NORMAS GENERALES DE SEGURIDAD
Este ATORNILLADOR RECARGABLE tiene ca-
racterísticas que harán su trabajo más rápido
y fácil. Seguridad, comodidad y confiabilidad
fueron previstos como prioridad para el diseño
del mismo, haciendo más fácil su operación.
ADVERTENCIA: Lea todas las advertencias
de seguridad y todas las instrucciones. La omi-
sión de alguna de las advertencias e instruccio-
nes que se enlistan a continuación puede dar
como resultado un choque eléctrico, fuego y/o
un serio daño.
CONSERVE TODAS LAS ADVERTENCIAS Y
TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES.
SEGURIDAD EN EL ÁREA DE TRABAJO
Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien ilu-
minada. Las áreas desordenadas y oscuras pro-
vocan accidentes.
No maneje herramientas eléctricas en atmós-
feras explosivas, tales como en presencia de
líquidos inflamables, gases o polvo. Las herra-
mientas eléctricas crean chispas que pueden
encender el polvo o los humos.
Mantenga alejados a los niños y curiosos
mientras maneja una herramienta eléctrica.
Las distracciones pueden causarle la pérdida
del control.
SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA
La clavija de la herramienta eléctrica debe
coincidir con receptáculo. No modificar nunca
la clavija de ninguna manera. No usar ningún
adaptador de clavijas con herramientas eléctri-
cas puestas a tierra. Clavijas no modificadas y
bases coincidentes reducirán el riesgo de cho-
que eléctrico.
Evite el contacto del cuerpo con superficies
puestas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores, co-
cinas eléctricas y refrigeradores. Hay un riesgo
aumentado de choque eléctrico si su cuerpo
está puesto a tierra.
No exponga las herramientas eléctricas a la llu-
via o a condiciones de humedad. El agua que
entre en la herramienta aumentará el riesgo
de choque eléctrico.
No abuse del cable. No usar nunca el cable para
llevar, levantar o desenchufar la herramienta
eléctrica. Mantenga el cable lejos del calor,
aceite, cantos vivos o piezas en movimiento.
Los cables dañados o enredados aumentan el
riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Cuando maneje una herramienta eléctrica en
el exterior, use una prolongación de cable ade-
cuada para uso en el exterior. El uso de una
prolongación de cable adecuada para uso en el
exterior reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico.

EXTENSIONES DE CABLE
NOTA: El uso de cables dañados incrementa el
riesgo de descargas eléctricas o quemaduras.
Si es necesario un cable de extensión, debe ser
usado un cable con el tamaño adecuado de los
conductores. La tabla de la siguiente página,
muestra el tamaño correcto para usar depen-
diendo en la longitud del cable y el rango de
amperaje especificado en la etiqueta de valo-
res nominales del producto. Si está en duda,
use el rango próximo más grande.
Siempre use cables de extensión listados en UL,
CSA ó NOM.
TAMAÑOS RECOMENDADOS DE EXTENSIONES
DE CABLE:
Cuando esté usando el producto afuera, use
una extensión para exteriores marcadas con lo
siguiente: “WA” o “W”. Estas extensiones están
pensadas para trabajar en exteriores y reducen
el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
Esté alerta, vigile lo que está haciendo y use el
sentido común cuando maneje una herramien-
ta eléctrica. No use una herramienta eléctrica
cuando esté cansado o bajo la influencia de

drogas, alcohol o medicamentos. Un momento
de distracción mientras maneja herramientas
eléctricas puede causar un daño personal serio.
Use equipo de seguridad. Lleve siempre pro-
tección para los ojos. La utilización para las
condiciones apropiadas de un equipo de segu-
ridad tal como mascarilla antipolvo, zapatos no
resbaladizos, gorro duro, o protección para los
oídos reducirá los daños personales.
Evite un arranque accidental. Asegúrese de
que el interruptor está en posición apagado
antes de conectar a la red y/o a la batería, co-
ger o transportar la herramienta. Transportar
herramientas eléctricas con el dedo sobre el
interruptor o enchufar herramientas eléctricas
que tienen en interruptor en posición encendi-
do invita a accidentes.
Retire llaves o herramienta antes de arrancar
la herramienta eléctrica. Una llave o herra-
mienta dejada unida a una pieza rotativa de
una herramienta eléctrica puede causar un
daño personal.
No se sobrepase. Mantenga los pies bien asen-
tados sobre el suelo y conserve el equilibrio en
todo momento. Esto permite un mejor control
de la herramienta eléctrica en situaciones in-
esperadas.
Vista adecuadamente. No vista ropa suelta o
joyas. Mantenga su pelo, su ropa y guantes
alejados de las piezas en movimiento. La ropa
suelta, las joyas o el pelo largo pueden ser co-
gidos en las piezas en movimiento.
Si hay dispositivos para la conexión de medios
de extracción y recolección de polvo, asegúre-
se de que éstos estén conectados y se usen co-
rrectamente. El uso de estos dispositivos puede
reducir los peligros relacionados con el polvo.
IMPORTANTE: Este aparato no se destina
para utilizarse por personas (incluyendo niños)
cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales o menta-
les sean diferentes o estén reducidas, o carez-
can de experiencia o conocimiento, a menos
que dichas personas reciban una supervisión o
capacitación para el funcionamiento del apa-
rato por una persona responsable de su segu-
ridad. Los niños deben supervisarse para ase-
gurar que ellos no empleen los aparatos como
juguete.
UTILIZACIÓN Y CUIDADOS DE LAS
HERRAMIENTAS ELÉCTRICAS
No fuerce la herramienta eléctrica. Use la he-
rramienta eléctrica correcta para su aplicación.
La herramienta eléctrica correcta hará el tra-
bajo mejor y más seguro al ritmo para la que
fue concebida.
No use la herramienta eléctrica si el interrup-
tor no gira “encendido” y “apagado”. Cual-
quier herramienta eléctrica que no pueda con-
trolarse con el interruptor es peligrosa y debe
repararse.
Desenchufe la clavija de la fuente de alimen-
tación y/o de la batería antes de efectuar
cualquier ajuste, cambio de accesorios, o de
almacenar las herramientas eléctricas. Tales
medidas preventivas de seguridad reducen el
riesgo de arrancar la herramienta accidental-
mente.
Almacene las herramientas eléctricas inactivas
fuera del alcance de los niños y no permita el
manejo de la herramienta eléctrica a personas
no familiarizadas con las herramientas o con
estas instrucciones. Las herramientas eléctricas
son peligrosas en manos de usuarios no entre-
nados.
Mantenga las herramientas eléctricas. Com-
pruebe que las partes móviles no estén des-
alineadas o trabadas, que no haya piezas ro-
tas u otras condiciones que puedan afectar la
operación de las herramientas eléctricas. Las
herramientas eléctricas se reparan antes de su
uso, cuando están dañadas. Muchos acciden-
tes son causados por herramientas eléctricas
pobremente mantenidas.
Mantenga las herramientas de corte afiladas y
limpias. Las herramientas de corte mantenidas
correctamente con los bordes de corte afilados
son menos probables de trabarse y más fáciles
de controlar.
Use la herramienta eléctrica, accesorios y pun-
tas de herramienta, etc. de acuerdo con estas
instrucciones y de la manera prevista para el
tipo particular de herramienta eléctrica, te-
niendo en cuenta las condiciones de trabajo
y el trabajo a desarrollar. El uso de la herra-
mienta eléctrica para aplicaciones diferentes
de las previstas podría causar una situación de
peligro.

SERVICIO
Haga revisar su herramienta eléctrica por un
servicio de reparación calificado usando sola-
mente piezas de reemplazo idénticas. Esto ga-
rantizará que la seguridad de la herramienta
eléctrica se mantiene.

REGLAS ADICIONALES DE SEGURIDAD PARA
TALADROS A BATERÍA
• No haga presión en la herramienta de tal
forma que disminuya la fuerza del motor. Para
obtener mejores resultados, y para alargar la
vida de la broca, permita que realice los cortes
sin presión.
• Solamente utilice accesorios que estén en
buenas condiciones.
• Sostenga la herramienta por las partes aisla-
das cuando realice cualquier operación donde
la herramienta tenga contacto con cables es-
condidos. El contacto con cualquier cable
“vivo“ harán que las partes metálicas de la he-
rramienta se electrifiquen.
• Compruebe que hay suciente espacio para
la broca en la pieza de trabajo ante de iniciar
a taladrar.
• Cuando encienda el taladro, permita que la
punta gire en vacío unos segundos antes de
realizar la aplicación. Observe si hay vibración
o movimiento que podría indicar una deficien-
te instalación del accesorio.
• No se distraiga durante la operación, apague
su herramienta antes de enfocar su atención
en otra tarea.
• Verique periódicamente que no haya torni-
llos o partes sueltas en el taladro.
• Asegúrese que tenga una luz adecuada para
tener una buena observación de la operación.
• Mantenga el área de trabajo libre de riesgos
de tropiezos.
• Asegure el material que será perforado.
Nunca lo sostenga con las manos o contra al-
guna parte de su cuerpo.
• No use puntas o brocas, encorvadas o daña-
das.
• Mantenga las manos lejos de las partes móviles.
• Siempre utilice lentes de seguridad y una
máscara anti-polvo cuando perfore, especial-
mente cuando realice perforaciones sobre el
nivel de su cabeza.
• No toque la pieza de trabajo inmediatamen-
te después de la operación. Esta puede estar
extremadamente caliente y podría quemarlo.
REGLAS ADICIONALES DE SEGURIDAD PARA EL
CARGADOR
• Antes de utilizar el cargador, lea este instruc-
tivo y todas las reglas de seguridad indicadas
en las etiquetas del cargador y en el paquete
de baterías.
• Solo cargue la batería en interiores, ya que
tanto las baterías como el cargador no están
diseñadas para usos a la intemperie.
PELIGRO: Si la batería se encuentra rota o
dañada, no la coloque en el cargador. Puede
correr peligro de una descarga eléctrica o cho-
que electrico.
PRECAUCION: No permita que ningún li-
quido entre en contacto con el cargador. Hay
riesgo de un choque eléctrico.
• El cargador no fue diseñado para trabajar
con ningún otra batería más que la que se su-
ministró con este cargador. Cualquier otro uso
puede resultar en el riesgo de incendio, cho-
que eléctrico o electrocución.
• El cargador y la batería fueron diseñados
para trabajar juntos. No intente cargar las ba-
terías con algún otro cargador.
• No deje ningún objeto encima del cargador
ya que puede causar sobrecalentamiento. No
deje el cargador cerca de cualquier fuente de
calor.
• Para desconectar el cargador jale de la clavija,
no del cable.
• Asegurese que el cable no quede posicionado
donde lo puedan pisar, tropezar con él o don-
de quede sujeto a daño o estrés.
• No use una extensión a menos que sea abso-
lutamente necesario. El uso de una inapropia-
da extensión puede causar riesgo de incendio,
choque eléctrico o electrocución.
• No utilize el cargador si ha recibido un gol-
pe fuerte, una caida o cualquier otro tipo de
daño. Lleve el cargador a un centro de servicio
autorizado para su evaluación o reparación.
• No desarme el cargador. Llévelo a un centro
de servicio autorizado cuando requiera una
reparación o darle mantenimiento. Un mal en-
samble puede resultar en riesgo de incendio,
choque eléctrico y electrocución.
• Para reducir el riesgo de un choque eléctrico,
desenchufe el cargador de cualquier fuente de
alimentación.

• El cargador está diseñado para una corrien-
te eléctrica estándar. No intente conectar el
cargador a otra fuente de energía con voltaje
diferente.
• No abuse del cable ni del cargador. Nunca use
el cable para transportar el cargador, no jale
del cable para desconectarlo, el daño en el ca-
ble o en el cargador puede hacer que ocurran
riesgos de un choque eléctrico. Reemplace el
cable dañado de inmediato.
• No deje que productos como la gasolina,
aceites o productos a base de petróleo etc.,
entren en contacto con las partes plásticas del
cargador ya que contienen químicos que pue-
den dañar, debilitar y destruir el plástico.
REGLAS ADICIONALES DE SEGURIDAD PARA
LA BATERÍA
• DEJE QUE SU BATERÍA SE DESCARGUE POR
COMPLETO. Las baterías Ni-Cd deben de car-
garse y descargarse por completo después de
cada uso. Las primeras recargas son vitales para
la vida y funcionamiento de su batería así que
se recomienda que estén completamente des-
cargadas antes de ponerla a cargar.
• Siempre cargue la batería cuando la tempe-
ratura esté entre 0 a 40ºC. No cargue la batería
cuando la temperatura esté bajo 0ºC o arriba
de los 50ºC. Esto es importante. El no seguir
estás reglas de seguridad puede causar daños
serios a las baterías.
• No incinere las baterías incluso si estas se en-
cuentran seriamente dañadas o ya no retienen
carga. Las baterias pueden explotar.
• Un derrame del líquido de la batería puede
ocurrir bajo un uso o temperatura extrema.
Esto no necesariamente indicará una falla de
la batería. Sin embargo si el sello de la batería
esta roto, presenta derrames y tiene contacto
con su piel, siga los siguientes pasos:
· Lave el área afectada rápidamente con agua
y jabón.
· Neutralice el líquido con ácido suave como,
jugo de limón o vinagre.
Si el líquido de la batería hace contacto con sus
ojos:
· Lávese los ojos con abundante agua durante
un mínimo de 10 minutos y busque inmediata-
mente atención medica. Mencione a los medi-
cos que el líquido es de una batería de niquel
cadmio.
• Nunca intente abrir las baterias por ningún
motivo. Si el empaque plástico de las baterias
se rompe, se abre o se estrella, deje de usarlas
inmediatamente y no las recargue.
• No almacene o lleve la batería dentro de un
bolsillo, caja de herramientas o cualquier otro
lugar donde pueda tener contacto con objetos
de metal. La batería puede sufrir corto circuito
causando daños, o incendio. Si va a almacenar
la batería cubra las terminales con cinta aislan-
te de uso rudo, y así evitará que ocurra un cor-
to circuito. Cuando las baterías se almacenan
por un largo tiempo, se descargan.
• No almacene o use la herramienta con la ba-
tería en lugares donde la temperatura alcance
o exceda los 50ºC, así como estructuras de me-
tal durante el verano.
• Permita que la batería se enfríe después de
cargala. No la coloque en ambientes calientes
o directamente al sol.
• Solo cargue la batería con el cargador que
viene en el empaque.
CARACTERÍSTICAS
CONOZCA SU HERRAMIENTA
Antes de intentar usar este producto, familiarí-
cese con todas sus características de operación
y requerimientos de seguridad.

CARGA INICIAL DE LA BATERÍA
El paquete de la batería de esta herramienta
ha sido empacado con un nivel bajo de carga
para evitar posibles problemas. Por lo tanto,
deberá cargarlo al máximo como se indican en
las instrucciones de carga.
PARA CARGAR
Después de un uso normal, se requieren 3 ho-
ras de tiempo de carga para recargar totalmen-
te la batería. Se requerirá de un mínimo de 6
horas de carga para cargar una pila completa-
mente descargada.
NOTA: El paquete de la batería se calentará li-
geralmente durante la carga. Esto es normal y
no indica que exista un problema.
1. Para comenzar a recargar, retirar la batería
de la herramienta presionando los seguros a
cada lado y tirando de ella.
2. Instalar la batería
en el cargador asegu-
rando que los polos
positivo (+) y negati-
vo (-) en ambos coin-
cidan. Las fotos a la
derecha muestran la
forma correcta de ins-
talar la batería con el
cargador.
3. Compruebe que el
voltaje sea correcto,
consulte la etiqueta
de datos técnicos del
producto.
NOTA: La batería en-
cajará en el cargador
en ambas posiciones,
asi que cerciórese de
la posición correcta de
carga.
INSERTANDO Y REMOVIENDO
LOS ACCESORIOS
ADVERTENCIA: Retire la batería y coloque
el botón de avance/retroceso en la posición
neutral cuando instale o quite los accesorios.
El colocar el selector de dirección de rotación
en la posición neutral hará que se apague la
corriente que va al taladro.
PARA INSTALAR
Gire el broquero sin lla-
ve en dirección de las
manecillas del reloj para
aflojar el portabrocas,
inserte la punta o cual-
quier otro accesorio en
el broquero y cierre las
mandibulas girando en sentido contrario de
las manecillas del reloj. Asegúrese que el bro-
quero sujete bien el accesorio y se encuentre
totalmente apretado.
PARA DESINSTALAR
Para quitar la punta o accesorio, gire el bro-
quero sin llave en dirección opuesta a las ma-
necillas del reloj para aflojar el portabrocas y
así pueda sacar el accesorio.
CONTROL DE CAMBIO DE GIRO
El control de cambio de giro determina la di-
rección de rotación de la herramienta.
Para seleccionar la ro-
tación hacia adelante,
suelte el interruptor de
operación y pulse el con-
trol de cambio de giro
hacia la derecha.
Para seleccionar reversa,
presione el control de
cambio de giro hacia la izquierda.
La posición central del control bloquea el gati-
llo en la posición de apagado.
ADVERTENCIA: Al cambiar la posición giro,
asegúrese de que el interruptor se libere/aoje
y el motor este parado.
AJUSTE DEL TORQUE
Su taladro está equipado
con un embrague varia-
ble, el cual es operado
con un anillo de torsión
ajustable.
Una vez ajustado, el mo-
tor funcionará a un tor-
que predeterminado, esto evita un atornillado
demasiado profundo o daños a su taladro.
El torque de ajuste varía con el tipo de tornillo
utilizado y el material de trabajo. Siempre co-
mienze a operar con un torque bajo y aumen-
telo gradualmente para lograr la operación
adecuada.

Seleccione el torque deseado girando el anillo
de selección de torque.
FUNCIONES; TALADRO / ATORNILLADOR
Este taladro cuenta con 2 modalidades de tra-
bajo; taladro y atornillado.
Para seleccionar cualquiera de las funciones,
gire el anillo de selección hasta que el simbolo
deseado quede alineado con el selector de la
carcasa.
Este símbolo “ “ indica la posición de TA-
LADRO. Use este modo para un taladrado rápi-
do (en materiales suaves). El embrague estará
bloqueado.
Para volver a trabajar en el modo de ATORNI-
LLADO seleccione cualquier posición de tor-
que.
INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
INTERRUPTOR DE ENCENDIDO/APAGADO
Sostenga firmemente la herramienta para con-
trolar la sacudida que se genera al encender.
Para prolongar la vida de la herramienta no la
sobrecargue. Encienda la herramienta presio-
nando el interruptor de encendido. Para apa-
gar la herramienta, suelte el interruptor de
operación.
Esta herramienta cuenta con un interruptor de
velocidad variable y torque, el cual se activa
presionando el interruptor.
La característica de velocidad variable es parti-
cularmente útil cuando utilice el modo de ator-
nillado. Esto le permite seleccionar la mejor ve-
locidad para una operación particular.
NOTA: Es recomendable que utilice la veloci-
dad variable por un corto tiempo. No opere
continuamente en diferentes velocidades ya
que podría dañar el interruptor.
ATORNILLANDO
NOTA: Trate de utilizar accesorios de última ge-
neración para un mejor atornillado.
· Instale la punta o accesorio correcto.
• Asegúrese de ajustar el torque, establezca el
ajuste más adecuado.
• Utilice una velocidad correcta para el tra-
bajo, aplique una presión mínima al iniciar la
operación. Sólo aumente la velocidad cuando
mantenga un pleno control de la herramienta.
• Es aconsejable perforar primero un agujero
piloto que sea ligeramente más largo y más pe-
queño que el diámetro del vástago del tornillo
que sera montado. El agujero piloto actuará
como una guía para el tornillo y también hara
el atornillado menos difícil.
• Cuando los tornillos se colocan cerca del bor-
de en un material, un agujero piloto también
ayudará a prevenir que la madera se quiebre.
• Utilice un avellanador para acomodar la ca-
beza del tornillo a fin de que este no sobresal-
ga de la superficie de la pieza de trabajo.
Si se le complica manejar el tornillo, remuéva-
lo e intente colocarlo con un agujero un poco
más grande o mas largo, recuerde que debe de
haber suficiente material para que el tornillo
se agarre. Si coloca nuevamente un tornillo en
un agujero, coloquelo y realice los primeros
roscados a mano. Si todavía se le complica co-
locar el tornillo (como cuando se utilizan ma-
deras muy duras) trate de usar un lubricante,
como jabón; el jabón líquido suele ser mejor.
Mantenga suficiente presión sobre el taladro
para evitar que la broca salga de la cabeza del
tornillo. La cabeza del tornillo puede dañarse
fácilmente lo que hará más dificil conducirlo,
o incluso sacarlo.
PERFORANDO AGUJEROS
ATENCIÓN: Al intentar perforar un agujero
de mayor diámetro, a veces es mejor comen-
zar con una broca pequeña luego trabajar una
gama hasta llegar al tamaño requerido. Esto
evitara sobrecargar el taladro.
• Ajuste la herramienta en función de TALADRO.
NOTA: Recuerde que debe utilizar una broca
de acción profunda sobre los agujeros para
permitir que la viruta sea expulsada del agu-
jero.
Si la broca se atora durante la operación, apa-
gue la herramienta de inmediato para evitar
daños permanentes. Trate de operar el taladro
en sentido inverso para remover la broca atas-
cada.
• Mantenga el taladro alineado a el agujero. La
broca deberá entrar en ángulo recto durante
la operación. Si el ángulo es cambiado durante
la perforación, esto podría causar que la broca
se rompa bloqueando el agujero y causando
posibles lesiones.

• Reduzca la presión cuando el taladro está a
punto de avanzar más en la pieza de trabajo.
• No force el taladro, deje que el trabajo fun-
cione a su propio ritmo.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Your CORDLESS SCREWDRIVER has many fea-
tures that will make your job faster and easier.
Safety, performance and reliability have been
given top priority in the design of this tool,
qualities to make easy to maintain and to op-
erate.
WARNING: Read and understand all in-
structions. Failure to follow all indications list-
ed below, may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
SAFETY IN WORKING AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clut-
tered benches and dark areas may cause acci-
dents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmo-
spheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Some power tools create
sparks which may provoke fire.
Keep away observers, children and visitors
while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
ELECTRIC SAFETY
Double insulation eliminates the need for the
three wire grounded power cord and ground-
ed power supply system.
Avoid the body contact with grounded surfac-
es such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is grounded.
Don’t expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions. The precense of water into power tools
will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse of the power cord. Never use the
power cord to carry the tool and do not pull
the plug off the outlet. Keep the cable away of
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outside, use an
outdoor extension cord marked “W-A” or “W”.
These cords are rated for outdoor use and re-
duce the risk of electric shock.
EXTENSION CORDS
Replace damaged cords immediately. The use
of damaged cords can shock, burn or electric
shock. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord
with adequate size conductors should be used
to prevent excessive voltage drop, loss of pow-
er or overheating. The table below shows the
correct size to use, depending on cord length
and nameplate amperage rating of tools. In
case of doubt use the next heavier gauge. Al-
ways use UL listed extension cords.

PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool.
Don’t use the tool if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of unattention while operating pow-
er tools may cause a serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Contain long hair. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away of moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
Avoid an accidental starting. Be sure that the
switch is OFF before plugging in. Carrying
tools with the finger on the switch or plug in
the tool switch in ON may cause accidents.
Remove the adjusting keys or wrenches be-
fore turning the tool on. A wrench or a key
that is left close to a rotating part of the tool
may provoke a personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times. Proper footing and bal-
ance enables better control of the tools on un-
expected situations.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye pro-
tection. Dust mask, nonskid safety shoes, hard
hat, or hearing protection must be used for ap-
propriate conditions.
Before connecting the tool to a power source
(receptacle, outlet, etc.) be sure that the volt-
age supplied is the same as that one specified
on the nameplate of the tool. To use a not
specified voltage may cause a serious injury to
the user as well as damage the tool.

TOOL USE AND CARE
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
tool for the application. The correct tool will
do the job better and more safely at the rate
that it was designed to work at.
Do not use tools if switch does not turn it on or
off. Any tool that cannot be controlled whith
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source
before making any adjustments, changing ac-
cessories or storing the tool. This preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of accidental
starting of the tool.
When the power tool is not in use, store it out
of the reach of children, and do not allow in-
dividuals who are not familiar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate it. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands on untrained
users.
Maintain the power tool. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, broken parts,
and any other condition that may affect the
operation of the power tool. If it is damaged,
have it repaired before using. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Check for misalignment or bonding of moving
parts, breakage parts, and any other condition
that may affect the tools operation. If you find
a damaged tool, take it to service before use it.
Use only accessories that are recommended by
the manufacturer of your model. Suitable ac-
cessories for one tool, may become hazardous

Keep cutting tools, sharpened and clean. Cut-
ting tools in good condition with sharpened
edges, are less likely to stuck in workpieces or
easier to control.

able, such a thermal and diferential switch
when you are using an electric equipment.

Tool service must be perfomed only by quali-
fied repair personnel. Service or maintenance
performed by unqualified personnel could re-
sult in a risk of injury.

SAFETY RULES FOR HAMMER DRILLS
• Do not put pressure on the drill to the extent
that it slows down the motor. For better re-
sults, and to lengthen the life of the drill, allow
the drill bit to cut without pressure.
• Only use accessories that are in optimal con-
dition.
• Hold the tool by its insulated gripping sur-
faces when performing any operation where
the tool may contact hidden wiring or its own
cord. Contact with a “live” wire will make ex-
posed metal parts of the tool “live”, and shock
the operator.
• Check that there is sufcient clearance for the
drill bit under the workpiece before drilling.
• When starting the cordless hammer drill, let
the drill run for a few seconds before using it
on a workpiece. Watch for vibration or wob-
bling that could indicate poor installation of
an accessory.
• Don’t get distracted while operating, stop
the cordless hammer drill before turning your
attention to other tasks.
• If possible, always use clamps or a vise to hold
the work.
• Ensure that the lighting is adequate to see
the operation.
• Keep the work area free of tripping hazards.
• Secure the material that is being drilled. Nev-
er hold it in your hand or across your hand or
across your legs.
• Do not use damaged or bowed drill bits.
• Keep hands away from rotating parts.
• Always wear safety goggles and a dust mask
when drilling, especially when drilling above
the level of your head.
• Watch out for ying sparks. Hold the tool so
that any sparks will fly away from the operator
and other persons. Keep all flammable materi-
als away when using this drill.
• Do not touch the workpiece immediately
after operation. It may be extremely hot, and
could burn the skin.

SAFETY RULES FOR CHARGER
• Before using the charger, read all the instruc-
tions and cautionary markings on the charger
and battery pack as well as the instructions on
the battery pack.
• Only charge your battery pack indoors as the
charger is designed for indoor use only.
DANGER: If the battery pack is cracked or
damaged in any other way, do not insert it in
the charging base. There is a danger of electric
shock or electrocution.
WARNING: Do not allow any liquid to come
into contact with the charger. There is a dan-
ger of electric shock.
• The charger is not intended for any use other
than charging the exact type of rechargeable
battery pack as supplied with the charger. Any
other use may result in the risk of fire, electric
shock or electrocution.
• The charger and battery pack supplied with it
are specifically designed to work together. Do
not attempt to charge the battery pack with
any other charger than the one supplied.
• Do not place any object on top of the charger
as it could cause overheating. Do not place the
charger near any heat source.
• Pull on the plug to disconnect it from the
power source. Do not pull on the lead.
• Make sure that the charger lead is positioned
where it will not be stepped on, tripped over
or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
• Do not use an extension cord unless it is abso-
lutely necessary. The use of an improper exten-
sion cord could cause the risk of fire, electric
shock or electrocution.
• Do not use the charger if it has been sub-
jected to a heavy knock, dropped or otherwise
damaged in any way. Take the charger to an
authorized service center for a check or repair.
• Do not disassemble the charger. Take it to
an authorized service center when service or
repair is required. Incorrect re-assembly may
result in the risk of fire, electric shock or elec-
trocution.
• To reduce the risk of an electric shock, un-
plug the charger from the power supply before
attempting to clean it. Removing the battery
pack alone does not reduce the risk.
• The charger is designed for use from a stan-
dard household electrical supply. Do not at-
tempt to connect the charger to a supply with
a different voltage.
• Do not abuse cord or charger. Never use the
cord to carry the charger. Do not pull the char-
ger cord rather than the plug when discon-
necting from receptacle. Damage to the cord
or charger could occur and create an electric
shock hazard. Replace damaged cords imme-
diately.
• Do not let gasoline, oils, petroleum-based
products, etc. come in contact with plastic
parts. They contain chemicals that can damage,
weaken or destroy plastic.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR BATTERY
PACK
• ALLOW YOUR BATTERY TO COMPLETELY DIS-
CHARGE. Ni-Cd batteries should always be fully
charged and discharged after each use. The
first few charges are vital and it is very impor-
tant that batteries are fully discharged during
the first few charges.
• To ensure the longest battery life and best
battery performance, always charge the bat-
tery when the temperature is between 0~40°C.
Do not charge the battery pack when the tem-
perature is below 0°C, or above 50°C. This is
important. Failure to observe this safety rule
could cause serious damage to the battery
pack.
• Do not incinerate the battery pack even if it
is seriously damaged or can no longer hold a
charge. The battery pack can explode in a fire.
• A small leakage of liquid from the battery
pack may occur under extreme usage or tem-
perature. This does not necessarily indicate a
failure of the battery pack. However, if the
outer seal is broken and this leakage comes
into contact with your skin:
· Wash the affected area quickly with soap and
water.
· Neutralise the liquid with a mild acid such as
lemon juice or vinegar.
If the leakage gets in your eyes:
· Flush your eyes with clean water for a mini-
mum of 10 minutes and seek immediate medi-
cal attention. Inform the medical staff that the
liquid is from a Ni-Cd battery.
• Never attempt to open the battery pack for
any reason. If the plastic housing of the bat-
tery pack breaks open or cracks, immediately
discontinue its use and do not recharge it.

• Do not store or carry a spare battery pack in a
pocket or toolbox or any other place where it
may come into contact with metal objects. The
battery pack may be short circuited causing
damage to the battery pack, burns or a fire. If
storing or disposing the battery pack, cover the
terminals with a heavy insulation tape to en-
sure short circuit cannot occur. Batteries, when
stored for a long period of time, will discharge.
• Do not store or use the tool and battery pack
in locations where the temperature may reach
or exceed 50°C such as alongside sheds or met-
al structures in the summer.
• Allow the battery pack to cool down after
charging. Do not place it in a hot environment
such as a metal shed or open trailer left in the
sun.
• Only charge the battery with the charger sup-
plied.

familiar with all of its operating features and
safety requirements.

INITIAL CHARGE OF THE DRILL
The package of the battery has been sent with
a low charge level to avoid possible problems.
Therefore, you will have top charge it at least
for 6 hours before beginning to use it.
TO CHARGE
After a normal use, it requires 3 hours of time
of charge to recharge the battery totally. A
minimum of 6 hours of charge is required to
load a totally discharged battery.
NOTE: The battery package will get lightly
warm during the load. This is normal and it
does not indicate that exists a problem.
DO NOT PLACE the charger in a very hot or
cold place. The charger works better at normal
temperatures.

WARNING: Remove the battery pack and
set the forward/reverse control to the locked
center position when installing or removing
bits to prevent accidental starting.

Turn the keyless chuck

TO REMOVE
To remove the bit or accessory, turn the keyless
chuck counter-clockwise direction to loosen
the collet, and then get the bit out.
FORWARD/REVERSE CONTROL
The forward/reverse control determines the di-
rection of rotation of the tool.
To select forward rota-
tion, release the trigger
switch and push the for-
ward/reverse control to
the right side of the tool.
To select reverse, push
the forward/reverse con-
trol to the left side of
the tool.
The center position of the control locks the
trigger in the off position
WARNING: When changing the position of
the control, make sure the trigger is released
and the motor is stationary.
TORQUE ADJUSTMENT
COLLAR
Your drill is fitted with
a variable clutch, which
is operated with the
torque adjustment ring.
Once adjusted, the clutch
will work at a predeter-
mined torque; this avoids screwing too deeply
or damaging your drill. Torque adjustment var-
ies with the types of screw used and the work-
ing material. Always start using a low torque
and increase gradually to achieve suitable op-
eration.Select the desired operating torque by
turning the torque adjusting ring to the appro-
priate setting.
FUNCTION SELECTOR;
DRILL / SCREWDRIVER
Two working modes are available on this tool:
drilling and screwdriving.
To select any of the modes, rotate the function
collar to the symbol until it aligns with the in-
dicator on the housing.
This symbol “ ” indicates the DRILL POSI-
TION. Use this mode for high speed drilling
(soft materials). The clutch will be locked.
To work in the SCREWDRIVER mode simply se-
lect a torque number.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
Hold the tool firmly to control the twisting of
the tool.
To prolong the life of the tool never overload
it. Start the tool by squeezing the variable
speed trigger switch. Release the trigger to
stop the tool.
This tool has a variable speed switch that de-
livers higher speed and torque with increased
trigger pressure. Speed is controlled by the
amount of switch trigger depression.
The variable speed feature is particularly use-
ful when driving screws. It also enables you to
select the best speed for a particular applica-
tion.
NOTE: It is recommended to use the variable
speed feature for a short time only. Do not
continuously operate the tool at different
speeds. It may damage the switch.
SCREW DRIVING
NOTE: Try to use the modern design of screws
for easy driving and improved grip.
· Install the correct driver bit.
• Ensure that the torque adjustment collar is
set to the most suitable setting. Push the dual
range gear selector to the position “Lo” to
choose low speed. If in doubt start with a low
setting and gradually increase the setting until
the most suitable position is found.
• Use the correct speed for the job, apply mini-
mal pressure to the trigger initially.
Only increase the speed when full control can
be maintained.
• It is advisable to drill a pilot hole rst, slightly
longer and just smaller than the shank diame-
ter of the screw to be fitted. The pilot hole will
act as a guide for the screw and will also make
tightening of the screw less difficult.
• When screws are positioned close to an edge
of the material, a pilot hole will also help to
prevent splitting of the wood.
• Use the correct countersinking bit to ac-
commodate the screw head so that it is not
“proud” of the surface.
If the screw becomes difficult to drive home,
remove and try a slightly larger or longer hole
but remember there must be enough material

for the screw to grip! If restarting a screw in
a hole, locate and make the first few turns by
hand. If the screw is still difficult (as when us-
ing very hard woods) try using a lubricant such
as soap; liquid soap is usually best.
Keep sufficient pressures on the drill to prevent
the bit turning out of the screw head. The screw
head can easily become damaged making it dif-
ficult to drive it home or even remove it.
HOLE DRILLING
ATTENTION: When attempting to drill a
large diameter hole, it is sometimes best to
start with a smaller drill bit then work up to
the required size. This prevents overloading
the drill.
• Set the tool to the DRILL mode and push the
dual range gear selector to the position “Lo”
to choose low speed.
NOTE: Remember to use a “wood-pecker” ac-
tion on deep holes to allow the swarf to be
ejected from the hole.
If the drill bit snags, switch off immediately to
prevent permanent damage to the drill. Try to
run the drill in reverse to remove the bit.
• Keep the drill in line with the hole. Ideally,
the drill bit should enter at right angles to the
work. If the angle is changed during drilling,
this could cause the bit to snap off blocking the
hole and perhaps causing injury.
• Reduce pressure as the drill is about to break
through the item being drilled.
• Don’t force the drill, let it work at its own
pace.
• Keep the drill bit sharp.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: It’s recommended that all repa-
rations been made by an authorized service
center.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Before each use inspect the tool, the switch
and the wire to check any damage. Verify that
don’t have damaged, missing or worn parts.
Check if there are lost screws, misalignment or
loose moving parts or any other condition that
may affect the operation.
If an abnormal vibration or noise occurs, im-
mediately turn off the machine and solve this
issue before to try use again.
CARBON BRUSHES
The carbon brushes and the collets must be ex-
amined frequently. A good contact result the
tool to be strong. When the spark around the
collector becomes largest the carbon brushes
should be changed.
CLEANING
WARNING: Before to clean or realize any
kind of maintenance, the tool must be un-
plugged of the power source. The most effec-
tive cleaning method could be flow the tool
with dry compressed air. Always use goggles
when perform this activity. Keep the handle
clean, dry and oil free. Use only a gently soap
and a wet wiper to clean the tool. Many clean-
ing products has chemical which can seriously
damage the plastic and other isolated parts.
The ventilation slots must be kept clean. Don’t
try clean it introducing sharp objects trough
ventilation slots.
CAUTION: Don’t use chemical agents as pe-
troleum, solvents or similar products to clean
the tool.
WARNING: Use only accessories that are
recommended by the manufacturer for your
model. Accessories that may be suitable for
one tool may become hazardous when used
with another tool.
WARNING: Maintain tools with care. Keep
cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained tools, with sharp cutting
edges, are less likely to bind and are easier to
control.
WARNING: Check extension cords before
each use. If damaged, replace immediately.
Never use tool with a damaged cord.
