COOKS EVERYTHING A CONVENTIONAL OVEN CAN
It is a true multi-purpose oven suitable for preparing all kinds
of dishes, which would normally require a full size conventional
kitchen oven.
COOKS IN MANY WAYS
It can roast, bake, grill, cook, steam, reheat, or defrost.
ECONOMICAL
It consumes less than half the electricity of conventional ovens and
approximately the same as a regular microwave oven. As a result,
it is a much more efficient option, due to its compact size and as
it requires less energy to heat up to achieve the same results.
So, you can save time and money, while your food is cooked to
perfection.
FAST
It cooks between 20% - 60% faster than a conventional oven. This
results from a combination of its compact size, efficient design and
fan heating principles.
FAT-FREE COOKING
As the halogen oven always cooks with hot air (dry roasting) and
the food can be suspended on the wire rack, retention of fat is
minimized to lower calories and cholesterol consumption.
TRAVELS EVERYWHERE
It is portable and is great for holidays. You can use it at home or
you can take it with you when you travel. The oven comes with
a convenient lid handle and with a protective basket for safe
handling when hot.
SELF-CLEANING
Hot air circulation creates an automatic turbo wash action.
COOKS EVENLY
Cooking with hot moving air means your food is perfectly roasted
all over.
EASY TO OPERATE
You can watch your food cooking, food remains succulent. Hot air
will not produce smoke and will not burn your food.

SELF-CLEANING FUNCTION
COOKING WITH THE HALOGEN OVEN
COOKING GUIDE
COOKING METHOD NOTE
BAKING
Place food in a metal, silicon or tempered glass baking pan with maximum 30 cm diameter. Leave enough
room for the ow of hot air around the food. You may also use aluminium foil or aluminium foil containers.
Consult the chart inside for guidelines regarding baked foods. If the baked food starts browning too quickly
reduce the temperature or cover it with baking paper or aluminium foil.
Alternatively you can pre-heat the oven or use an extender ring to create more space between heating element
and food.
BROILING Place the food directly on the two-way rack. For very thick cuts of meats, turn the food at the halfway point.
Like roasting, broiling time may vary depending on cut, size, amount of fat, etc.
STEAMING
You can steam vegetables at the same time you cook your main dish by placing the vegetables in an aluminium
foil pouch: add a few drops of water and seal the pouch.
You can also add a cup of water in the bottom pot, with savoury herbs and spices to steam sh or vegetables.
FRYING
You can get the eect of deep-fried French fries without all the oil, simply by dipping potato strips in
polyunsatrated cooking oil, allow the excess oil to drain away and cook according to cooking guide.
To make delicious fried chicken: dip chicken pieces in batter and then in cooking oil, drain excess oil and cook
according to chart provided
1 Add warm water to the glass bowl
4
ensuring there is no
more than a few centimetres (about 4-5 cm) in depth and add
a small amount of mild detergent.
2 Replace the lid
1
and set the thermostat
12
to WASH/
THAW and the timer
11
to 10 minutes. The water and hot
air circulation in the glass bowl
4
will help clean away some
of the cooking stains and loosen the burnt-on residue. Youcan
leave the racks and other accessories inside the glass bowl
4
.
3 When the timer
11
switches OFF, remove the lid
1
and
rinse the glass bowl
4
and accessories in clean warm water
to remove all soap residue.
4 If the oven is particularly dirty, replace the lid
1
and repeat the
process for another 2 or 3 minutes.
5 Wipe the metal cover under the lid
1
with a soft, damp,
lint free cloth moistened with a mild detergent solution. Dry
thoroughly with a soft cloth. Never immerse the lid in water
or any other liquids.
6 All accessories (except the lid) can be washed in the dishwasher.
7 HINT: Before cooking you can spray the two-way rack
8
or
low rack
7
with an non-stick spray or oil to prevent food
sticking to the racks.
Cooking time depends on the size, weight, type etc. of the food to
be cooked. Most meats come with recommended cooking times,
but since halogen ovens cook faster than conventional ovens, you
may need to adjust the cooking time.
To ensure the food is cooked properly, use a cooking thermometer
or pierce the food with a fork or skewer to check for signs of it
being uncooked. When cooking vegetables check for tenderness.
Always check your food is fully cooked before serving.
Distribute the food evenly in the halogen oven to ensure an even
flow of air can circulate all around the food. Avoid stacking food in an
attempt to cook more food, if air cannot circulate around the food, you
will only fully cook the top. Always leave spaces for the air to travel.
Cooking time may vary according to the weight of the food and individual
taste. When you become familiar with the oven you will be able to
determine the best cooking times and temperatures to suit your personal
preference. Using the tongs to remove the cooking racks is advisable.

at once. Use the two-way rack and set the thermostat between 220 - 230°C /
428 - 446°C according to personal taste.
Snacks
when soft or soggy 5

min
130
150 HIGH Check often until grilled to taste
HINT - ROASTING
When roasting, increase the cooking time and reduce the temperature by approximately 10% when cooking marinated meats. For
larger pieces of meat, use the extender ring. Remember that cooking time may vary depending on cut size and degree of meat
tenderness desired. Consult the cooking guide for guidelines Place a piece of kitchen foil at the bottom of the oven so it gathers excess
fat and enables the bowl to be cleaned more easily.
HINT - GRILL & BBQ
When barbecuing or grilling, ensure all items are placed on the high rack and the temperature is set between 220°C - 240°C. It is also
recommended to consider that frozen foods, such as burgers, sausages, etc., are likely to require a longer cooking time. To ensure an
even colour you may wish to turn your food during the grilling process.
