Preparing batteries
Use the following batteries in this camera

Slide the cover in the direction of the arrow

contacts can significantly shorten tlle operating

three minutes, the camera turns off

The PO\_,TR lamp (green) lights up and the
power is on. When you mm on yottr camera
i\)r the first tilne, the DATE NOTATION
screen appears on the LCD screen

To turn off the power
Slide the lens cover in the opposite direction
of the an-ow or press the POWER again.
The POWER lamp goes out, and the camera
turns of±_
• Slide the lens cover closed until it clicks into
place
• If you open the lens cover too quickly, the
camera m@lt not turn on. If this happens, close
the cover and then open i_ again more slowly

To change the current settings of the
camera, bring up the menu, and use the
control button to make the changes.
For each item, press MENIr to display the
menu and press Air on the conn-ol button
to select the desired value, then press EXEC
to make the setting.
Press MENU. then the menu disappears
from the LCD screen.

The POWER lamp (green) lights up and the
DATE NOTATION screen appears on the
LCD screen.

select [DATE&TIME SET] in [(LOCK SET]

that the (LOCK SET screen disappears from
the L(D screen

provides the power for saving the time data, is

You can choose the image size (number of
pixels) according to the kind of images you
want to shoot. The larger you make the
image size, the better your image, but also
the larger the amount of data needed to
preserve yonr image. This means you can
save fewer anages m your "Memory Stick."

Basic still image shooting -- Using auto adjustment mode

slide the lens cover to turn on
the power.
The name of the folder where the image will
be recorded appears on the LCD screen for
approximately five seconds.
•[FOCUS] is set to [AUTO] at the factol 7
