The Sonos®Controller for iPad™is a free application that turns your
iPad into a large, touch-screen Controller for the Sonos Multi-Room
Music System. When combined with Sonos ZonePlayers in the rooms
of your choice, you can find and play all the music you want, all over
your house. Whether you’re enjoying music from your personal music
collection stored on your computer, free Internet radio, or the most
popular online music services, the Sonos Controller for iPad gives you
total control at the touch of a finger. And you can download it for free
on the App Store in seconds.
The Sonos Controller for iPad takes music control to a whole new level.
Optimized for the iPad’s large touch screen, finding and playing music
has never been easier…or as much fun. With the iPad’s multi-pane view,
you can see your music menu, what’s playing in every room, and what’s
in your queue, complete with vivid album art. You can browse, search
and drag and drop to create the perfect playlist. Then, share the music

iPad’s large touch screen, anyone in the house can be the
DJ. Wirelessly play the same song in every room — perfectly
synchronized. Or, mix it up and play different songs in different
rooms. And control your entire Sonos system over your home
Wi-Fi network.
Find, discover and control your music on the large,
touch screen
Thanks to the iPad’s large touch screen, you can view your
zones, music menu, now playing pane, and volume controls
all at once — in landscape or portrait mode. Quickly search
for your favorite artists by typing on the virtual keyboard and
browse through albums by pointing and icking. Then simply
drag and drop to add to your queue. Link and unlink zones
with a tap. And control the volume in any room from anywhere.
Instant access to endless music
With Sonos ZonePlayers and your iPad, you can find and play
any song from your personal library of music, like iTunes®,
stored on your computer or NAS drive. And Sonos works
seamlessly with the most popular music services and
thousands of free Internet radio stations, so you can stream
millions of songs and stations from the Internet to the rooms
of your choice — without ever turning on your computer.

With free automatic software updates you’ll always have the
newest Sonos features and music services to enjoy. Which
means your system will keep getting better even after you buy.
And the App Store will automatically notify you when software

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Apple compatibility
Supports iPad Wi-Fi and iPad Wi-Fi + 3G. Requires iPhone
OS version 3.2 or greater. Latest version of iTunes software
recommended. Sonos cannot wirelessly access music that is
stored only on your iPad.
Sonos hardware requirements
Requires at least one Sonos ZonePlayer. To start playing
music, one ZonePlayer or ZoneBridge must be connected
to the router, then all the rest work wirelessly.
Sonos software requirements
Version 3.3 or higher
Wireless connectivity*
The iPad connects to your Sonos system through your home Wi-Fi
network. 3G connection is not supported.
