WARNING! FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY!
• The Mesa fire pit (“Mesa:”) is for outdoor use only. Do NOT use
inside any enclosed area or under overhanging structures or trees.
• Do not use Mesa for indoor heating. Toxic carbon monoxide can
accumulate and cause asphyxiation and possibly death.
• CHILD SAFETY HAZARD. This product is not intended for use
by children. Adult use only. Mesa is not a toy. Exercise the same
caution you would with an open fire.
• Mesa will be extremely hot when in use. Never attempt to touch or
move Mesa during use or before it has completely cooled down.
Any direct contact may lead to serious injury whether accidental or
otherwise. Do not lean any objects against Mesa.
• Mesa must always be used with its included stand, especially when
placed directly on wood, grass, PVC, or composite materials.
• Exercise extreme caution when using Mesa on or around
combustible surfaces. Use on wood, plastic, composite, or other
combustible surfaces is at your own risk and can lead to charring
or ignition if not adequately elevated, insulated, or misused. Even
when using the stand, wood and other combustible materials differ
significantly in quality and have varying heat resistance ratings.
Further elevate or insulate Mesa if needed to avoid potential
damage.
• Do not use gasoline, lighter fluid, or other flammable liquid to light
or relight Mesa. Doing so can lead to serious injury or property
damage, in particular if the flammable liquid pools in the bottom of
the fire pit.
• Never leave Mesa unattended while in use, hot or while cooling off,
especially if used near combustible surfaces.
• Do not leave on combustible surface overnight after use even if
you believe it has cooled off.
• Be aware of potential damage to people and property from
embers.
• Mesa is designed for use with natural fuel sources (wood, pellets)
and may not function properly with other fuel sources.
• Do not alter or modify Mesa in any manner.
• Do not store or use gasoline or any other flammable vapors or
liquids in the vicinity of Mesa.
• Do not wear flammable or loose clothing when operating Mesa.
• Do not use Mesa in windy conditions.
• Keep all electrical cables away from Mesa.
• Do not lean over Mesa when lighting or when they are in use.
• After a period of non-use, check your Mesa for signs of damage
and creosote build-up. Do not operate until the necessary repairs
and/or clean-up is done.
• Do not use water to extinguish the fire as this could cause damage
to the Mesa as well as injury to the user.
• Dispose of ashes properly! Ashes can maintain heat and
combustion can occur even after several hours.
• Serious injury, death and/or property damage may occur if the
above instructions are not followed exactly. User assumes all
responsibility for safety.
• Mesa’s pellet adapter should be used any time you plan on burning
pellets to allow for optimal airflow and consistent heat. Burning
pellets without the pellet adapter could cause Mesa to become
extremely hot, and could potentially damage your surfaces. Use at
your own risk.

Mesa’s essential accessories:
LIGHTING WOOD:
LIGHTING PELLETS:
5. If you’re using pellets with Mesa,
always use the pellet adapter to
ensure proper airflow and consistent
heat output.
6. Place Mesa’s flame ring on top,
facing up. This will direct your flame
upwards for the best secondary burn.
7. Light it up! Use Mesa with your
choice of pellets, sticks, chunk wood,
or kindling.
1. Place your fire starter in the middle
of Mesa’s burn chamber.
3. Start adding sticks, chunk wood,
or kindling slowly. As your pieces of
wood catch fire, add more and more
until Mesa is full. (fig. 2)
2. Use a long lighter to light the fire
starter. (fig. 1)
4. Never stack wood higher than Mesa’s
interior burn holes. Doing so will cut
off airflow, and will cause your fire
to smoke. Make sure wood is resting
under the holes, and that they are
clearly visible after fueling. (fig. 3)
5. Fuel your fire as often as you need
to keep Mesa’s flame burning bright
all night!

2. Add pellets to the burn chamber until
they are resting right below Mesa’s
interior burn holes. Never add pellets
higher than Mesa’s interior burn holes.
Doing so will cut off airflow and cause
your fire to smoke. (fig. 4b)
1. Place the pellet adapter into the empty
burn chamber. (fig. 4a)
3. Place a fire starter on top and in the
center of the pellets. (fig. 5)
4. Use a long lighter to light the fire
starter. (fig. 6)
5. Allow the fire starter to ignite the pellets.
Add more pellets as needed.
NOTE: Adding too many pellets all at once can
choke your fire, which can cause it to smoke. Be
sure to add small amounts (approx. 1/4 cup) at
a time.
6. When using pellets, the pellet adapter
MUST be used to ensure proper airflow
and a safe, consistent heat output.
