Enhanced functions and changes
Your P800 contains some functions in addition to those
described in the User’s Guide. This publication contains a
description of these features.
The publication is valid for the Organiser revision R2A or later.
Open the flip and in Applications select
View > System information
and tap the arrows to find out which revision that is installed in
your P800.
Some changes, made after that the guide was printed, are also
described here.
For each enhanced function and change, we have written a new
section, or revised existing, using the same layout as in the
User’s Guide.
You find the new or changed sections below separate headings,
for example Phone, page 51, column 1. Phone is the chapter
name and page 51, column 1 specifies that the left column on
page 51 is affected.
The page and column numbers refer to the first edition of the
English User’s Guide, R1A.

Phone, page 51, column 1
After the section Controlling tone based service, add:
Support for TTY
Teletype (TTY) accessory, text phone, is an aid for deaf and
speech-impaired persons.
To use the TTY device together with the P800
1. Connect the TTY device to the accessories connector at the
base of the P800.
2. In Phone, go to
Edit > Preferences > TTY Accessory
and select
the check box to set the P800 into TTY mode.
Refer to the TTY device user’s manual how to use the device. It
can be necessary to use an adaptor between the TTY device and
the P800.
You can still make normal calls with the P800 in TTY mode but
other accessories such as handsfree will not work properly.

Do not open the flip during a TTY call. It will impair the quality
of the connection.

Select the check box when you want to use the P800 together
with a TTY accessory. Teletype (TTY) accessory, text phone, is

Change the paragraphs below the heading Delay timer to:
CommuniCam has a self-timer with a delay of 1-25 seconds.
The delay time is the time between the moment you activate the
shutter release and the moment when the picture is taken.
To set the delay time and the picture freeze time
1. Tap
CommuniCam > Preferences

3. In the
Delay timer
dialogue box, tap and drag the bar to the
desired time and tap
Done
.
In this dialogue box you can also set the picture freeze time.
This specifies the time the picture is frozen in the screen after
you have taken it.
To take a picture with self-timer
1. Select

2. Tap
CommuniCam > Delay timer
.
3. Press the camera button. The timer beeps during the delay
time before the picture is taken.
If the self-timer is set, you will see the timer icon display.
Tap
CommuniCam > Delay timer
again to deactivate the self-timer.
Night mode
Night mode gives you better pictures in low light conditions.
Select
CommuniCam > Night mode
to set the camera into night
mode.
Set the self-timer delay time and picture freeze time.

Mute shutter
Select
CommuniCam > Mute shutter
to turn off the camera sound
when taking pictures.

Zooming pictures, widescreen and full

From the detail view of the picture you can:
• Tap to zoom in.
• Tap and drag the zoomed picture to view specific details in
the picture.
• Tap to zoom out.
• Tap a landscape picture to display it over the whole screen,
widescreen. Tap it again to go back.
•Select
Edit > Preferences
and specify the picture orientation in
widescreen.
• Tap a portrait picture to display it over the whole screen, full
screen. Tap it again to go back.
• Rotate the Jog Dial to browse the pictures in widescreen and
full screen views.

• In the thumbnail and list views, select the pictures you want
to delete, move or copy, by selecting the check boxes beside

• In the list view, select the video clips you want to delete,

names. Then select

Using your P800 with a PBX
A PBX equipped for “mobile extensions” work in the same way
as a calling card server, receiving the wanted telephone number
as DTMF tones. Use the calling card feature to call colleagues
using internal extension numbers.
The P800 allows 2-digit calling. This can, for example, be used
for calling the operator at 09 or an external line at 00.
