7. Cleaning
(1). Evaporator
In case well water sediment settles inside the evaporator, where it can form a
sludge, clean the evaporator by flushing it via its connectors (heat source inlet and
outlet).
(2). Condenser
In case of heat pump faults (e.g. high pressure limiter trips) through deposits of
corrosion products (rust sludge) inside the condenser, only dissolving them by
means of solvents used by our customer service will remove this problem.
(3). Dirt filter
After heat pump runs for 24 hours, the filter of water pump inlet must be clean;
Clean the dirt filter regularly, subject to the level of contamination of the well water.
Where heat meters are installed, frequently clean their sieves, which block easily.
8.Water quality standards
Unit fault caused by poor water quality can be broadly divided into: Corrosion
(condenser pipe broke down), scale (high-voltage accidents), and algae mud
(micro-organisms). Unit fault is serious particularly caused by poor ground water
quality, so no using groundwater absolutely. The problem of poor water quality listed
as follows:
8.1.Corrosion: Corrosion of metal will cause water leakage. If corrosion occurs in
the internal condenser, then cooling pipe will be cankered, The cooling pipes, even
the entire condenser need to be replaced. Besides, corrosion would lead to system
high pressure protection. Corrosion may be caused by several reasons.
A. Poor water quality can canker metal, the standard of water quality shown in the
table below.
B. Even if the water quality is good, it would will also canker metal once corrosion
happen.
C. The faster the flow rate, the sooner the metal corrosion, so cooling water must
follow the standard.
D. If the sand or dust entered into the cooling pipe, which accumulated will
accelerate corrosion.
E. Algal mud will also accelerate corrosion.
8.2.Scale: The scale on the inner surface which in the cooling pipe, not only
impede heat conduction directly, but also reduced the cooling water, high-pressure
switch stop finally. In addition, the scale will make condenser and cooling pipe
cankered, even pinhole. Scale may be caused by following reasons:
A. cooling water containing CaCO , SiO , Fe and other elements, after the cooling

water circulate a long time, the water evaporate, the concentration gradually
increased, exceeded solubility, elements deposit on the wall.
B. corrosion products remain in the tube.
C. algae mud flow into the tube by water.
D. sand and dust mix in the tube.
8.3.Algal mud: algae mud formed under the following conditions, food, proper
temperature, oxygen and sunlight (sunlight sometimes do not need), when the
cooling tower have suitable conditions for the formation of these microorganisms,
pipeline will be blocked or cankered quickly.
