Warnings

• DonottaketheFanapartorrepairitunlessyouarequaliedtodoso.NeverrepairorservicetheFanwhiletheFan
is plugged in.
• Makesuretheairintakeandoutletarefreefromallmaterialsandawayfromobstructions,asrestrictionsmay
causetheFantooverheatandcauseashockorrehazard.

TheF-29AhighvelocityFanisdesignedforoordrying,waterdamagerestoration,andventilation.
1) Place the Fan on a level and stable surface.
2) Plug the Fan into a grounded outlet with the correct voltage and amperage. For maximum protection against electrical shock,
ALWAYSuseacircuitthatisprotectedbyagroundfaultcircuitinterrupter.Ifyouareunsureabouttheoutlet,checkwithaquali-
edelectricianorserviceperson.
3) Turn the switch to desired speed setting and check that the Fan operates properly before letting it run.
AUXILIARY OUTLET
ThisFanisequippedwithabuilt-inGFCIprotectedoutletthatallowsyouto“daisychain”togethermultipleFansinordertooperate
in large areas where power outlets are limited or not available. All other warnings for use of this Fan should be strictly adhered to.
OPERATION
ELECTRICAL
GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER (GFCI) OUTLET
TheGFCIprotectstheuserfrompotentialelectricalshock.Shoulditdetectasuddengroundfault,theGFCIwillinterruptthecur-
rentandshuttheFano.Itwillalsofault/tripwhenashortcircuitoranoverloadoccurs.IftheGFCIfaults/trips,unplugtheFanand
lookforpotentialhazardssuchasstandingwater,adamagedcord,etc.Oncetheproblemiscorrected,plugtheFanbackin,push
the“Reset”button,locatedontheGFCIfaceplate,andre-starttheFan.IfFandoesnotre-start,pleaserefertothetroubleshooting
section of this manual.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS: ThisFanMUSTBEgrounded.Groundingprovidesapathofleaseresistanceforelectriccurrentto
reducetheriskofelectricshock.ThisFanisequippedwithacordfeaturingagroundingplugthatmustbeinsertedintoanappropri-
ateoutletthatisincompliancewithalllocalcodesandordinances.Checkwithaqualiedelectricianorservicepersonifyouarein
doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. Never modify the power cord in any way.
POWER CORD WARNINGS: Never operate the Fan with a damaged power cord or damaged extension cord as this may lead to
electricalorrehazards.NeverunplugtheFanbypullingthecord.Grasptheplugrmlyandpullstraightout.Takeprecautionsnot
tousethecordinawaywheredamagemayoccur.Keepcordawayfromallwaterandheatedsurfaces.Inspectcordbeforeeachuse
and replace any cord that shows any sign of damage.
EXTENSION CORDS WARNINGS:ExtensioncordsmustbegroundedandbeabletodelivertheappropriatevoltagetotheFan.

• Inspectforloosefasteners.
• CleansafetyscreensoftheFan.
• ListenforabnormalsoundsandshuttheFanoimmediatelyuponhearingunusualnoises.
• KeepFanclean.
• Usecompressedairoravacuumtoremovelintandotherdebrisfromthemotor,inlet,orfanwheel.
• Donotuseapressurewasher,waterhose,orotherwatersourcetocleantheFan.
• TheFanhassealedbearingsandcannotbelubricated.Nooilingisnecessary.

replace or repair Fan without charge to the customer. Any repair or replacement of the Fan will be warranted only for

not covered under this limited warranty: a) damage caused by improper use; b) operation of the Fan for any reason not
authorizedbySterling;c)cosmeticdamageoranydamagecausedbymisuse,impropermaintenance,connectionto
impropervoltagesupply,accidents,actsofGod,abuse,negligence,damagecausedduringshipping,modicationsor
attempted repair by anyone other than Sterling; or d) alteration or removal of factory-applied serial number.

proof of retail purchase; (ii) the date of the failure; and (iii) a description of the failure. All shipping expenses to Sterling
aretheowner’sresponsibility.
The obligations of Sterling herein are granted in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not
limitedto,thewarrantiesofmerchantabilityoftnessforaparticularpurpose.Theremedyprovidedinthiswarrantyis
exclusive and is granted in lieu of all other remedies. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied war-
