POWER BAR DUO
Small, handy, powerful - your mobile
charging station for two GoPro® Hero3
rechargeable batteries und plenty of other
USB devices.
The POWER BAR DUO features a built-in
rechargeable battery and can be used to
charge batteries and power devices without
using an additional external power source.

Turning the POWER
BAR DUO on and off
• By pressing the power button for 2
seconds, the device gets switched on or
off.
• When turned on, the status LED of the
POWER BAR (ill.1a) shows the state of
charge of the internal battery.
Note:
• To save power the LED will turn off after 10 seconds.
• The device will turn off automatically if not in use for
over 1 minute.
• A quick press on the power button will show if the
device is still switched on
Checking the state of charge
• If the POWER BAR DUO is switched on,
a quick press on the power button will
show the capacity of the internal battery.
This is possible even during the charging
process.

Charging the
POWER BAR DUO
• Connect the included cable to the Mini-
USB plug [IN] of the POWER BAR DUO.
• Connect the cable to a matching USB
power source (ill.2a).
• The charging process automatically
starts.
• After getting fully charged or by
unplugging the USB cable the POWER
BAR DUO will turn off.
Notes:
• If there are rechargeable batteries in Tray 1 or Tray 2,
those will get charged before the internal battery.
• Fully charging the POWER BAR DUO will also reset the
internal software in case of malfunction.
Using a 5V 1A power source, it will take about 4 hours to fully
charge the internal, completely depleted battery at room tempera-
ture. The actual time to charge depends on the ambient tempera-
ture and the state of charge of the internal battery.

Charging of GoPro®
Hero3 batteries
• Remove the housing cover (ill.3a)
• Put 1 or 2 GoPro® batteries in the desig-
nated battery trays (ill.3b)
• Start the charging process by pressing
and holding the power button for 2
seconds.
Concerning the order of charging:
• A battery put in before the charging process will also
get charged ahead of the internal battery.
• If two batteries are placed in the device, the one in
Tray 1 (ill.1b) will get charged rst.
Using a 5V 1A power source, it will take about 1,5 hours to fully
charge a completely depleted GoPro® battery at room tempera-
ture. The actual time to charge depends on the ambient tempera-
ture and the state of charge of the internal battery.

Charging of external
USB devices
• Use the cable to connect a suitable device to
the USB socket [OUT] on the POWER BAR
DUO (ill.4a)
• Press and hold the power button for
2 seconds to start the charging process.
• When the charging process is nished
or by disconnecting the USB cable,
the POWER BAR DUO will turn off
automatically.
Concerning the order of charging:
• If the POWER BAR DUO is also
connected to an external power source
(USB IN), the internal battery will get
charged rst.

The actual time to charge depends on the connected device,
the ambient temperature and the state of charge of the internal
battery.

Simultaneous
charging
• The battery trays and external charging can be
used simultaneously.
• Please note the order of charging:

Handling advice
• Only use suitable GoPro® HERO3 batteries in the
battery trays.
• For optimal charging performance of the internal bat-
tery a 5V 1A power source is recommended.
• Make sure there is ample air circulation during the
charging process.
• Fully charging the POWER BAR DUO will also reset the
internal software in case of malfunction.
• Do not use the POWER BAR DUO in water, rain, snow
or other very humid envirmonments.
• Do not keep for longer periods in direct sunlight, hot
environments, or near other sources of heat.
• Do not operate the device if it has suffered heavy
shock or has been otherwise damaged.
• Avoid scratching and abrasion of the housing by using
the included protective bag.
• Do not use any liquids to clean the surface or interior
of the device, pressurised air is recommended.
• Always check all cables and sockets for damage before
connecting them to the POWER BAR DUO.
• Never touch the device or the connected cables with
wet hands.
• Do not try to disassemble the device on your own.
Incorrect handling can lead to electrical shocks or
burning.
• Should the device need repair or maintenance, please
consult your dealer.
• Observe local laws and regulations for disposal and
recycling of exhausted rechargeable batteries.

Ein- und Ausschalten
der POWER BAR DUO
• Durch Drücken des Powerknopfs für
2 Sekunden, schalten Sie das Gerät ein
bzw. aus.
• Beim Einschalten zeigt die Status LED der
POWER BAR (Abb.1a) den Ladezustand
des internen Akkus an.
Beachten Sie:
• Um Strom zu sparen, erlischt die LED nach
10 Sekunden.
• Wird das Gerät länger als 1 Minute nicht verwendet,
schaltet es sich automatisch aus.
• Kurzes Drücken des Powerknopfs zeigt an, ob das
Gerät noch eingeschalten ist.
Testen des Ladezustands
• Ist die POWER BAR DUO eingeschalten,
können Sie durch kurzes Drücken des
Powerknopfs den Ladezustand des
internen Akkus testen. Das ist auch wäh-
rend einem Ladevorgang möglich.

Auaden der
POWER BAR DUO
• Schließen Sie das mitgelieferte Kabel an
den Mini-USB Eingang [IN] der POWER
BAR DUO.
• Verbinden Sie das Kabel mit einer passen-
den USB Stromquelle (Abb.2a).
• Der Ladevorgang startet nun automa-
tisch.
• Nach dem Ladevorgang bzw. bei Abziehen
des USB Kabels schaltet sich die POWER
BAR DUO wieder aus.
Beachten Sie:
• Benden sich Akkus in den Steckplätzen Tray 1 bzw. 2,
werden diese zuerst geladen.
• Ein vollständiger Ladeprozess der POWER BAR DUO
setzt das System im Falle einer Fehlfunktion zurück.
Mit einer 5V 1A Stromquelle dauert es etwa 4 Stunden, um den
internen, vollständig entladenen Akku bei Raumtemperatur wieder
voll aufzuladen. Die tatsächliche Ladedauer hängt stark von der
Umgebungstemperatur und dem Ladezustand des Akkus ab.

Auaden von
GoPro® Akkus
• Nehmen Sie den Gehäusedeckel ab (Abb.3a)
• Legen Sie 1 oder 2 GoPro® Akkus in die
vorgesehenen Plätze ein (Abb.3b)
• Durch 2 Sekunden langes Drücken des
Powerknopfs starten Sie den Ladevor-
gang.
Beachten der Lade-Reihenfolge:
• Bendet sich beim Einschalten bereits 1 Akku im
Gerät, wird auch dieser zuerst geladen.
• Sind 2 Akkus eingelegt, wird zuerst jener in Tray 1
(Abb.1b) geladen.
Es dauert etwa 1 Stunde 15 Minuten, um einen vollständig entla-
denen GoPro® Akku bei Raumtemperatur wieder voll aufzuladen.
Die tatsächliche Ladedauer hängt stark von der Umgebungstempe-
ratur und dem Ladezustand des Akkus ab.

Auaden externer

• Schließen Sie ein geeignetes Gerät per Kabel
an den USB Ausgang [OUT] der POWER BAR
DUO (Abb.4a)
• Durch 2 Sekunden langes Drücken des Pow-
erknopfs starten Sie den Ladevorgang.
• Nach dem Ladevorgang bzw. beim
Abziehen des USB Kabels schaltet
sich die POWER BAR DUO wieder
ab.
Beachten der Lade-Reihenfolge:
• Ist die POWER BAR DUO zusätzlich an
einer externe Stromquelle angeschlos-
sen (USB IN), wird zuerst der interne
Akku geladen.

Die Ladedauer hängt von den Eigenschaften des angeschlossenen
Geräts, sowie von Umgebungstemperatur und dem Ladezustand
des internen Akkus ab.

Tipps zur Verwendung
• Verwenden Sie in den vorgesehenen Steckplätzen
ausschließlich passende GoPro® Akkus.
• Für die beste Lade-Performance des internen Akkus
wird eine 5V 1A Stromquelle empfohlen.
• Ein vollständiger Ladeprozess der POWER BAR DUO
setzt das System im Falle einer Fehlfunktion zurück.
• Bei Ladevorgängen sorgen Sie für ausreichend Luftzu-
fuhr um einen Wärmestau zu vermeiden.
• Setzen Sie die POWER BAR DUO nicht Wasser, Regen
oder Schnee aus.
• Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht in der heißen Sonne oder in
der Nähe von Wärmequellen liegen.
• Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb, wenn es
schweren Schlägen ausgesetzt oder anderweitig
beschädigt worden ist.
• Vermeiden Sie Kratzer beim Transport und verwenden
Sie die beigelegte Schutztasche.
• Verwenden Sie niemals Flüssigkeiten zur Reinigung.
Verschmutzungen in den Steckplätzen können mit
Druckluft entfernt werden.
• Prüfen Sie Kabel auf Beschädigungen bevor Sie sie mit
der POWER BAR DUO verbinden.
• Fassen Sie das Gerät und angeschlossene Kabel nicht
mit nassen Händen an.
• Nehmen Sie das Gerät niemals selbst auseinander.
Falsche Handhabung kann zu Stromschlägen oder
Feuer führen.
• Für etwaige Wartungs- oder Reperaturarbeiten geben
Sie das Gerät in fachkundige Hände.
• Beachten Sie die örtlichen Bestimmungen für die
Entsorgung verbrauchter Akkus.
