IMPORTANT
During the first time installation to connect our LCD to the electric distribution network, installation person
must be cutting OFF all electricity supplied in advance: by switching down the fuse breaker inside
the host Power Utility Box (NOT TURNING OFF the power outlet switch). While live AC power grid is
always ready within your electric networks, we recommended there are no others transfer-switches
attached or improper devices installed within the same network; also the earth grounding procedure must
be employed to guaranty safety grounded connection to avoid electric-shock!!
The Open Wires Power Cord or type-G CEE 7/7 European Plug has been terminated in this mains
lead colored in accordance with the following code:
GREEN : Earth
BLUE : Neutral
BROWN : Live
As the colors of the open wires in the mains lead of this apparatus
may not correspond with the colored markings identifying the
terminals in your plug proceed as follows. The wire which is
colored GREEN must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked by the letter E or by the safety earth or colored
green or green-and-yellow. The wire which is colored BLUE must be connected to
the terminal which is marked with the letter N. The wire which is colored BROWN must
be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L. Ensure that your equipment is
connected correctly-if you are in any doubt consult a qualified electrician locally.

Incoming Inspection
Suntronic Outdoor LCDs are designed, built and packaged to withstand the shock and
vibration normally associated with shipment by common carriers. Occasionally improper
handling during shipping causes damage. Such handling could include unbanding of
palletized shipments, failing to respect "This Side Up" arrows, rough handling, falling
off conveyors, excessive vibration, crushing, etc. Therefore, a thorough inspection
should be done upon receipt of all shipments. Any carton tears, dents, scratches, loose
articles or evidence of oil are signs of damage and should be noted on the Freight Bill.
Cartons should be opened promptly and the units inspected for CONCEALED DAMAGE. Suntronic
Outdoor LCDs must be delivered in the proper mounting position to assure that damage
to the compressor has not occurred during shipping. Any Suntronic Outdoor LCDs that is
delivered removed from the banded pallet, lying down or double stacked should be refused.
An immediate claim MUST be filed with the freight carrier and an inspection requested.
Retain all packing materials. Suntronic cannot assume responsibility for Consignee's
failure to file a timely freight claim.

Suntronic LCD are twice as bright as indoor LCD. The sun, however delivers more than 30 times the
brightness. Therefore, it is important that you do not place the TV where the screen faces direct sunlight.
This will cause the image on the screen to be washed out.
Intense direct sunlight falling on the screen over an extended period of time may cause dark spots
to form on the screen image. This is a characteristic of LCD technology and is a temporary condition
that will go away after the screen is pointed away from the sun.
For optimum viewing, Suntronic recommends the following placement and installation guidelines.
1. Ideal placement is in an area where is shaded by tress, landscape and/or structures, or under a
patio cover or gazebo.
2. Suntronic recommends mounting the LCD on Suntronic's articulating; tilt and swivel wall mount so
the LCD screen can be turned away from the location of the sun (see Figure 1).
The articulating wall mount also allows the TV to be rotated away and angled down from any highly
reflective surfaces such as water, white walls, concrete, etc.
4. Important Note: In all instance, Suntronic must be installed at least 5 feet from water’s edge.
Placement and Installation Guidelines

Maintenance about LCD have no signal after power on.
Please check the power socket switch is turned on or not? And check all cablings are connected or
not? Such as: power cabling, AC input cabling, AD board power cabling, screen back light cabling,
LVDS cabling.
Abnormal color
Please check AD board LVDS screen cabling is properly connect or not? If there are other metal
hit the AD board? Is the AD board power supply normal? If they are no problem, it may be a bad
AD board, need to change it.
Screen dark
Please check and see if the brightness and contrast value setting on the OSD is lower? Entry the
AD board factory setting to see if the backlight value is low? (This value can be modified by engineer
only, not by customer.) If it’s not this problem, maybe the AD board is broken; If change another
AD board still invalid, maybe the screen is broken.
LCD have voice, but no signal
Please check and see if the input signal connection is proper? Is the signal machine setting proper?
Is the AD board panel chosen properly? Check and see if the LCD is mute? Check it by press the mute
key on the remote control; check the machine system voice setting; if not their problem, need to
change the AD board.
LCD have signal, but no voice
Please check and see if the signal input cabling connection is proper? Is the signal instrument and
AD board volume set to the minimum? Does the speaker cabling connect to the AD board voice output
socket properly? Is the speaker normal? If not their problem, need to change the AD board.
Can’t use the remote control
Please check if the remote control is normal(Just the remote control, not LCD)? Do two batteries
have power? Is remote control deviated angle is too big? Are there barriers between the LCD and
remote control? Is the remote control board in the LCD normal? Does remote control board connect
to AD board? If not their problem, need to change the AD board.
Screen display abnormally
Please check and see if it chooses the proper screen rate? (Full screen 16:9/ rate setting 4:3)
Turn on/off the LCD Regularly
Please check the Fan is work? Make sure the LCD temperature below 60 degrees. Does the temperature
sensor connect properly? If no their problem, the temperature is broken need to change.
Can’t turn on the LCD
Please check and see if the light on the remote control work or not? 1. If light on, use the remote
control can’t turn on the LCD, need to change the AD board. 2. If not light on, check and see if
the AD board power supply cabling connection is proper? Dose the power supply properly? Check if
the LCD power connect to the power socket? Dose the power switch turn on? Unplug the plug, and wait
for 10 seconds; connect to the power socket and turn on the LCD again. If not these problem, it must
be the problem of power board.
Turning on and using normally, then black screen
Once the screen changes black, first check if there is red LED light flashing on the remote control
board. If yes, it means the LCD temperature is higher the temperature sensor turn to protection state.
If the fan in the LCD is broken, need to change it. If the AC doesn’t cooling, change it. If not
these problem, means the temperature sensor breakdown, change it with same part no.

TROUBLESHOOTING
General
A general guide to troubleshooting a flat panel display system it is worth considering the system as separate elements, such as:
> Controller (jumpers, PC settings)
> Panel (controller, cabling, connection, panel, PC settings)
> Backlight (inverter, cabling, backlight tubes)
> Cabling
> Computer system (display settings, operating system)
Through step by step cross checking with instruction manuals and a process of elimination to isolate the problem it is usually
possible to clearly identify the problem area.
No image:
> If the panel backlight is not working it may still be possible to just see some image on the display.
> A lack of image is most likely to be caused by incorrect connection, lack of power, failure to provide a signal or incorrect
graphic card settings.
Image position:
If it is impossible to position the image correctly, i.e. the image adjustment controls will not move the image far enough, then test
using another graphics card. This situation can occur with a custom graphics card that is not close to standard timings or if
something is in the graphics line that may be affecting the signal such as a signal splitter (please note that normally a signal
splitter will not have any adverse effect).
Image appearance:
> A faulty panel can have blank lines, failed sections, flickering or flashing display
> Incorrect graphics card refresh rate, resolution or interlaced mode will probably cause the image to be the wrong size, to
scroll, flicker badly or possibly even no image.
> Incorrect jumper settings on the controller may cause everything from total failure to incorrect image. CAUTION: Do not set
the panel power input incorrectly.
> Sparkling on the display: faulty panel signal cable.
Backlight:
Items to check include: Power input, Controls, Inverter and Tubes generally in this order. If
half the screen is dimmer than the other half:
> Check cabling for the inverter.
> For a specific backlight tube check theAC pins orientation (CAUTION: Never reverse any DC power pins).
Also:
> If adjusting brightness control has no effect the chances are that the VR rating or method of adjusting brightness is not
compatible or correctly connected to the inverter.
> If system does not power down when there is a loss of signal
Continued failure:
If unit after unit keeps failing consider and investigate whether you are short circuiting the equipment or doing something else
seriously wrong.
Generally after common sense issues have been resolved we recommend step by step substitution of known working parts to
isolate the problem.
