Purpose of this manual
This manual is the Service Manual of the HD Color Video Camera SRG-300SE/301SE.
This manual contains the service overview, procedure after replacement of part,
troubleshooting, circuit description, spare parts, and block diagrams.
The service of this unit is basically performed by the replacement of board.
Therefore, the schematic diagram, board layout and electrical parts list are not
contained.

.BTP2.6 x8: 0.45 ?0.02 N.m (4.5 ?0.2 kgf.cm)
.BTP3 x8: 0.60 ?0.02 N.m (6.1 ?0.2 kgf.cm)
.BSW2 x6: 0.18 ?0.02 N.m (1.8 ?0.2 kgf.cm)

1-3. Removing/Installing the Cabinet

The identical parts are used for the two side cabinets. Therefore, they can be attached to either the right or
left side of the camera block.
The side cabinets are indicated as the side cabinet (left) and side cabinet (right) in the illustration.
1. Align the notch of the base cabinet (A) with the hook (B) of the side cabinet (right) by rotating the
camera block.
2. Insert the pin through the notch (A) of the base cabinet, then remove the hook (B) of the side cabinet
(right) in the direction of the arrow C.

3. Align the notch of the base cabinet (D) with the hook (E) of the side cabinet (right) by rotating the
camera block.
4. Insert the pin through the notch (D) of the base cabinet, then remove the hook (E) of the side cabinet
(right) in the direction of the arrow C.

5. Remove the hook (F), then remove the side cabinet (right).
6. Remove the side cabinet (left) in the same procedure as steps 1 to 5.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

1. Remove the side cabinets. (Refer to Section 1-3-1.)
2. Rotate the camera block in the direction of the arrow.
3. Remove the four screws.
4. Remove the four hooks, then remove the camera cabinet (upper) and camera cabinet (lower).
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

1-4. Removing/Installing the Main Parts

n.When removing or replacing the CN-3766 board, perform “Procedure after Replacing the
Parts” in Section 2.
.When disconnecting/connecting the fine-wire coaxial cable, be sure to disconnect/connect at
the connector portion. When disconnecting/connecting at the lead wire portion, it may cause the
break of the fine-wire coaxial cable.
1. Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-3.)
2. Peel off the two tapes (A), then remove the ferrite core.

Replace the removed tape (A) with the new one. (Refer to Section 5.)
3. Disconnect the two fine-wire coaxial cables from the connectors (CN901 and CN904) on the CN-
3766 board.
4. Remove the two screws, then remove the CN-3766 board.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

.When removing or replacing the FCB assembly, perform “Procedure after Replacing the Parts” in
Section 2.
.When disconnecting/connecting the fine-wire coaxial cable, be sure to disconnect/connect at the con-
nector portion.
When disconnecting/connecting at the lead wire portion, it may cause the break of the
fine-wire coaxial cable.
1. Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-3.)
2. Remove the CN-3766 board. (Refer to Section 1-4-1.)
3. Remove the two screws (BSW2 x6), then remove the front cabinet.
4. Remove the four screws (PSW2 x6), then remove the FCB assembly.
5. Disconnect the fine-wire coaxial cable from the connector on the FCB assembly.
6. Remove the busteraid (0.5) from the FCB assembly.

Replace the removed busteraid (0.5) with the new one. (Refer to Section 5.)
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

The identical parts are used for the two center cabinets. Therefore, they can be attached to either the front
or rear side of the camera block.
1. Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-3.)
2. Remove the CN-3766 board. (Refer to Section 1-4-1.)
3. Remove the FCB assembly. (Refer to Section 1-4-2.)
4. Rotate the FCB holder in the direction of the arrow.
5. Remove the four screws, then remove the two center cabinets.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

When removing or replacing the AU-365 board, perform “Procedure after Replacing the Parts” in Section 2.
1. Remove the five screws (B2.6 x6).
2. Remove the three screws (B2.6 x6) and screw (BTP3 x8), then remove the bottom plate in the direc-
tion of the arrow.
3. Disconnect the flexible flat cable from the connectors (CN201) on the AU-365 board.
4. Remove the three screws (PSW2.6 x6), then lift up the AU-365 board.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

.When replacing the SY-437 board, perform “Procedure after Replacing the Parts” in Section 2.
.When removing the SY-437 board, check the startup and image output of the camera after it is assem-
bled. (Refer to Section 2-6-2.)
.When disconnecting/connecting the fine-wire coaxial cable, be sure to disconnect/connect at the con-
nector portion. When disconnecting/connecting at the lead wire portion, it may cause the break of the
fine-wire coaxial cable.
1. Remove the bottom plate. (Refer to steps 1 and 2 in Section 1-4-4.)
2. Peel off the tape (A), then disconnect the fine-wire coaxial cable from the connector (CN101) on the
SY-437 board.

Replace the removed tape (A) with the new one.
3. Peel off the cushion (ferrite) from the ferrite core.
n
Replace the removed cushion (ferrite) with the new one. (Refer to Section 5.)
4. Disconnect the flexible flat cable from the connector and harness (CN801 and CN1202) on the SY-
437 board.
5. Remove the three screws, then lift up the SY-437 board.
6. Disconnect the harness from the connector (CN1701) on the SY-437 board.

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

When removing or replacing the LED-530 board, perform “Procedure after Replacing the Parts” in Sec-
tion 2.
1. Remove the bottom plate. (Refer to steps 1 and 2 in Section 1-4-4.)
2. Disconnect the harness from the connector (CN9001) on the LED-530 board.
3. Remove the screw, then remove the LED-530 board.
4. Peel off the gasket from the LED-530 board.

Replace the removed gasket with the new one. (Refer to Section 5.)
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

When removing or replacing the SW-1654 board, perform “Procedure after Replacing the Parts” in Sec-
tion 2.
1. Remove the AU-365 board. (Refer to Section 1-4-4.)
2. Remove the SY-437 board. (Refer to Section 1-4-5.)
3. Remove the two screws, then remove the terminal reinforcing plate.
4. Remove the two screws, then remove the SW-1654 board.
5. Disconnect the harness from the connector (CN901) on the SW-1654 board.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
