•after malfunction, after the appliance has been dropped or damaged in
any other way.
•Only operate the humidier when it is completely assembled.
•Repairs of electrical appliances are only to be made by qualied service
engineers. Improper repair work can cause considerable danger to the
user.
•Disconnect the appliance from the mains power before lling/emptying
the water lank, before cleaning/maintenance, assembling/ dismantling
of individual parts and before moving the appliance.
•Place the humidier on a dry, level surface. Do not place the device direct-
ly on the oor or next to heating.
•Do not pour water into the vapour outlet of the humidier.
•Do not put any additives in the water (e.g. fragrances, essential oils, wa-
ter fresheners, etc.)
•Do not submerse the main body in water or other liquids.
Attention
•The appliance works only properly with untreated Water. Do not use with
water from decalcifying devices or ion exchangers.
•Please DO NOT use any additive to the water (essential oils, water treat-
ment agent)! Even a very small quantity could destroy the material of
the water tank. The use of such additives causes immediate expiration
of warranty.
Before setup: lter cartridge and water hardness
The length of time the cartridge is effective for depends on the hardness
of the water. This can be tested using the testing strips provided (strips are
stuck to the reverse side of these instructions for use)
1. Dip the testing strips into the water for a second
2. After around one minute, the results can be seen on the testing
strips. Some of the green boxes change colour into pink. The water
hardness is shown by how many boxes turn pink.
Example: If three boxes are green, then the water hardness is at level «3»

With a water hardness upwards of 21 °dH, we can no longer recommend the
use of a ultrasonic air humidier. We recommend that you use an impeller
humidier to increase humidity in your house (e.g. Oskar humidier made by
Stadler Form).
The unit only works properly with untreated water. Do not use where there
are water softeners and water ionisers in operation. However, the William
may be operated from a drinking water lter system (e.g. Brita). Should you

A partir d’une dureté de l’eau supérieure à 21 °dH, nous ne pouvons plus
vous recommander l’utilisation d’un humidicateur à ultrasons. Nous vous
recommandons d’humidier votre air avec un humidicateur selon le prin-
cipe de vaporisation (p.ex. vaporisateur Oskar de Stadler Form).
Conseil
•Vous pouvez tester l’action de la cartouche avec le test très simple su-
ivant: Tenez un petit miroir devant la bruine pendant quelques secondes.
Si un dépôt blanc (du calcaire) s’est ensuite déposé sur le miroir, la car-
touche doit être remplacée.
•Dans le réservoir d’eau, se rassemblent des minéraux et des poussières
qui compromettent l’action de l’humidicateur. C’est pourquoi il faut tou-
jours verser d’abord le reste d’eau (avec ses dépôts) dans l’évier puis laver
abondamment le réservoir.
Commande de l’humidicateur
Touche on/off
Appuyer sur la touche on/off (7)pour mettre en marche et arrêter
l’humidicateur.
Mode préchauffage
Le préchauffage est mis en marche et arrêté à l’aide de la touche pour pré-
chauffage (12). Le préchauffage chauffe l’eau à 80°C dans l’appareil. Ainsi,
la vapeur atteint une température agréable de 40°C au niveau de la sortie
à deux voies. Le service avec préchauffage permet d’éviter une baisse de
la température ambiante, d’augmenter la puissance du vaporisateur et de
tuer des bactéries.
Mode timer
Avec la touche Timer (11), vous pouvez programmer le temps de fonction-
nement. Ce temps peut être réglé de 1 à 8 heures. Lorsque la minuterie est
activée, le symbole « Time » apparaît sur l’écran.
Mode auto/sleep
Un appui sur la touche (10) permet d’activer le mode automatique. Dans
ce cas, le symbole « Auto » apparaît sur l’écran. En mode automatique,
l’humidité atmosphérique parfaite pour la température ambiante correspon-
dante est maintenue en permanence. Lors de l’activation de la fonction «
Sleep », l’humidité atmosphérique de 60% et le préchauffage sont automa
