Water and Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used near
water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.

The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or
other appliances that produce heat.

Ventilation
Do not block areas of ventilation opening. Failure to do could result in re. Always
install according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus for
safety.
Power Cord and Plug
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, conve-
nience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two poles;
a grounding-type plug has two poles and a third grounding terminal. The third prong
is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet, refer to an
electrician for replacement.
Power Supply
The apparatus should be connected to the power supply only of the type as marked on
the apparatus or described in the manual. Failure to do could result in damage to the
product and possibly the user. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
Fuse
To prevent the risk of re and damaging the unit, please use only of the recommended
fuse type as described in the manual. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the unit
turned off and disconnected from the AC outlet.
Electrical Connection
Improper electrical wiring may invalidate the product warranty.
Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzol or alcohol.

1. INTRODUCTION
WARNING: FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERY BEFORE FIRST USE FOR MAXI-
MUM BATTERY LIFE
1. Make sure all items.
2. READ SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT.
3. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE COMPLETELY CHARGED THE BATTERY.
4. Study this setup diagram.
5. Place BLACKPORT-80TBRW in an appropriate position for operation.
6. Make sure all input devices such as microphones, CD or SD players, USB players,
MP3 players are turned off and volume settings are set at “zero”.
7. Connect all devices as shown in “Connection examples” paragraph.
8. Switch everything on in the following order:
• Audio input sources (i.e. microphones, instruments, CD players, USB or SD
players, MP3 players)
• Last, the BLACKPORT-80TBRW.
9. When turning off, always reverse this operation by:
• Turning off the BLACKPORT-80TBRW.
• Last, any input devices
1.1. Product Overview
Dedicated to all those who need maximum portability and are constantly “on the road”,
the BLACKPORT-80TBRW is a battery-powered 80W max. PA system, featuring built-
in 4-channel mixer, VHF wireless microphone, reverb, Bluetooth ™ and MP3 player
with SD-Card and USB slots. Battery life is 6 hours at full volume and with fully charged
batteries. Its lightweight and rugged construction combined with the extremely useful
trolley, make it an ideal tool in all “on the y” situations such as parties, one-man band
gigs and small PA needs, without risks of damage but with good performance in terms
of power and audio quality.

2.1. Front Panel

(1) MIC 1 - Combo Balanced Input with Level and Reverb Control
This input can either take a 1/4” jack balanced or a XLR balanced cable.
(2) MIC 2 - Instrument/Microphone Input with Level and Reverb Control
This mono input accepts a 1/4” jack and sources such as a microphone or other musi-
cal instrument with mic or line-level signal.
(3) LINE IN - Stereo Line Input with Level Control
This channel features a stereo RCA plug pair, a mini-jack stereo and a switch. Both
plugs can be used to connect a CD, MP3, or other line-level audio source. The button
allows the user to switch between the mini-jack input and the internal MP3 media
player.
NOTE: This Input stage can manage both RCA line input and mini-jack/
MP3-player at the same time. The only limit is that they share the same level
control. Pay attention to proper control levels in case you need to combine
these inputs.
(4) MASTER
This section, in addition to the master volume of the system, includes a 2-band equaliz-
er that allows you to adjust the frequency response of the MAIN bus signal.

(5) VHF WIRELESS SYSTEM
The BLACKPORT-80BTRW comes with a VHF wireless microphone. It features a
cardioid dynamic capsule developed for both singing and speech. The wireless system
assures good reception within 30m open-eld (without direct obstacles). For further
details about its operation, please refer to paragraph “3. VHF WIRELESS MICRO-
PHONE” on page 9.
(6) DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER
This section controls all functions related to the multi-player and hosts the Bluetooth™
receiver as well as the USB and SD-Card slots. For further information about how to
use it, see “4. DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER” on page 9.
2.2. Rear Panel
(7) Battery level indicator
While the unit is powered ON, the “3”, “2”, “1”
and “LOW PROTECT” LEDs indicate the pow-
er left in the battery. Battery life varies accord-
ing to volume and usage.
Before proceeding with battery
charging, please read the instructions con-
tained in paragraph “6. RECHARGEABLE
BATTERY” on page 11.
(8) Power Adapter (IEC)
Insert the included power cable here to charge
the unit. Note that the system can run off the
power adapter while it simultaneously charges
the battery. The “CHARGE” LED illuminates
when the battery is charging.
(9) Power Switch:
Turns this apparatus ON/OFF.
(10) Antenna:
It receives the RF signal from the transmitter.

3. VHF WIRELESS MICROPHONE
1. GRILL:
It protects the microphone capsule. Do not remove this cap to pre-
vent damage to internal components.
2. LED:
This LED lights up briey when you turn on the microphone. Under
normal operating conditions, it ashes when batteries charge level
is low and they must be replaced.
3. ON/OFF SWITCH:
It has 2 positions: when it’s all down, transmitter is OFF. When it’s
all up (ON), the transmitter is working and the audio is active.
4 BATTERY SLOT:
Batteries are housed inside the transmitter. Use 2x 1.5V AA type
batteries (not included), paying attention to their polarity.
4. DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER
1. USB Type-A plug: lets you to read USB drives in MS-DOS®format.
2. LCD display: It shows you current track number, time code and other information.
3. SD-Card slot: allows you to read SD-Cards in MS-DOS®format.
4. Remote Control sensor: allows the digital media player to be controlled by the
supplied remote controller.
5. MODE button: by pressing it repeatedly, you switch among Bluetooth™, USB/SD
and OFF (player and display off).
6. Button (Play / Pause): plays audio of the selected device.
7. Button (Repeat): by pressing repeatedly, it allows you to choose between
one repetition of current track (the display shows ONE) and the repetition of all
tracks (the display shows ALL). These options are valid only when using USB
drives and SD-Cards.
8. Button (Rewind): Press to go back one track; holding down for two sec-
onds allows you to rewind to the beginning of current track.
9. Button (Fast Forward): Press to move to next track; holding down for

two seconds lets you skip to the end of current track.
4.1. Using the player with USB drives and SD-Cards
When you insert a USB drive into the slot, the
player reads the content automatically and plays
the rst track in ascending order. The display
shows on the upper-left corner “USB”, indicating
that you are playing an audio le from the con-
nected USB device. In the case of SD-Card, the
player displays the SD. During execution, the
display shows current track plying time.
NOTE: In the case of use of a USB drive
and an SD-Card simultaneously, the
reader will play the tracks on both devic-
es, organizing them in ascending order.
4.2.Using Bluetooth™
To play music from your Bluetooth™ device you must rst pair it.
4.3.1. Pairing
Press MODE key until the “BLUE” does not appear on the display. At this point turn on
the Bluetooth™ mode on your smartphone or tablet. A device called “Bluetooth” will
be shown among the various available devices. Select it and start the pairing process.
Once nished, your playlist will be directly played on your BLACKPORT-80BTRW.
NOTE: The BLACKPORT-80BTRW media player control also acts on your
Bluetooth™ device; so that, for example, by pressing the button , you
play / pause the song; pressing , you skip to the next track, and so
on. The button (Repeat), however, are deliberately disabled and can be
managed only by the Bluetooth™ device.
5. REMOTE CONTROL
The MP3 player of the BLACKPORT-80BTRW comes with a remote control to operate
within a radius of about 5 m (without obstacles) all main functions.

Turns the MP3 player on/off.
Stops the song.
It mutes playback. When active, the song contin-
ues to play.
It allows you to enter in the individual menus (blue-
tooth, USB/SD and OFF.
By repeatedly pressing, it switches from normal
play mode, current track loop (ONE), and all tracks
loop (ALL).
By repeatedly pressing, it switches among different
equalization curves.
They skip to the next or previous song.
Play or pause the rst song in the list or the last
played track. If pressed again, it resumes playback
from the same point.
Increase or decrease the volume. Not available on
this model.
0 - 9 They recall the song corresponding to the same
position in the list.
6. RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
The BLACKPORT-80BTRW works with both AC or battery power. It features a 12V -
7AH lead rechargeable battery housed inside the unit and accessible through the door
on right side of the unit.
Note: If you power the unit with the external cable for an extended period,
you should remove the battery for longer life.

6.1. Battery Replacement
To remove or replace the battery, follow the instructions below:
• Turn off the BLACKPORT-80BTRW and unplug the main cable.
• Unscrew the 6 screws and open the door.
• Pull out the battery and disconnect the two wires paying attention to colors (red for
positive, black for negative).
• Replace the battery with a similar both in size and electrical characteristics (12V -
7AH).

• Close the cover.
• Contact the service center SOUNDSATION in the case of problems.
6.2.Charging the Battery
The battery, when fully charged has a duration of more than 6 hours of continuous use
at maximum volume. In ordinary operating conditions, it can even reach 8-9 hours of
use without any problem.
The full charge cycle lasts about 8 hours. For the rst charge cycle, however, it would
be better that it lasted more than 12 hours. This considerably lengthens battery life.
• Connect the BLACKPORT-80BTRW to a power outlet through the supplied power
cord. It is not necessary to turn on the unit.
• The yellow LED named “CHARGE” lights up.
• After a charging time of about 8 hours for a full charge, you can disconnect the
power cable. When you switch on the device, you can check the state of the
charge (even during charging process) basing on how many of the three green
LEDs are on. When all 3 green LEDs are off and the “LOW PROTECT” red LED is
light up, you need to re-charge the battery as soon as possible.

NOTE: In case of use of the BLACKPORT-80BTRW connected to the mains
(POWER switch 9 is ON), even the 3 green LEDs will lights and the battery
will be automatically recharged. Please note that in this condition the bat-
tery level indicator always shows full charge, even though the battery is not
completely charged.
6.3.Battery safety and disposal instructions
Please follow the instructions below for safe handling of and proper disposal of us-
er-serviceable batteries.
• Do charge rechargeable batteries with the instructions and correct charging equip-
ment supplied with your SOUNDSATION product.
• Do store batteries in a cool, dry place at normal room temperature. Remove batter-
ies from devices that will be stored unused for extended periods.
• Do dispose of batteries according to the local laws and regulations of your region.
Some batteries may be recycled, and may be accepted for disposal at your local
recycling center.
• Do contact SOUNDSATION Customer Support if you have questions about the
proper handling of batteries. Batteries may present a risk of re, explosion, or
chemical burn if mistreated.
• Do not disassemble, puncture, modify, drop, throw, or cause other unnecessary
shocks to batteries.
• Do not dispose of batteries in a re or trash incinerator, or leave batteries in hot
places such as an automobile under direct sunlight.
• Do not store batteries near an oven, stove, or another heat source.
• Do not connect batteries directly to an electrical source, such as a building outlet
or automobile power-point.
• Do not place batteries into a microwave oven, or into any other high-pressure
container.
• Do not immerse batteries in water or otherwise get them wet.
• Do not short circuit batteries; for example, do not carry loose batteries in a pocket
or purse with other metal objects, which may inadvertently cause a battery to short
circuit.
• Do not use batteries, or charge rechargeable batteries, that appear to be leaking,
discolored, rusty, deformed, emit an odor or are otherwise abnormal.
• Do not touch leaking batteries directly; wear protective material to remove the
batteries and dispose of them properly immediately.
• Do not reverse the polarity (positive and negative terminals) of batteries.
• Do not continue to charge batteries beyond the specied time.
• Do not give batteries to young children, or store batteries where children may
access them.
• Do not put batteries in the mouth. If swallowed, contact a physician or local poison
control center immediately.

7. CONNECTION EXAMPLES
Important: with all large speakers, an initial “break-in” period is needed to perform at
optimal levels. To properly “break-in” your system, play an audio source at medium
volume for a few minutes.

8. TROUBLESHOOTING
Use this troubleshooting guide if sound is distorted at high volumes.
Input is clipping: Try lowering the input gain or the volume control on your
sound source or music instrument.

Output is clipping: Lower the main volume level.
There is too much
bass:
Try adjusting the tone or EQ control on your sound
source to lower bass level. This will allow you to play the
music louder before clipping (distortion) occurs.
The link cable: is being plugged into the instrument or MIC input instead
of the RCA line input.

10. WARRANTY AND SERVICE
All SOUNDSATION products feature a limited two-year warranty. This two-year warranty is specif-
ic to the date of purchase as shown on your purchase receipt.
The following cases/components are not covered from the above warranty:
• Any accessories supplied with the product
• Improper use
• Fault due to wear and tear
• Any modication of the product effected by the user or a third party
SOUNDSATION shall satisfy the warranty obligations by remedying any material or manufacturing
faults free of charge at SOUNDSATION’s discretion either by repair or by exchanging individual
parts or the entire appliance. Any defective parts removed from a product during the course of a
warranty claim shall become the property of SOUNDSATION.
While under warranty period, defective products may be returned to your local SOUNDSATION
dealer together with original proof of purchase. To avoid any damages in transit, please use the
original packaging if available. Alternatively you can send the product to SOUNDSATION SER-
VICE CENTER – Via Enzo Ferrari , 10 – 62017 Porto Recanati - Italy . In order to send a product
to service center you need an RMA number. Shipping charges have to be covered by the owner of
the product.

12. INTRODUZIONE
ATTENZIONE: CARICARE COMPLETAMENTE LA BATTERIA AL PRIMO
UTILIZZO PER AUMENTARNE LA DURATA
1. Vericare tutti gli elementi.
2. LEGGERE LE ISTRUZIONI DI SICUREZZA PRIMA DI UTILIZZARE IL PRODOT-
TO.
3. ASSICURARSI DI AVER CARICATO COMPLETAMENTE LA BATTERIA.
4. Studiare lo schema di collegamento.
5. Collocare il prodotto in posizione adeguata per l’utilizzo.
6. Assicurarsi che tutti i dispositivi di ingresso quali microfoni, lettori CD o SD, lettori
USB o MP3 siano spenti e le impostazioni di volume siano ssate a “zero”.
7. Collegare tutti i dispositivi come indicato nel paragrafo “Esempi di connessione”.
8. Accendere tutto nel seguente ordine:
• Sorgenti audio di ingresso (microfoni, strumenti, lettori CD, USB o SD, lettori
MP3);
• In ultimo il BLACKPORT-80BTRW.
9. Al momento dello spegnimento, invertire sempre questa operazione:
• Spegnere il BLACKPORT-80BTR;
• Quindi tutti i dispositivi di ingresso.
12.1. Breve Descrizione
Dedicato a tutti coloro i quali hanno bisogno della massima portabilità e sono costan-
temente “on the road”, il BLACKPORT-80TBRW è un sistema PA a batteria da 80W
con mixer 4 canali, radiomicrofono VHF, reverbero, Bluetooth™ e lettore MP3 con slot
SD-Card e USB. Le batterie hanno una autonomia di 6 ore (a volume massimo e con
batterie completamente cariche). La costruzione robusta con proli in alluminio, il trol-
ley ed il peso contenuto (17 kg, batterie incluse) ne fanno uno strumento ideale in tutte
quelle situazioni “al volo” quali feste, spettacoli da one-man band o piccole esigenze
di PA senza rischi di danneggiamenti e con buone performance in termini di potenza e
qualità audio.
