Pilot drilling is recommended for wood stud installations, to prevent splitting of studs. Pilot
drill diameter should be less than the minor diameter of the screw threads. Lower Unit/Wall
plate may be used as a template, when pilot drilling is required.
To ensure proper mounting and to prevent personal injury,
this unit must be mounted to wall studs as outlined below.
Due to wall construction variation, wall mounting fasteners are NOT provided with this unit.
Unit must be attached to wall studs. Attachment methods that rely on only the drywall for
support (using toggle bolts and wall anchors) are NOT acceptable.
Recommended fasteners for Steel Stud installations:
#12 Self Drilling Sheet Metal Screws (qty: 16)
#12 Flat Washers, metal (qty: 16)
Mounting screw length must allow for at least 1½ inches of penetration into the wall stud.
Example: 3" long fasteners will be adequate with a single layer of 5/8" thick drywall.
Individual attachment methods should comply with local building codes and requirements.
C A U T I O N
Recommended fasteners for Wood Stud installations:

1. Install top (2) #12 screws and
washers (not included) into the
existing wall studs, spaced 16" on
center (O.C.) and 40" from the floor.
Leave 1" of screw length exposed
for step 3.
2. Remove T27 torx screws and
cover. Set screws and cover aside.

IMPORTANT:
When mounting the unit to hollow wall construction, the
following conditions must be met:
• Stud must be at least 2" x 4" nominal size for Wood and 20 ga. or
thicker for Metal.
• Studs must be 16" on center Maximum.
• Attach unit directly to wall studs, using #12 screws and #12 flat washers
(hardware not included).
• Torque fasteners to the manufacturers specifications.
• Mounting screw length should allow for at least 1-1/2" of penetration into
the wall stud.
• To provide for maximum rigidity, all 16 mounting hole locations should be
utilized as shown.
• For additional mounting scenarios, refer to the Sharelink 8 wall mount
bulletin (003724D).

3. Hang lower unit onto two (2) screws (3a).
Level the unit and tighten screws (3b). Install
additional #12 screws with washers to stabilize

4. Slide 4-bar arm into wall pivot (4a).
Slide o-ring onto tube until it seats in
groove provided (4b). Remove cover
from 4-bar arm and set aside (4c).
Remove cover from underside of spine
and set aside (4d).

5. Remove cover from keyboard tray and
set aside (5a). Attach keyboard tray to spine
with four (4) 1/4-20 x 3/4" hex bolts (5b). 5a

7. Slide mount assembly onto end of arm until audible
click is heard (7a). Tighten set screw to prevent
removal of monitor (7b). If necessary, adjust set screw
to accommodate the weight of the monitor/keyboard
assembly. The 4-bar arm must be in its full upright
position (or have covers removed) to access this screw.
Turn the screw clockwise to allow the 4-bar arm to rise
easier when the release handles are operated. Turn the
screw counterclockwise to allow the 4-bar to sink easier
when the release handles are operated (7c).

IMPORTANT:
Route two (2) USB cables through plastic
cable channel (8c) and out cable grommet
(8d). Group the two (2) USB cables and one
(1) adjustment cable by wrapping a spiral
wrap around the cables (8e). 4-bar arm
must be in full upright position (as shown),
when installing spiral cable wrap around
adjustment cable and two (2) USB cables.
Spiral cable wrap must be installed with a
minimum gap of 1" between the end of the
spiral cable wrap and the cable grommet.
This will allow cables to slide freely through
the cable grommet during use (8f).

Remove screw from clip located underneath
spine (8g) and remove clip (8h). Route spiral
wrap through clip (8j) and re-install clip by
securing with screw (8k). Route the two (2)
USB cables with the adjustment cable
through spine (8m) and into keyboard tray.

Lift up strap and place CPU onto shelf (9e).
Buckle end of strap to secure CPU (9f).

and route cables through lower grommet
