STARNET GSMBOX FT5X
Simple Setting Up Intructions
1. Set up your simcard (Read “How to Set Up your Simcard)
2. Install the simcard to the Starnet GSMBOX
3. Install Antenna. (Note: Please position the antenna outside of the room or near
the window and AWAY from the fax machine. At least 1 metre away!)
4. Connect the AC/DC adaptor to the Starnet GSMBOX and AC power point.
5. Switch ON the Starnet GSMBOX

How to Operate:
YOUR GSM PHONE NUMBER: 019 229 0250 (example)
YOUR GSM FAX NUMBER: 019 2641350 (example)
1: MAKING FAX CALLS
•Insert Fax Message to your Fax Machine
•Dial the destination fax number
•Press “Start” Button on your Fax Machine
2: TO RECEIVE FAX
•Sender must dial your GSM fax number (not the GSM phone number!)
•(Your fax machine’s receiving mode must be set to “Fax Only”)
3: TO MAKE PHONE CALLS
•Lift the handset of the connected Single Line Telephone and dial the number
•Speak up when other party answers.
4: TO RECEIVE PHONE CALL
•Caller to dial your GSM Phone number
•Your Phone Rings, Lift the handset to answer.
How to setup your Simcard:
There are three things you must do to set up your SIM CARD.
1. Your SIM CARD must have a fax line subscription. If you have a fax line subscription, your
SIM CARD will carry two sets of numbers – one set is your telephone or mobile number and
the second set is your fax line number. If you do not have a fax line subscription, pls go to
Operator to apply.
2. Cancel “All Calls Diverting” on your SIM CARD (Celcom only)
3. Disable “PIN” on your SIM CARD
To cancel “Call Diverting” (apply to 019 simcard)
(If you do not do this , incoming calls to your fax number will go to the voice box only )
1. Insert SIM CARD into a GSM handphone
2. Go Call Divert menu in your handphone
3. Select “ Cancel All Call Diverts”, Press OK
To Disable “PIN”
(If you do not do this step, there will not be any signal on your equipment)
1. Insert SIM CARD into a GSM handphone
2. Go the PIN (or security) Menu in your handphone
3. Select “ Disable PIN request” . Press OK.
IT IS POSSIBLE ALSO “TO CANCEL ALL DIVERTS” BY LIFTING THE HANDSET OF THE FAX
MACHINE AND DIAL # # 002 #, YOU WILL HEAR 2 QUICK BEEPS FROM THE STARNET GSM
BOX, THEN REPLACE THE HANDSET TO THE FAX MACHINE. YOU ARE NOW READY TO
RECEIVE FAX.
