SETTING THE CAMERA
➢Attach the filter on the lens by gently rotating the filter ring after
removing the lens cover
➢Insert the battery in to the camera
➢Mount the camera on the tripod/ quadpod
➢Turn on the IR light and point it on the PV module
➢Adjust the focus by rotating the focal ring in the lens
➢Set the camera parameters like exposure time and the ISO
value
➢Connect the camera to the smartphone through the
playmemmories app if required
➢Turn of the IR light after getting a focused image view in the
camera display/smartphone screen.
➢Connect the constant current power supply to the module
➢Set the current in the power supply (max 1.2 times the Isc)
➢Capture the image by using the smartphone application or the
camera trigger button.

Adjust the camera parameters
Set the shooting mode to M(Manual mode).
➢Exposure time 20-30 sec
MENU →(Camera Settings) →[Exposure step] → exposure time.
➢ISO 800-1600
(Sensitivity to light is expressed by the ISO number, the larger the
number, the higher the sensitivity.)
MENU →(Camera Settings) →[ISO] → desired setting.
➢Manual Focus Mode
(Selects the focus method to suit the movement of the subject.)
MENU →(Camera Settings) → [Focus Mode] →.
➢Image Format
Save in RAW format

PlayMemories Mobile
To use [Smart Remote Embedded] or [Send to Smartphone], etc., the
application PlayMemories Mobile should be installed on your smartphone.
Download and install the application PlayMemories Mobile from your
smartphone’s application store. If PlayMemories Mobile is already installed
on your smartphone, be sure to update it to the latest version.

Connecting an Android smartphone to this product
1. Launch PlayMemories Mobile on your smartphone.
2. Select the model name of this product (DIRECT-xxxx: xxxx).
3. Input the password that is displayed on this product.
The smartphone is connected to the product.

Connecting the product to an iPhone or iPad
1. Select the model name of this product (DIRECT-xxxx: xxxx) on the Wi-Fi
setting screen of your iPhone or iPad.
2. Input the password displayed on this product.
The iPhone or iPad is connected to the product.
3. Confirm that your iPhone or iPad was connected to the “SSID” shown on
this product.
4. Return to the “Home” screen and launch PlayMemories Mobile.
