はじめに
本製品は、オートチェンジャー BW‑J601 用のラックマウ
ントキットです。
ご注意
オートチェンジャー本体の質量は約 30 kg です。
必ず 2 人以上で作業してください。腰を痛めたり、落下し
てけがの原因または機器の損傷につながる可能性がありま
す。
必ずオートチェンジャーの電源を切り、ケーブル類をすべて
取りはずしてから、作業を行ってください。
必要な工具とネジ類
あらかじめ以下の工具とネジ類を準備してください。
工具
･ プラスドライバー
･ マイナスドライバー
･ 10/32 インチレンチ
ネジ類
本ラックマウントキットには、ラックに取り付けるためのネ
ジ類が付属されていません。お客様でご用意ください。
･ スライドレールブラケットをラックのフレームに止めるネ
ジ：8 本
･ トレイの前面をラックのフレームに止めるネジ：2 本
･ 上記のネジに合うナット：10 個＊
＊ラックにはめ込まれている場合やネジタップがあるフレー
ムをお使いの場合は不要です。ラックに付属されている場
合は、そちらのナットをお使いください。
設置上のご注意
オートチェンジャー本体をラックに取り付ける前に、以下の
点に注意してください。
･ 本ラックマウントキットの取り付け可能なラックの奥行き
は、900 mm です。それ以外のタイプのラックには取り
付けできません。
･ スライドレールブラケットの取り付け寸法は、486 ± 2
mm（幅）× 650 〜 660 mm（奥行き）です。前後左右
のフレームの間隔を確認し、スライドレールブラケットが
取り付けできるか確認してください。
･ ラックのフレームが規定値どおりか確認してください。
･ オートチェンジャー本体の使用環境を確認し、その範囲を
保てる場所に設置することをおすすめします。
･ オートチェンジャー本体後面のファン、前面のメディア挿
入口付近に、ケーブルやその他の障害物がないように設置
してください。
･ オートチェンジャー本体をラックに取り付けたときに、
ラックの重量バランスが崩れて転倒することを防ぐため、
ラックに転倒防止金具などを取り付けることをおすすめし
ます。
･ ラック内のすべての機器に電源供給回路が適合することを
確認してください。
･ 使用するコンセントや電源ケーブルが正しくアースされて
いることを確認してください。
･ ラックマウントキットを設置しているときに、静電気が放
電しないように作業環境を整えてください。作業中は、静
電防止マットやアースされた静電防止リストバンドを使用
してください。
同梱品を確認する
本ラックマウントキットは、以下のもので構成されていま
す。
･ トレイ（1）

本製品を取り付ける
はじめにトレイからレールを分離して、スライドレールブラ
ケットを取りはずします。
そのあとお客様で用意したネジ類を使って、ラックのフレー
ムにスライドレールブラケットとレールガイド、トレイを取
り付け、オートチェンジャーを取り付けます。
取り付けの準備をする
1 インナーレールとアウターレールを分離する。
インナーレールはトレイに、アウターレールはレール
ガイドに取り付けられています。
1アウターレールを図の位置までスライドさせる。
レバーの位置でいったん止まります。
2レバーを矢印の向きにスライドさせ、アウターレー
ルを引き出す。
3同様にして、もう一方のレールもインナーレールと
アウターレールに分離する。
2 スライドレールブラケットを取りはずす。
スライドレールブラケットは、4 箇所に取り付けられ
ています。
スライドレールブラケットを取り付ける
スライドレールブラケットを取り付ける位置に、フェルトペ
ンなどで印を付けておくことをおすすめします。
ご注意
4 個のスライドレールブラケットの高さを合わせないで本機
を取り付けると、誤動作の原因となりますのでご注意くださ
い。
1 フレームの 1U の範囲の角穴にナットをはめる。
メモ
ラックにナットがはめ込まれている場合や、フレーム
にネジタップが付いている場合は、この作業は不要で
す。
以下のようにして、前側と後側のフレームにそれぞれ
ナットをはめます。
1前側のフレームにナットをはめる。
左右の角穴には外側からナットを 2 個はめ、正面の
角穴には内側からナットを 1 個はめます。
2後側のフレームにナットをはめる。
左右の角穴に、外側からナットを 2 個ずつはめます。
2 スライドレールブラケットを前側と後側のフレームに
取り付ける。
次の図のように、スライドレールブラケットの一番上
と一番下の長穴を使って、ゆがみがないようにしっか
りとお客様で用意したネジで固定します。

取りはずしたネジは「レールガイドを取り付ける」
（3 ページ）で使用します。

左右の角穴には外側からはめる。
正面の角穴には内側からはめる。

前側は最も前寄りに取り付くように、後側は最も後寄
りに取り付くように、長穴で調整してください。
ご注意
上記のようにスライドレールブラケットを取り付けないと、
レールガイドを取り付けるときに、ネジ頭がぶつかってしま
うことがあります。
レールガイドを取り付ける
1 レールガイドの六角ナットをゆるめ（1）、後側が最も
後寄りに取り付くように調整して（2）、仮止めする。
ここでは、仮止めしておき、後で固定します。六角
ナットは、各レール 4 箇所に付いています。
2 「取り付けの準備をする」（2 ページ）の手順 2 で、スラ
イドレールブラケットを取りはずしたときのネジを
使って、前側のレールガイドを仮止めする。
一番上と一番下の長穴を使って、止めてください。こ
こでは、仮止めしておき、後で固定します。
3 同様にして、後側のレールガイドを仮止めする。
4 左右のレールが平行に取り付けられていること、レー
ルガイドの外側の間隔が目安として 447 mm になって
いることを確認し、手順 2、3 で仮止めしたネジを固定
する。
上から見たところ
5 レールの位置を調整し、手順 1 で仮止めしていた六角
ナットを固定する。
トレイを取り付ける
レールガイドのアウターレールに、トレイのインナーレール
を合わせ、ゆっくりスライドさせながら、奥まではめ込む。
数回レールを出し入れし、トレイが奥まではめ込まれている
ことを確認してください。
ご注意
トレイがしっかりと奥まではめ込まれていないと、オート
チェンジャーを設置したときに、落下する恐れがあります。

オートチェンジャーを取り付ける
オートチェンジャーをラックに入れて固定します。
1 オートチェンジャーの底面に取り付けられているゴム
足を取りはずす。
2 トレイを引き出し、オートチェンジャーを載せて、位
置を決める。
ご注意
オートチェンジャーの質量は約 30 kg あります。
必ず 2 人以上で持ち上げてください。腰を痛めたり、
落下してけがの原因または機器の損傷につながる可能
性があります。
メモ
オートチェンジャーのフロントパネルとトレイの前面
を合わせると、オートチェンジャーとトレイのネジ穴
の位置が合い、取り付けしやすくなります。（オート
チェンジャーを多少前に出して取り付けすることもで
きます。）
3 付属のネジを使って、底面からオートチェンジャーを
固定する。
図のように、6 箇所を固定してください。
ご注意
作業するときは、トレイの脇（正面または背面）から
行ってください。トレイの下に入って作業すると、頭
をぶつけたり、万一トレイが落下したときにけがをす
る恐れがあります。
4 トレイを奥まで入れ、お客様で用意したネジを使って、
フレームに固定する。

ご注意

1 オートチェンジャー本体の電源を切る。
2 ケーブル類をすべて取りはずす。
3 取り付けたときと逆の手順で取りはずす。
トレイとオートチェンジャーの前面を合わせる。

Introduction
This product is a rack mount kit for the Auto Changer BW-
J601.
Caution
The Auto Changer is heavy, weighing approximately 65
lbs. (30 kg).
You will need at least two people to safely move the Auto
Changer. Otherwise you may have a back injury or drop
the Auto changer and damage to it.
Make sure to turn off the Auto Changer and disconnect all
cables before the installation.
Required Tools
You will need the following tools, screws, and nuts to
perform this installation.
Tools
• Phillips screwdriver
• Standard screwdriver
• 10/32 inch wrench
Screws and Nuts
You will also need some screws and nuts (sold separately)
to install the Auto Changer to the rack.
• Eight screws to place the slide rail brackets to the rack.
• Two screws to place the front of the tray to the rack.
• Ten nuts that match the screws above.*
* You will not need the nuts ifthe rack comes with the nuts
or the holes of the frames have been tapped. Use the nuts
if the rack comes with the nuts.
Installation Precautions
Note the following points before the installation.
• The mounting kit fits a rack 900 mm in depth. You
cannot use any other sized rack.
• The slid rail brackets require between 484 and 488 mm
in width and 600 and 650 mm in depth to assemble to the
rack. Ensure that the rack has enough space to place the
brackets.
• Ensure that the rack frames are assembled with the
specified value as referred to above.
• Ensure you have adequate ventilation and environmental
controls to support your Auto Changer.
• Ensure that nothing obstructs the filter at the rear panel
and the mail slot at the front panel of the Auto Changer.
• The rackmust beboltedsecurely tothe floor or equipped
with a sturdy and extendable anti-tip leg. You must
prevent the cabinet from tipping forward when one or
more Auto Changers and other devices are fully
extended out the front of the rack.
• Ensure that you have adequate power to supply all the
devices installed in the rack.
• Ensure that you earth the power outlets and power cables
you are using.
• To avoid producing a static during the installation, keep
the working environment properly. We recommend
using an antistatic mat and a wristband.
Unpacking
The rack mount kit comes with the following parts:
• Tray (1)
• L-shaped slide rail bracket (4) with screws (8)
• Rail guide (4)
• Rail (2)
• Screws to place the Auto Changer on the tray (6)
• Install Manual (this document) (1)

Installing the Rack Mount
Kit
Separate the rails from the tray, and remove the slide rail
brackets. Mount the Auto Changer after placing the slide
rail brackets, the rail guides, and the tray to the rack using
the screws you provided.
Preparation
1 Divide the rail into the inner and outer rail.
The inner rail places to the tray and the outer rail
places to the guide.
1Slide the outer rail to the position show in the
figure.
Stop at the lever position.
2Slide the lever in the direction of the arrow and pull
out the outer rail.
3Divide the other rail into the inner and outer rail in
the same way.
2 Remove the slide rail brackets.
The slide rail brackets are placed to the each rail by
the four screws.
Assemble the Slide Rail Brackets
Marking the position where you will place the brackets
with a felt pen is recommended.
Caution
Note that installing the Auto Changer without matching
the height of the four slide rail brackets may cause an
operation failure.
1 Feed the nuts you provided, and fasten them to the
square holes of the frame within 1 U range.
Note
You can skip these steps if the rack comes with the
nuts or the holes of the frames have been tapped.
Feed and fasten nuts to the front and the rear of the
racks as shown in the following figure:
1To the left and right side square holes of the front
frame, feed the two nuts each from the out side
track of the frames, then fasten. To the front side
square holes, feed the one nut each from the inside
track of the frames, then fasten.
2To the left and right side square holes of the rear
frame, feed the two nuts each from the out side
track of the frames, then fasten.
2 Place the slide rail brackets to the front and rear of the
rack.
Use the upper and lower long holes to place the
brackets as shown in the figure next page and tighten
the screws you provided while ensuring the brackets
are straight.
Align the holes so as the front brackets are placed as
far forward as possible and the rear brackets are
placed as far back as possible.

Remove the eight screws in total from the
brackets and set the screws aside touse them
to fasten the rail guides in the later step.

Feed the nuts through the out
side track of the frames to the
left and right side square holes.
Feed the nuts through the inside track of
the frames to the front side square holes.

Caution
If you do not place the brackets as shown above, the screw
heads may obstruct to install the rail guide.
Assemble the Rail Guides
1 Loosen the provided hexagonal nuts of the each rail
guide (1), align the rail guides so as they are as far
back as possible (2), and then tighten the nuts
temporary.
Tighten the nuts temporary at this step as you will
fasten them later. The each rail includes the four
hexagonal nuts.
2 Using two of the provided screws you set aside from
the slide rail brackets in the previous step, tighten the
right front rail guide temporary to the rack. Then
tighten the left front rail guide in the same way.
Using theupper and lower longhole to tighten the rail
guide temporary as you will fasten them later.
3 Using two of the provided screws, fasten the right rear
rail guide temporary to the rack. Then fasten the left
rear rail guide in the same way.
4 Ensure that you assembled the left and right rail
guides parallel to each other and the distance between
each outer side of the guides keep a guideline
measurement as 447mm. Then you fasten eight of the
provided screws you temporary fastened in the step 2
and 3.

5 Adjust the position of the rails and fasten eight of the
provided hexagonal nuts you temporary fastened in
the step 1.
Slide the Tray
Gripping the tray from the front, insert and slide the tray
along the inside of the rails until the front flanges of the
tray stop the tray.
Slide the tray in and out several times to check for smooth
operation.
Caution
If you do not slide the tray back until the front flanges of
the tray stop the tray, the Auto Changer may fall out of the
rack when you install it.

Mount the Auto Changer
Place the Auto Changer on the tray to mount to the rack.
1 Remove four of the rubber legs at the bottom of the
Auto Changer.
2 Pull out the tray, place the Auto Changer on the tray,
and adjust the mounting position.
Caution
The Auto Changer is heavy, weighing approximately
65 lbs. (30 kg).
Always ensure that at least two people lift the Auto
Changer. Otherwise you may have a back injury or
drop the Auto changer and damage to it.
Note
It is easier to mount the Auto Changer if you position
the front panel of the Auto Changer at the front of the
tray in order to align the screw holes of the Auto
Changer and the tray. (You can also mount the Auto
Changer so as it is sticking out of the tray a little.)
3 Using six of the provided screws, fasten the Auto
Changer to the bottom of the tray as shown in the
figure below.
Caution
Do not perform these mounting steps from beneath
the tray, there is a danger of banging your head or
sustaining an injury if the tray falls on you. Perform
these steps from the front or the rear of the tray.
4 Slide the tray back until the front flanges on the tray
stop the tray.
Using two of the screws you provided to fasten the
front of the tray to the rack.
Dismount the Auto Changer from the
Rack
Caution
The Auto Changer is heavy, weighing approximately 65
lbs. (30 kg).
Always ensure that at least two people lift the Auto
Changer. Otherwise you may have a back injury or drop
the Auto changer and damage to it.
1 Turn off the Auto Changer.
2 Disconnect all cables.
3 Dismount the Auto Changer from the rack by
following the steps 1 to 4 above reversely.
Adjust the position for the front of the Auto
Changer to fit the front of the tray.
If you place the Auto
Changer as it is sticking
out of the tray, using the
adjacent screw holes.
