Download the Sphere Alarm app to your iOS or Android phone or tablet
from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Point your mobile device’s
camera at the corresponding QR code pictured on the previous page
(p. 4). Otherwise, find the app by searching for “Sphere Alarm System.”

The Sphere Alarm app allows you to control your entire
Sphere Alarm system from your smartphone. You can arm
and disarm the system, share access, and add more sensors
to your system, quickly and conveniently.

Getting the Base Unit
Up and Running
The Base Unit runs the Sphere Alarm System. It links
wirelessly to each of the system’s components and relays
alerts to one or more smartphones no matter where
they’re being carried.

Getting the Base Unit Up and Running
Instructions
Plug the Base Unit into power, remove the battery cover and flip
the main power switch to ON. The Network Configuration Indicator
atop the Base Unit will flash and after approximately 45 seconds a
beep should sound indicating the device is being activated.
Before you open the app, make sure the phone is connected to the
Internet through the same Wi-Fi network you’ll be using for the
Sphere Alarm System.
Put your Base Unit close to your Wi-Fi router. It shouldn’t be
placed on the floor. The Sphere Alarm System requires a 2.4 GHz
Wi-Fi network.
The next section, Getting Started with the Sphere App (pg. 11), will
show you how to easily pair your Base Unit to the Sphere Alarm app.

The Sphere Alarm app allows you to control the entire Sphere
Alarm System from your smartphone. You can arm and disarm
the system, share access, and add more sensors to your system,
quickly and conveniently.

Getting Started with the Sphere App
• Use the App to Install the Base Unit
Since the entire Sphere Alarm System revolves around the
Base Unit and the Base Unit is set up and controlled from the Sphere
Alarm app, you must have the app running on your mobile screen
(smartphone or tablet) to proceed with the installation. Upon loading
the app, a Welcome to Sphere Alarm! screen will appear as follows:

up” to reveal the
device ID of your

started!” button.

• The app will automatically scan for Base Units and display
their names. Choose one to connect. After successfully
connecting the Base Unit, rename the device and set up a
password for future configuration purposes.

with something easy for you
to identify with such as “Smith
Home Alarm.”
Create and enter a four-digit
passcode for the entire system
that you’ll remember. (This pass-
code will also be used with your
Wireless Keypad.)

• Select the Wi-Fi network you want the Base Unit to connect
with and input the network password to finish the setup.
(Alternatively, you can connect the Base Unit to your router
using an Ethernet cable.)

Important: all the components and accessories in this kit are already
paired to the Base Unit. (Accessories purchased later will have to be
paired to the Base Unit.)
Choose your wired (LAN) or
wireless network.
If wireless, enter the network’s
password twice.

Once the Base Unit has been
added to your Sphere Alarm
app, you will be taken to the
main screen. To continue with
the Account Creation, tap the
prole icon in the upper left.
You’ll be taken to the User
Setting page. Tap “More
security settings.”
Tap “Create an account.”

We strongly suggest creating an account. This will enable you
to reset your password and sign in when you’re logged out.

A default user ID number
(associated with your Base Unit)
will automatically ll the rst eld.
Tap the rst eld and enter a new
name for your account.
Use a unique and more personal
account name. In this example
we are using “myaccount.” Then
create a password and enter it
twice. Tap the Bind button.
Once the account has been
created, you will be given the
option to verify your email or
phone number. Start by tapping
“Verify phone number.”

Input the country code in the top
eld and the mobile number in
the bottom eld, tapping Request
Verication code once done. Be
sure to Click the URL in the text
message you recieve, to conrm
the phone number.
To conrm the email address,
tap the “Verify email” button
(Screen Image 6 on previous
page). Then input your email
and tap “Send.” A conrmation
email will be sent to the address
you specied. You must click
the URL in the conrmation
email to nalize pairing your
email to your Sphere Alarm.
Once the account has been
created, the red warning
icons seen here by Mail and
Phone settings will disappear.
The mail icon will turn blue
and the phone icon will turn
purple. Now you’re all set, your
account has been created!

All working sensors can be
triggered. The system will
generate alarms when receiving
alert signals sent from sensors.
This mode will allow some
selected sensors to remain working
while others are deactivated.
These sensors can be selected in App.
This mode will de-activate all
sensors. This mode will also
turn off the siren and stop
the alarm process.
This mode will trigger built-in
siren and send alarm messages
to emergency contacts.
It also triggers external sirens or
other sensors like smart outlets.

• System Status
The Sphere Alarm app offers complete control over the Sphere Alarm
System including the ability to set the system status and level of user
authority. You can adjust the system status to one of three settings:
Arm, Disarm or Home Arm. Sensors trigger an alarm depending on
the current system status. But whatever the status, you can manually
trigger an SOS at any time.
