Installation
A. Choose the location, keeping in mind the
following restrictions.
a. Install the TV on a wall that is both vertical
and flat.
b. Do not install the Wall Mount on curved
wall surfaces such as a pillar, or where the
corners or the sides of the TV protrude away
from the wall surface.
c. Do not install the TV over or under an air
conditioner.
d. The Wall Mount is not compatible with walls
that have metal studs.
B. For wood stud construction, use your stud finder
to find two studs. Follow the instructions that came
with the stud finder and mark the stud locations in
pencil.
C. For concrete walls, there is no need to locate and
mark the stud.
A. Clear a table or floor space for your television.
CAUTION! The screens of many flat panel televisions
are fragile. The space must be completely clear of
obstructions that could damage the television.
B. If necessary, remove the television from its base,
following the instructions in the TV’s operating
instructions.
CAUTION! When moving the television, take care
not to touch the screen.
CAUTION! Be sure that two or more persons carry the
TV when transporting, mounting, or dismounting it.
C. Lay your television face down on the space that
you’ve cleared.
STEP 1: Choose the location and mark the studs
STEP 2: Mark the screw locations on the wall.
D. Locate the “VESA” mount screw holes on the
back of the television. These will form a rectangle or
square that measures 200, 300, 400, 500 or 600 mm
(approximately 8, 12, 16, 20 or 24 inches) across
E. Locate the top pair of “VESA” mount screw holes.
Measure the distance from the center of one
screw hole to the top of the television. Write the
measurement in the space below.
LINE 1: Write down the distance from
the center of the top “VESA” mount
holes to the top of the television.
inches (or) mm
F. Measure the horizontal distance between centers
for the top two “VESA” mount holes. Circle the
measurement in the left column below. Write the
corresponding Adjustment Distance into the space
below.

H. Determine how high on the wall you want the
television to be.
I. For concrete walls, make a small pencil mark where
you want the Top Center of the television to go.
STEP 2 (continued)

J. For wood stud construction, make a small pencil
mark where you want the top-center of the television
to go. Because the hook of the wall bracket can
slide left and right, you have some flexibility.
K. Mark the top screw height. Measure down from
the Top Center Mark by the Top Screw Distance
(Line 3 in your calculation on the previous page)
and make another pencil mark on the wall.
L Use a carpenter’s level to draw a horizontal line
on the wall nine inches to the left and right of top
screw height pencil mark.
M. Remove the left and right caps of the wall
bracket (A).
N. For wood stud construction, mark where the
line crosses the center of your studs. Those are
your top screw marks. Align the top screw slots of
the wall bracket (A) with the top screw marks on
the wall. Mark the bottom screw locations directly
underneath the top screws.
O. For masonry walls, align the top screw slots of the
wall bracket (A) with the line on the wall. Mark any
place in the left and right screw slots for your top
and bottom screws.
Installation (CONTINUED)
STEP 3: Attach the wall bracket to the wall
STEP 3
A. Locate the screw location marks you made on
the wall.
B. For concrete walls, perform the following steps:
a. Attach the 1/2-inch masonry bit to your
electric drill (hammer drill recommended)
and drill holes two inches (50 mm) deep.
b. Set the concrete anchors (Q) into the holes.
C. For wood stud construction, attach the 1/8-inch
wood bit to your electric drill and drill holes two
inches (50 mm) deep.
D. For all walls, attach the #2 Phillips head driver bit
to your electric drill.
E. Align the wall bracket with the screw holes.
F Insert the lag bolts (P) through the holes in the
wall bracket and into the wall.
G. Use your electric drill to screw in the lag bolts to
firmly attach the wall bracket to the wall. For wood
stud construction, you will be screwing the lag
bolts into the studs. For concrete walls, you will be
screwing the lag bolts into the anchors. Be careful
not to over-tighten the lag bolts.
H. Replace the left and right caps on the wall bracket.

B. The TV harness (B) includes a pair of mounting
bars connected by a cable. The mounting bars
have holes indicated at 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600
mm spacing. Line up the bars with the “VESA” mount
screw holes that match.
C. Your Wall Mount is supplied with several sets of
machine screws (E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L and M). These
cover in a range of diameters and lengths. Consult
your TV's operating instructions to find screws of the
right size and depth to fit your television. Pair these
screws with the supplied washers of the appropriate
size. (Screws E, F and G use washers N. Screws H, I, J,
K, L and M use washers O.)
D. With the numbers on the mounting bars facing
you, use a Phillips screwdriver to attach the TV
harness to the television.
CAUTION! Do NOT use a power drill to attach the
mounting bars to the television.
CAUTION! If the screws are too loose, the TV may
fall and cause injury or property damage. If they
are over-tightened, they may break and cause
injury or property damage.

STEP 5: Attach spacers or self-adhesive pads
A. If you want the television to sit parallel to the wall,
install the spacers (C) with the supplied machine
screws. Your Wall Mount is supplied with several sets
of machine screws (parts E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L and M).
These cover in a range of diameters and lengths.
Consult your TV's operating instructions to find screws
of the right size and depth to fit your television.
Pair these screws with the supplied washers of the
appropriate size. (Screws E, F and G use washers N.
Screws H, I, J, K, L and M use washers O.)

CAUTION! Excessively long
screws can damage the
television housing, causing injury
or property damage. Check your
TV owner's manual for proper
screw depth.

STEP 4: Attach TV harness to television
A. Locate the top pair of “VESA” mount screw holes
on the back of the television.

STEP 6: Hang television on wall bracket
A. The spacers feature kickstands that have two
positions: extended away from the back of the
television and folded flat close to the television.
Confirm that both kickstands are folded flat close to
the television.
B. Lift the television to hang it on the wall bracket.
CAUTION! Be sure that two or more persons carry the
TV when transporting, mounting, or dismounting it.
C. Carefully seat the television onto the wall bracket,
making sure that the TV harness cable snaps into
the hook of the wall bracket.
D. When the cable snaps into the hook, you will hear
a distinct metallic “click.” It is now safe to let go of
the television.
E. Use the carpenter's level to confirm that the
television is level. If necessary, adjust the television's
position.

spacers to the television.
CAUTION! If the screws are over-tightened, they
may break and cause injury or property damage.
CAUTION! Excessively long screws can damage
the television housing, causing injury or property
damage. Check your TV owner's manual for proper
screw depth.
C. If you want the television to tilt down slightly, install
the self-adhesive pads (D). Pull back the protective
paper and attach the pads to the back of the
television where it will contact the wall.
NOTE: Some televisions with
rear-facing input/output
jacks may require 90-degree
connectors for the cables to
fit behind the television.
