is only allowed in
situations where property damage and personal
damage are excluded.
A further usage of a damaged SPIDER-X is not
allowed (e.g. by mechanical or electrical
influence). Otherwise a sudden malfunction
could appear to a later point of time.
The motor will be destroyed by too high
temperature. The winding of the SPIDER-X is
heat resistant up to 180°C and the magnets up
to 150°C for a short time. Please pay attention to
sufficient cooling
Do not open the motor. Sensitive parts inside
the motor may be damaged. Opening the
motor terminate all warranty claims.
Usage of these motors with speed controls for
brushed motors or by direct connection to a power
supply is not admissible. Such a use can damage
the motor.
3. Connection to SOBEK Drives ESCs
The SOBEK Drives ESCs are fitting perfectly in
performance and power to control a SPIDER-X
motor.
Connect the motor cables with the cables of the
motor side cables of the ESC. The motor rotation
could be reversed by changing 2 of the 3 motor
cables, by programming via a programming unit or
by mode programming.
The motor cables are made of non solderable
enameled copper wires with solder endings.
You must not shorten these cables. The
winding will be irreparably damaged. Cutting
motor cables will terminate all warranty
claims.

4. Mounting of this motor
When fixing the motor on the front flange, the
permissible screw-in depth has to be considered.
Maximum screw-in depth for SPIDER-X motors
is 5 mm. Pay special attention not to squeeze
cables.
5. Maintenance
Brushless motors need no maintenance.
Disassembling may damage the motor. It is
sufficient to keep the motor clean from dirt and
water. If necessary to exchange the ball bearings
please send the SPIDER-X to KONTRONIK +
SOBEK Drives for service.
6. Warranty
KONTRONIK + SOBEK Drives guarantees this
product to be free from factory defects in material
and workmanship for a period of 24 months from
date of purchase within the EU. Warranty for
purchases made outside the EU is in line with the
respective legal regulations. This warranty does
not cover: suitability for specific application,
components worn by use, application of reverse or
improper voltage, tampering, misuse or shipping.
Our warranty liability shall be limited to repairing or
replacing the unit to our original specifications. All
warranty claims determine with opening or
deconstructing the KONTRONIK + SOBEK Drives
product. Because we have no control over the
installation or use of these products, in no case
shall our liability exceed the original cost of the
product. To accept guarantee the original bill on
which the product, the date of purchase and the
dealer is named must be sent together with the
product. Also a detailed description of fault is
necessary and should include: used motor,
propeller, gear ratio, model type, count and type of
batteries, time of failure. Please use the
KONTRONIK + SOBEK Drives service form.
Do not forget to note your address on your
shipment.
By the act of using this motor the user accepts all
resulting liability.
Repairs can be obtained through your distributor or
if you are located in Europe, directly by
KONTRONIK + SOBEK Drives. Deliveries freight
forward cannot be accepted.
Please obey: To handle a replacement a valid
credit card number with security code is necessary.
In case of an irreparable damage the product will
be returned to you only on your request and at your
own cost.
Electric motors may not been thrown out
with household rubbish. They should be
disposed of properly and environmentally
safe after their service life. The national
and local refuse disposal regulations
must be observed.
