Whenyour TV is connectedto thereceiveras
shownbelow, the TV input modewill change
to video input wheneveryou turn on the
receiver.When you connectthereceiveras
shown below, input modeof thereceiver
changesto VIDEO 1or DVD/LD whenever
youplay your VCR or DVD.
Thefollowing cotmectionswill alsochangethe
input modeof thereceiverto TV wheneveryou
opesateyour TV.

If your CD changer’sCQ~A~~ MODE
selectorcanbesetto CD 1,CD 2, or CD 3,
be sure fo set the command mocle to “CD 1”
andconnectthe changerto theCD jacks on
thereceiver.
However, if you havea SonyCD changer
with VIDEO OUT jacks, setthecommand
modeto “CD 2” andconnectthe changerto
the VIDEO 2jacks on thereceiver.
If you havea S-LINK CONTROL S-
compatibleSonyTV, satellitetuner,monitor,
DVD player or VCR, useanaudio/videol

monauralmini-plug cord (supplied)to connect
theCTRL S(STATUS) IN (for TV, satellite

distancefrom the surroundleft andright speakers.If
thereis nospacebehindthelistening position, setthe
speakerabovethelistening position by placing it on a
standor hangingit from theceiling. To prevent
speakerdamageor injury in casethespeakerfalls,
makesurethatit is properly fixed in place.
Do not placethecenterspeakerfarther awayfrom the
listeningposition thanthefront speakers.
The setting is entered automatically.
