Remote Programming
1. Have SR101 Remote Programmer or prepare a line with caller ID support (Client need
too) and preset the line numbers to Item *5.
2. Must installed SR101 while other dialer not support.
3. Have the client’s TEL. No. and Security password (Same as local programming used).
Remote Programmer and caller ID can be used together, in case of CID failed.
We don’t offer Remote Programmer if not authorized customer.
Details please refer to Remote programming manual offered when buy programmer.
Related Information …..
About Serial Number:
It’s a fixed 6 digits and non-repeat numbers e.g.:000198 where mark on dialer bottom. Please don’t
remove it otherwise will difficult to service in the future.
Usage Serial number:
1. Examine owner when service:
Please obtain invoice or any evidences if not purchase directly from us.
2. Examine line number when remote programming
Normally, a client may installed more than 2 lines and each line has it’s individual PIN code.
When you remote program and make call to your client that you will not clear to know which
line you reached especially Hunting Group lines. With this serial number you will clear to
know which line (dialer) you reached right now if you record it after installed.
You can read the serial number by add a SR101 programmer.
About Caller ID:
Caller ID (CID) is the incoming caller of telephone number send by client’s Telecom company. The ID
numbers send before actual ringing by DTMF or FSK signals. But SR101 can recognize DTMF
signals only.
SR101 also use CID to examine the caller for remote programming. This is quicker way and will not
disturb your clients.
But please note:
1. Not every client can obtain CID, it depends on the Telecom company. Also your client or caller
may disable it.
2. Different area may get different CID format this also caused of Telecom company. For example,
actual CID is 1234567 but some area get 02-1234567, some area get 2-12345678, even get 886
2 12345678.
Suggestion:
Test it by a Caller ID Display before install and programming SR101.

More Descriptions
Item #
DTMF duration time
Default 70mS is recommend value, but if difficult to make call success you may set DTMF duration
time longer.
FLASH TIME:
Some user use FLASH (generate a short time of on hook) to active its special feature e.g.
call waiting, holding …etc. When the on hook time great than dialer maintained release time
(default 100mS) then dialer will off line, so the special feature will not available. If so, please
change this setting to same as user used flash time.
Item *2#
Indicate Line polarity
Indicate line polarity by LED, unlike it just to turn off.
Send what code when insert [B] key
Some systems need extra DTMF code (ABCD). If do, please add [B] when programming then
define which code to dial out here.
Ringing inter-pause time.
Dialer use this time to decide when to return standby mode. If this time set to short than
actual inter-pause of ringing will caused dialer always switch standby and incoming before
answer. Also will caused can not to talks if answered. This time at Europe/China/ need 4
seconds.
How may seconds no signals as silence?
This effect value add network dialing only. Dialer use this time as system connected: if ever
detected a signal then go silence that means connected. Please know must great than inter-
pause time of ring back tone if have. Default is 3 seconds.
Some system no ring back tone to direct connect, you may set this time to 1 second.
Item *#
Connect line and phone after all dialed?
Connect line and phone same as plug out power that will not affect voice level, but will get a
light ‘click’ sound also may change line polarity depends on install.
Set to indirect connect will attenuate 6 dBm of voice but no ‘click’ and fix polarity.
Change line polarity just can be used for HOTEL: If digit 3 set #, the dialer will waiting a
DTMF signal (#ABC) to connect line & phone to reverse polarity (means start charging).
A diverted call can’t get proper polarity directly from system.
Glossaries
