To enjoy higher picture quality, an HDMI cable can be used instead of a video cord , if the TV has an HDMI jack.

When connecting the system to a TV and an STB (Set Top Box)

To watch a DVD, select the input on the TV that the system is connected to.
To use an STB, select the input on the TV that the STB is connected to, and then press FUNCTION on the system (or FUNCTION +/– on the remote)
repeatedly to select “TV/VIDEO.”

Example 2: Connection to a “BRAVIA” TV with digital audio output

To watch a DVD, select the input on the “BRAVIA” TV that the system is connected to.
To use an STB, select the input on the “BRAVIA” TV that the STB is connected to, and then press FUNCTION on the system (or FUNCTION +/– on the
remote) repeatedly to select “TV/VIDEO.”
Using a “BRAVIA” TV with digital audio output, you can enjoy TV and STB multi-channel broadcasts on the system.
Depending on your “BRAVIA” TV, STB multi-channel broadcasts may not output from the system. For details, refer to the operating instructions
supplied with the “BRAVIA” TV.
