Getting Started
Turn the unit on/off
Adjust volume directly
1. Turn your car's ignition key to ACC or IGN(ON) position.
Or turn your car's ignition on by pressing the smart
ignition button.
2. Press POWER [ ] button to turn the unit on.
The previously tuned station is received or the song is
played.
3. Press and hold POWER [ ] button to turn the unit off.
Digital clock displays.
Digital clock display can be turned off or on in the
Settings menu.
1. Rotate Volume[VOL] dial to increase or to decrease the
volume level.
The display will show the volume level (Audio mode : 00 to
45 / Call mode : 06 to 45)
Muting the sound quickly
1. Press MUTE button to set mute or pause on. ‘MUTE’ or
‘PAUSE’ will flash on the display.
During the USB, paused the playback, press MUTE button
or rotate VOLIME[VOL] dial.

Getting Started
Setting the tone
About the System
You can adjust the level of the Bass/Middle/Treble/Balance/Fader and select
one of the 3 AVC styles or AVC OFF. You can change the system configuration and can view information about the system.
1. Press SET button to enter the Setup List. Setup List screen
will be displayed for five seconds.
2. Rotate TUNE dial to select the “SOUND” then press ENTER
button
3. Rotate TUNE dial to select the desired Tone control menu
then press ENTER button.
By rotating the TUNE dial, you can select one of the Tone
control menus as follows : Bass Middle
TrebleBalanceFaderAVC(Automatics Volume
Control
4. Rotate TUNE dial pres ENTER button to select the level or
EQ style.
Bass : adjust the bass sound level (-10 to +10)
Middle : adjust the middle sound level (-10 to +10)
Treble : adjust the treble sound level (-10 to +10)
Balance : adjust the sound balance between the right and
left speakers(-10 to +10)
Fader : adjust the sound fade between the front and rear
speakers(-10 to +10)
AVC(Automatics Volume Control) : adjust the sound level
according to vehicle speed.(HighMidLowOff)
1. The SET button to enter the Setup List. Setup
List screen will be displayed for five seconds.
2. Rotate TUNE dial to select the “SYSTEM” then
press ENTER button.
3. Rotate TUNE dial to select the desired
Configuration menu and then press the ENTER
button.
By rotating the TUNE dial, you can select one of
the setting menu ad follow : Language Clock

4. Rotate TUNE dial pres ENTER button to select
setting.
Language : English Korean
Clock Display : select the digital clock function is
activated(On) or deactivated(Off).
Clock Setting :adjust the current time(Hour,
Minute, AM/PM)

Tuning in a station
Note
During, reception of stereo station the “ST” indication is on.
When tuning in stations while driving, use preset number button to prevent
accidents.
Turn on the radio
1. Press RADIO/AST button repeatedly to select the band.

Storing a station manually
You can preset six stations for each band (FM1, FM2 and AM).
1. Following steps 1 tot 4 in “Tuning in a station” to tune to the frequency you wish
to preset.

2. Press and hold the Number [1 INTRO] ~ [6 INFO] buttons
for more than two seconds to select the preset number.
The frequency is stored in the selected preset number and
you will hear a beep.
To preset another station, repeat these steps.
3. Rotate TUNE dial or press << SEEK >> buttons repeatedly
to tune to a desired frequency.
Note
If you try to store another station using the same preset number, the previously
stored station will be replaced.
Tuning a station automatically
4. Press << SEEK >> buttons for more than two seconds,
then release.
Seeking will start.
The tuning automatically stops at the stations whose signals
can be received, and the station is selected.
To quickly scan a station
5. Press SCAN button to start tuning for a station.
The unit will go to a station, play five seconds, and then go
to the next station.
When the unit tunes in to the desired station, press
SCAN button to stop scanning

Listening to a preset station
Storing
stations automatically
1. Press BAND button repeatedly to select the band.

2. Press the Number [1 INTRO] ~ [6 INFO] button on
which the desired station is stored.
The Unit selects the station with the stonged signals within the selected band and stored
them in the numerical order of their frequency.
Up to six stations can be stored in current selected band.
1. Press BAND button repeatedly to select the band.

2. Press and hold AST buttons for more than two seconds.
Scanning frequency will be appeared on the display.
The unit stores stations in the order of their frequencies on
the number buttons.
Note
If only a few stations can be received due to weak signals, the unit will store the only
available stations to the number buttons and will store the latest frequency to
remains number buttons.
When a number is indicated in the display, the unit starts strong stations from the
start frequency of its band.

Controlling the
playback
Selecting the playback modes
1. Press << SEEK >> buttons repeatedly to go to the next
or previous tracks.
2. Press and hold << SEEK >> buttons to fast forward or
rewind the track, and release to resume the playback.
The search function works but search speed is not
constant.
While fast forwarding or rewinding, you can only hear
intermittent sounds.
3. Press [4 FOLDER ˅] or [5 FOLDER ˄] button
repeatedly to go to the previous or next folders.
1. Press [1 INTRO] button repeatedly to select Intro scan
playback mode.
-INT. A : Play intro for all songs
- INT. F : Play intro for songs in the current folder
- Off : Cancel playback mode
2. Press [2 Repeat] button repeatedly to select Repeat
playback mode.
- RPT.F :Tracks in the current folder play repeatedly
- RPT.S : The current tack plays repeatedly
- Off : Cancel playback mode
3. Press [3 RANDOM] button repeatedly to select Random
playback mode.
- RDM.F : Tracks of current folder play in random order.
- RDM.A : All tracks play in random order.
- Off : Cancel playback mode

Searching the music
Scroll function on/off
1. Rotate TUNE dial to select the desired folder or file
then press ENTER button to go in to folder or play
specific file to start playback.
Activate/deactivate the scroll function for displaying song title.
1. Press SET button to enter the Setup List. Setup List
screen will be displayed for five seconds.
2. Rotate TUNE dial to select the “System” then press
ENTER button.
3. Rotate TUNE dial to select the “Scroll” then press
ENTER button to activate(On)/deactivate(Off) the scroll
function.

1. Press [6 INFO] button to show the current song’s other
information for the five second.

Bluetooth
Bluetooth operation Connecting a mobile phone
To use the Bluetooth function, the following procedure is necessary
1. Pairing
When connecting Bluetooth devices for the first time, mutual registration is required.
This is called “pairing”. This registration(pairing) is required only for the first time, as
this unit and the other devices will recognize each other automatically the next time.
(Depending on the device, you may need to input a pass code for each connection.)
2. Connecting
Sometimes pairing allows automatics connection.
To use the device after pairing is made, start the connection.
3. Hands-free talk/Music streaming
You can call a mobile phone and listen to music when the connection is made.
Some Bluetooth device may no support specific functions.
-Devices are registered once paired and connected with this unit. You can select the
registered device and connect it.
-If pairing has already been archived, start operating from here.
- Depending on the device, connection may start automatically after pairing.
1. Connect to this unit using your mobile phone or press
Media/BT button 3 second or longer to show BT setting
where you can select the desired device.
Making a call via last call.
You can make a call from the connected mobile phone by operating this unit.
1. Press and hold BT_ON button on Steering Wheel
Controller(SWC) for more than three seconds to enter
the last call dial mode.
Pairing your phone and car audio system
First, register(“pair”) a Bluetooth device (mobile phone, etc.) and this unit with each other.
You can pair up to five devices. Once pairing is established, there is no need to pair again.
Place the Bluetooth device with 3m(9ft) of this unit.
Receiving a call
When receiving a call, the ring tone is output from your car speakers and caller’s ID
appears on screen.
1. Press and hold Media/BT button for more than three seconds.
The unit enters pairing standby mode.
The unit information, pass key and standby time will appears
on the display.
1. When a call comes in, “Incoming Call” and “Caller’s ID”
appears with a ring tone, press “BT_ON button on
Steering Wheel Controller(SWC) or select “Accept” then
press ENTER button.
“Calling” with Call ID appears and the phone call starts.
The built-in microphone of this audio system will pick up
your voice.
To receive the call on the mobile, select Secret and
press ENTER.
To reject an incoming call, rotate TUNE and select
“Reject” and press ENTER button or press
BT_Off/MUTE button on SWC. “CALL END” appears
and return to previous function.
2. Set the Bluetooth device to search for this unit. A list of detected devices appears in
the display of the connecting device. This unit is displayed as “X100” on the
connecting device.
Confirm this by press “YES”, “OK” or “Pairing” on your mobile device.
3. If *Pass key input is required, input the “xxxx”(4 digit) number which is displayed on
the this unit.
4. Set the Bluetooth device to connected to this unit.

Ending a call Transferring a call
or
1. Rotate TUNE and select “END” and press ENTER button or
press BT_Off button on SWC.
“CALL END” appears and return to previous function.
In order to active/deactivate the appropriate device (this unit/mobile phone), check the
following.
1. During a call via Bluetooth hand-free, rotate TUNE and
select “Secret” then press ENTER button.
The hands-free function is deactivated, and the
microphone and speaker of mobile phone are activated.
Soft button of “Secret” will change to “HF”.
Note
Depending on the mobile phone, hands-free connection may be cut off when
call transfer is attempted.
Adjust the talk volume
Listening to music from a Bluetooth
device
1. Rotate VOLUME dial to increase or to decrease the talk
volume level.
The display will show the Bluetooth volume level. (BT VOL :
06 ~ 45)
You can listen to music from the mobile evice on
this unit if the mobile evice support
A2DP(A vance Au io Distribution Profile) of
Bluetooth technology.
Muting the talk sound
1. Rotate TUNE and select “Mic Off” to active the microphone
mute function.
Soft button of “Mic Off” will change to “Mic On”.
To cancel the microphone mute function, select and press
ENTER button.

Listening to music from a Bluetooth device
Setting the Bluetooth mode
You can listen to music from the mobile device on this unit if the mobile device support
A2DP(Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) of Bluetooth technology. Setting the Bluetooth mode
1. Press and hold MEDIA/BT button to enter the BT Setup
list.
BT Setup list screen will be displayed for five seconds.
2. Rotate TUNE dial to select the desired Bluetooth control
menu then press ENTER button.
By rotating TUNE dial, you can select one of the
Bluetooth control menus as follows; BT On/Off
Auto BT Connect On/Off Add New Device
Phone PriorityPaired listDelete Paired
ListCar Ringtone setting
1. Switch on Bluetooth signal on your device.
2. Pair the device to this unit if mobile device is not already paired to it.
or
3. Press MEDIA/BT button repeatedly until “BT Music” appears.
4. Operate the audio device to start playback.
Rotate VOLUME dial to adjust the volume level on this unit.
You can change the volume and skip track by using button on
this unit.(Refer to “MP3 Player” section)
5. To stop listening to music, press RADIO/AST or Media button
to select other function.

Playing a USB device/iPod
Listening to auxiliary audio equipment
Playing a USB device/iPod
By connecting a USB device or iPod to the USB cable at the USB input jack on the unit,
you can listen on your car speakers, while controlling the USB device from the unit.
By connecting an optional portable audio device to the AUX input jack(Stereo mini jack)
on the unit then simply selecting the source, you can listen on your ca speakers. The
volume level is adjustable for any difference between the unit and the portable audio
device.
1. Press and hold Power[ ] button to turn off the unit.
2. Connect the USB storage device with MP3/WMA/OGG
files or iPod to be played to the USB input terminal using
USB cable.
The “USB” or “iPod” appears and playback
starts automatically after recognizing the data of
the USB storage device.
3. When the USB storage device or iPod is already
connected, press MEDIA/BT button repeatedly until
USB/iPod appears.
The USB or iPod playback will start automatically.
1. Turn down the volume on the unit
2. Turn off the external audio equipment.
Connect the audio output of the external audio
equipment to AUX input terminal on the unit.
Be sure to adjust the volume for
each connected audio device before
playback.
3. Start playback of the external audio equipment at a
moderate volume.
4. Press Media/BT button repeatedly until “AUX input”
appears.
When the external audio equipment is already
connected, skip the 1 ~ 3 steps.
5. Set your usual listening volume on the unit.

If your vehicle has this feature, some audio controls can be adjusted at the steering
wheel. They include the following:
① Volume Up
-Press or hol : to turn the volume own
② BT_On

-Press an hol : to make a call via last call ialing function
When a call comes in
-Press : to receive the incoming call
-Press an hol : to receive the incoming call
During a call
-Press : to transfer call between this unit an mobile phone.
-Press an hol : to transfer call between this unit an mobile phone.
