1.Introduction
The Bluetooth Communication Platform
by Stonestreet One is a hardware
platform that was designed to be a
cost effective means to utilize
Bluetooth technology. Due to the
nature and simplicity of this
product, it can be detached from one
system and connected to a new system
in a manner of minutes. It is
designed around an integrated
Bluetooth Module developed by Taiyo
Yuden, which is based on the Silicon
Wave chip set. It provides all of
the necessary hardware to support
developers as well as end user. The
Taiyo Yuden module incorporated on
the board was developed to comply
with the Bluetooth Specification
version 1.1.
The hardware supports a USB
connection that is used to exchange
digital data between an external PC
and the Bluetooth device. The USB
interface provides direct access to
the Host Controller Interface (HCI)
of the Bluetooth Module. No external
power is required. The hardware
obtains its power from the USB
connection.

2.Communication Platform
Description
The Bluetooth Communication Platform
by Stonestreet One is designed to
allow connectivity of Bluetooth
enabled electronic devices through
Taiyo Yuden’s EYSF2SSXX and EYSF1SSXX
Bluetooth Modules. The hardware is
self-contained in translucent
enclosure to protect the electronics
from exposure. Due to the design of
the product, access to the internal
electronics is not required.
3.Power Supply
Power for the dongle is obtained from
the USB interface. No external power
is required.
4.HCI Command Interface
Communication with the Bluetooth HCI
can be performed via the USB
interface.
