WARRANTY & CUSTOMER SERVICE
There is a one year warranty on your air purifier from the date of
purchase.
All material or manufacturing defects will be repaired free of charge.
The following applies:
Any repairs or replacement of components during the warranty
period will not result in an extension of the warranty period.
The warranty will expire if any alternations have been made, not
genuine components have been fitted or if the air purifier has been
repaired by a third party.
Component subject to normal wear and tear, such as the air filter,
are not covered by the warranty.
The warranty is only valid on presentation of the original, unaltered,
and date-stamped purchase receipt.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by actions that
deviate from those as described in the user’s manual or by neglect.
The warranty does not cover faults caused by dirt of third party
products.
The warranty does not cover accidental damage.
All claims for compensation, including consequential damage, will
not be entertained.
To prevent unnecessary expenses, we recommend that you always
carefully read the user’s manual first. If this does not provide a solution,
call Solenco SA and we will be happy to help.
This appliance is not intended for use by a person (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety. Children must be supervised at all times.

SAFETY INFORMATION
Failure to comply with the warnings listed below may result in electric shock,
serious injury or death.
This product should be used only in accordance with the
specifications outlined in this manual. Usage other than what has been
specified here may result in serious injury.
This air purifier is intended for use in domestic applications only and must
not be used in rooms under the following conditions:
Potentially explosive atmosphere
Aggressive atmospheres
Keep away from children and pets: Do not allow children or pets to
play with or around the unit, which could result in injury. Be sure the
unit is inaccessible to children when left unattended.
Keep the unit grounded: A grounding plug is an essential safety feature
that helps reduce the risk of shock or fire.
Protect the cord: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance is not a substitute for proper ventilation, regular vacuum
cleaning or use of an extractor hood or fan while cooking.
Run on a stable surface.
Never operate the unit in pooled or standing water. If electrical wiring
or components become wet, thoroughly dry them before use. If in
doubt, do not use the air purifier and consult a qualified electrician or a
Solenco approved engineer.
Do not clog or block the air intakes by placing the unit too close to
obstructions, such as curtains, walls or anything that will restrict the air
inlet. This may cause the unit to overheat and result in a fire or
electrical hazard.
Always use a clean filter. Do not allow any material to clog the filter.
Never use without a filter. Always check, and if necessary clean or
replace the filter before switching the air purifier on. Do not allow oil,
grease or other contaminants to be drawn into the unit. Do not clean
the unit with organic solvents. The power light will flicker when the
filters have reached the end of their life cycle.
Always press the “Power” key before unplugging the unit. Always
unplug the unit when not in use or moving location. To disconnect, grip
the plug and pull from the power socket. Never pull by the cord.
Repairs must be done by an approved Solenco service engineer.
Repairs carried out by unqualified or unapproved persons may cause
damage to the unit or injury to persons or property and void the
warranty.
CLEANING & MAINTAINING THE COMBINATION FILTER
The air purifier and Pre-filter should be cleaned at least once every month.
More frequent cleaning may be required depending on environmental
conditions.
FILTERS
Clean with the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. This will remove
lint and dirt.
NOTE: Only the EXTRA PRE-FILTER is washable. Make sure the filter is
dry before fixing it to the combination filter.
The Combination Filter is a single unit with multiple layers: the Pre-Filter,
Activated Carbon Filter and HEPA filter.
MAINTENANCE CAUTION
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth to wipe the external surface of the unit.
NOTE: Do NOT stick any foreign objects or your fingers inside the unit.
CAUTION: Do NOT use gasoline, benzene, thinners, harsh cleaners, etc on
and/in the unit while cleaning as it will damage the product.
NEVER use alcohol or other solvents.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Unplug the unit before carrying out any of the following service checks:
Insufficient air flow
Check that the filters are clean.
Check for any obstructions in the air inlet and
outlet.
Unit will not start
Check the power supply and electric fuses.
Check that the Front Cover is latched firmly in
place.
Check that the Filter is firmly in place.
Excessive noise
Check for any foreign objects in contact with the
fan.
The filter may need to be replaced.
The foam sealing gaskets have been installed
incorrectly.
Uneven positioning.

SAFETY INFORMATION
Use appliance only for intended household use as described in this
manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not place anything on top of the unit.
Do not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical
functions on this unit. Doing so will void the warranty.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside this unit. All servicing
should be performed by qualified Solenco-approved engineers.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this
fan with any solid-state speed control device.

4. “UV-C” BUTTON: Press this button to switch the UV lamp on
or off.
5. “TIMER” BUTTON: When pressing this button, the unit can be
timed to operate at intervals of 2 hours, 4 hours and 8 hours.
The unit will stop automatically when the selected operating
time has been reached. A warning light automatically indicated
the remaining operating time. To select the continuous
operating mode, press the button repeatedly until no indicator
lights are lit.
IMPORTANT: Switch the unit off and unplug it when not in use.
INSTALLING & REMOVING FILTERS
REPLACE FILTER INDICATOR
The REPLACE FILTER light will flicker continuously indicating that it is
time to replace the filter. Replace the filter according to the instruction then
press the REPLACE FILTER button and hold for 5 seconds to restart the
system. The light will stop flickering.
* The Combination Filter is a single unit with multiple layers: the Pre-Filter,
Activated Carbon Filter and HEPA filter. This filter lasts approximately 6
months.
1. Open the front cover from the bottom of the unit.
2. Remove the Combination filter by pulling the two strips
3. Insert new Combination filter. Consult the strips on the filter for
correct installation direction.
4. Reattach the extra Pre-filter to the combination filter.
5. Reattach the front cover of the unit and securely latch into place.
6. Press and hold the REPLACE FILTER button for 5 seconds to reset
Filter Change Indicator.
This product has received the Seal of
Approval from the Allergy Foundation of
South Africa. It has been scientifically
tested by AFSA and/or independent
laboratories to prove its efficiency at
reducing or removing allergens or
chemical content from the environment.
Due to patient variation, however, use of
these products cannot be guaranteed to
reduce symptoms in all allergy sufferers.

OPERATION GUIDE
BEFORE OPERATING THE AIR PURIFIER:
1. Carefully remove your air purifier from box and plastic bag.
2. Select a firm, level and flat location for the air purifier.
3. For proper air flow, locate the unit at least 30cm from any wall or
furniture. Make sure none of the grills are blocked.
4. Before using, remove the filters then remove and discard the
bags.
5. Plug the power cord into a right voltage AC outlet.
IMPORTANT: When moving the air purifier, always lift the unit by the
carrying handle located on the back.

AIR CLEANING SYSTEM
Improve your indoor air quality with the COMEFRESH CF-8500 multi-step
air cleaning system. Multiple levels of cleaning include a HEPA filter that
captures allergens, an Activated Carbon filter to remove odours and UV-C
light technology enhances germ-killing.
PRE-FILTER: Captures initial dust and allergen particles.
ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER: Absorbs formaldehyde, benzene and other
noxious gas.
HEPA FILTER: Captures dust, smoke, pollen and other allergens.
UV-C LIGHT: Destroys micro-organisms, including germs, viruses, bacteria
and fungi (such as mould toxins).
PCO: When Photocatalyst Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) absorbs Ultraviolet (UV)
radiation, it will produce hydrogen gas and hydroxyl radical help remove
VOCs, odours and kill germs.

1. “POWER” BUTTON: Press this button to switch unit on or off
2. “REPLACE FILTER” BUTTON: When light is flickering, press
and hold button for 5 seconds to reset the filter change
indicator.
3. “SPEED” BUTTON: The fan speed of the unit can be adjusted
when the unit is in operation (L/I; M/II; H/III). The fan speed
will adjust from Low to Medium to High with each press of the
button.
