USERS MANUAL
In the unlikely event you should discover a mechanical problem
with your watch, it is repairable. However, you should not open
the watch or attempt to repair it yourself, as it will void your
warranty. The watch back cover should be opened, and any
repair work earned out, only by an authorized watchmaker.
The watch is a complex technical device that requires careful
handling only by qualified technicians.
It will work trouble-free and keep highly accurate time If you
do the following:
automatic watch - wear the watch a minimum of 10 hours a
day to maintain automatic winding by the movement of your
wrist.

«Water resistant 20 ATM» or «Водонепроницаемые 20 атм»
- you can swim under water with scuba equipment.
Water resistant watches of 5 or more atmospheres are, as a
rule, equipped with screw-in watch crowns. To set the hands,
wind up the watch or change the calendar setting you should
unscrew the crown. Recommendation:
• please have the water resistance of your Watch tested once
every two years at your service-center.
Do not manipulate the watch crown underwater.
WATER RESISTANCE
The level of water resistance of your watch is directly related
to the security of the screw-in back cover, which is factory
sealed:
• «Water resistant 3 ATM» or «Водонепроницаемые 3 атм»
- you can wear the watch in rain and wash your hands under a
faucet, when water is splashed up undersmall pressure;
• «Water resistant 5 ATM» or «Водонепроницаемые 5 атм»
- you can water your garden and wash your car with water
coming out of a hose;
• «Water resistant 10 ATM» or «Водонепроницаемые 10
атм» - you can swim and dive (but not from a tower) and swim
underwater but not scuba dive;

INDICATION: During the calendar jump phase between 10.30
pm and 00.00 am the date can be changed. In this case the
date of the following day needs to be set as there will be
no jump at midnight.

1. Pull the crown out to the 1st position.
2. Turn the crown to set hour and minute hands.
3. Push the crown back to the normal position.
Model VJ21 (32) has quick date correction - turning
crown clockwise in second position. Time setting is done
in third position.

User’s Manual
1. If required, the watch can be wound by rotation of the
watch crown clockwise from the initial fixed position. If your
watch has a screwed-in crown, it should be unscrewed (Pic.
10) before winding the watch. Do not forget to screw the
crown back after the winding.
2. The hands are set the following way: the watch crown
should be pulled out from the case to the remotest/outermost
fixed position (Pic. 1) and then rotated clockwise to set the
right time. Then the watch crown should be returned to the
initial position (and screwed back in place if the watch has a
screwed-in crown).

3. To change the date you should put the watch crown in the remotest/
outermost fixed position and rotate the crown clockwise till the date
changes. If it is necessary to change the date-of-the month for more
than one day, please rotate the crown clockwise till the date changes,
then the hands should be moved counter-clockwise back to the «8
o’clock» and then again clockwise to the «12 o’clock» position. The
date-of-the month shifts one day per each cycle of moving hands within
the range «12-8-12». When the date-of-the month is set, the hands
should be set to the time again moving clockwise. When hands are set
to time reckoning after 12 a.m., they should be moved one full wind
clockwise and then set to a desired position. NH35 models have quick
date correction - turning crown counter clockwise in second position.
Once completed, the watch crown should be returned to the
initial position (and screwed if the watch has a screwed-in
crown).

Technical Specifications

• 32 Ruby jewels.
Hour hand performs only one full rotation per day. Time is
indicated in 24h format.
Please see the other parameters and manual as in 2416
movement.
For models with World time scale:
Lower crown rotates the World time scale bezel, which
enables you to read time of different
time zones throughout the world.
1. By turning the lower crown
clockwise or
counterclockwise position

name of the city with the
local time facing the hour

city is
indicated opposite its name
or the
city from the same time

How to set the time
1) Pull out the crown to the second click position.
2) Turn the crown to set hour and minute hands. (Check that
AM / PM is set correctly.)
3) Push the crown back into the normal position.
Note:
If the crown is pulled to the second position while the
chronograph is started, the chronograph hands
will continue to move. This is not a malfunction.
How to set the date
1) Pull out the crown to the first click position.
2) Turn the crown clockwise for date setting.

*Do not set the date between 9:00 P.M. and 3:00 A.M. as this
will cause a malfunction.
3) Push the crown back into the normal position.
3.How to reset (after battery change)
It is possible to reset by the following methods.
1) Pull out the crown to the second click position.
2) Press the button B for two seconds and release the button.
3) Push the crown back to the normal position.
NOTE
It is not necessary to set the chronograph hands after the
battery is exchanged.
If the chronograph hands position are incorrect, following
below procedure all the chronograph hands
will be reset.

HOW TO USE THE CHRONOGRAPH
Standard measurement: press the buttons in the following order : A - A - B
Press button A to start
the chronograph. The
chronograph second hand
will start moving.
( 20 minutes 10 seconds )
Press button A again to stop the
chronograph. The chronograph hands
stop to indicate the elapsed time.
Press button B to reset
the chronograph. All the
chronograph hands will be
reset to “0” position.
Note
The chronograph can
measure up to 60 minutes.
The chronograph stops
after a measurement for 60
minutes.
*Restart by pushing button A.
During the chronograph
operation, button B (reset)
can be pushed. There is no
problem with the function.

Accumulated elapsed time measurement: press the buttons in
the following order : A - A / A -...A - B
Press button A to start the
chronograph.
(8 minutes 40 seconds) Press button A
again to stop the chronograph.
Restart and stop of the chronograph can be repeated as many times as
necessary by pressing button A
( 20 minutes 10 seconds )
Press button A again to stop

MOVEMENTS MANUAL WINDING
Crown of the watch has 2 positions:
• a – mainspring winding;
• b – time setting.
To unscrew the crown:
1. Turn it counterclockwise until tight.
2. Then you can wind the mainspring or pull crown out for
time setting (Pos. “b”). To screw in the crown:
1. Return the crown in Pos. “a”.
2. Turn crown clockwise while pressing it lightly until tight.

This chronograph is able to measure and display time in 1/4 second united up to
maximum of 59min 59sec.
Measuring time with the stopwatch
1. Press button “ A “ to start the chronograph.
2. The chronograph can be started and stopped each time button “A” is pressed.
3. Press button “B” to reset the chronograph and chronograph minute and second
hands return to their Zero positions.
E) CHRONOGRAPH RESET (INCL. AFTER REPLACING BATTERY)
This procedure shoud be performed when the chronograph second hand does not
return to the Zero position.
1. Pull the crown out to the 2nd Click Position.
2. Press the button “A” once to set the chronograph second hand to the Zero posi-
tion.
* The chronograph hand can be advanced rapidly by continuously pressing button
“A”.
3. Once the hands are set at Zero position, reset the time and return the crown to its
normal position.
MODEL 6S11/21 MIYOTA
SETTING THE TIME/DATE
To set TIME - Pull the crown out to the 2nd Click Position.
Turn the crown clockwise to set hour and minute hands.
To set DATE - Pull the crown out to the 1st Click Position.
Turn the crown clockwise to set the date.
* If the date is set between the hours of around 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM,
the date may not change on the following day.
After the date/time has been set, push the crown back to the Normal
position.

WARRANTY
The manufacturer warranty period is valid for 12 months
from the purchase date. In each country of sale the legal,
country-specific guarantee conditions apply.
The customer shall not have any claim under this warranty if:
• the watch does not have warranty card;
• the watch has been repaired by unauthorized service
center or person;
• the watch is not used in accordance with the Instructions
supplied in this User’s Manual.
The Warranty does not cover the watch-case, crystal, band,
bracelet and packing. If hidden faults are detected during the
warranty period, the watch can be

repaired at the warranty watch service shop marked by
your local distributor.
The right for warranty service is provided by the guarantee
certificate attached to the given warranty-card of your
watch.
The claims on watch replacement or repayment are
satisfied upon submission of the certificate from the
guarantee service.
