Let the box stan on the pallet. Cut the front si e open an let the machine roll
over the si e of the box which has been fol e own (see Figure) so that the run-
ning wheels are still stan ing on the pallet.
In this position, clip the si e brushes which are on the irt container un er the si e
brush plate (in the front exterior portion of the machine) (see Figure). Apply light
pressure to twist the brushes upwar s until you can feel them lock into place. Note:
o not tip over the machine in this process: there is the anger of battery aci
running out.

Page 5
First roll the machine from the box an from the pallet.
Afterwar s, put the steering han le in the upright position, pull it ownwar s into
the two tappets completely (see Figure) an tighten it with the two thumb screws.
Note: before you carry out the following steps, please ensure that the safety switch
on the steering han le is put in position "0" (see Figure).
Remove the main-cover of the machine unlatching evice with the tool supplie in
the reach of the irt collector after the irt collector has been remove . After open-
ing up the cover, the positive pole of the battery can be slippe on an be tight-
ene with a spanner (SW 13) (It was remove for reasons of safety uring transpor-
tation). Finally, replace the cover latching evice again imme iately.
4. Starting Up/Operating
4. Starting Up/Operating4. Starting Up/Operating
4. Starting Up/Operating
After the machine has been assemble , it is imme iately rea y for operation.
First of all, the two lateral brushes shoul be lowere . For this purpose, push the
thumb washer forwar (see Figure) with your foot until the brushes just touch the
floor.
It is possible to a just the height of the main sweeping brush using the a justment
han le on the left si e of the machine (un er the irt collector) (see Figure). Please
ensure that the brush tips only touch the floor lightly. If the brushes are a just too
low, this increases the wear on the brushes an the gear components as well as the
power consumption. Position 1 - the highest brush position (for new, unworn roll-
ers), position 5 - the lowest brush position (for worn brushes or very uneven floors
for a short perio of time).
Put the toggle switch on the steering han le in position "I" (see Figure).
Afterwar s, the LED's over the switch in icate how much of a charge there is in the
battery. If the green io e is lighte up, the machine is rea y for operation. If the
yellow io e is lighte up, go to the loa ing station. If the re io e is lighte up,
the machine shoul be switche off imme iately to keep the battery from losing its
charge. Put the toggle switch to "0" to shut the machine off. This switch also serves
the purpose of protecting against overloa ing uring power transmission. If the
motor loa become significantly higher, for instance as a result of sweepings get-
ting blocke or excessive resistance in the rive, the switch jumps into position 0.
After eliminating the malfunction, the machine may be restarte .

Steering rive:
Steering rive:Steering rive:
Steering rive:
The machine starts moving when you carefully pull the steering han le towar s
you. Check the behaviour of the steering rive especially when it is use for the first
time so that the machine remains un er control. We recommen that you loosen
your grip on the steering han le slightly when going aroun curves to lower the
spee in the curve. You will quickly notice that it is easy to operate an move the
machine with or without using the steering rive. If there is more irt, you shoul
push the machine over the irty place more slowly to achieve the optimum clean-
ing effect.
In or er to move it backwar s, loosen the steering han le an pull the machine in
the esire irection.
Cleaning filters:
Cleaning filters:Cleaning filters:
Cleaning filters:
There is a han le in the area of the han le of the irt container. This shoul be
move a number of times (see Figure) every time before you empty the irt collec-
tor with the motor shut off. This sets a vibration mechanism into motion so that the
loose irt which is sitting between the lamellas falls irectly into the irt container. If
there is stubborn irt, clean the filter with a brush or remove the filter an tap
slightly.
Emptying the irt collector:
Emptying the irt collector:Emptying the irt collector:
Emptying the irt collector:
Always take the irt container in both han s (see Figure). You shoul put one han
in the front han le area in the mi le of the machine. Put the other han on the
upper e ge from behin .
Lift the container upwar s from behin .
It is easiest to empty it into a rubbish bin over the si e e ge (see Figure).
After use:
After use:After use:
After use:
When you have finishe sweeping, shut off the machine. In or er to alleviate the
loa on the lateral brushes, the si e brushes have to be put up using the thumb
washers every time after it is use (see Figure).
Charging the battery:
Charging the battery:Charging the battery:
Charging the battery:
The charging socket is on the lower si e of the operating console (see Figure).
This is where you shoul insert the charging plug. We recommen that you always
leave the machine on the battery charger when it is not being use . This will guar-
antee that you will always have a machine which is rea y for operation. Put the
switch of the battery charger inclu e on "normal" an observe the information of
the battery charger manufacturer.
