NORMAS GENERALES DE SEGURIDAD
Esta PULIDORA ANGULAR tiene característi-
cas que harán su trabajo más rápido y fácil.
Seguridad, comodidad y confiabilidad fueron
previstos como prioridad para el diseño del
mismo, haciendo más fácil su operación.
ADVERTENCIA: Lea todas las advertencias
de seguridad y todas las instrucciones. La
omisión de alguna de las advertencias e ins-
trucciones que se enlistan a continuación pue-
de dar como resultado un choque eléctrico,
fuego y/o un daños serios. CONSERVE TODAS
LAS ADVERTENCIAS Y TODAS LAS INSTRUC-
CIONES.
NOTA: La expresión “herramienta” en las ad-
vertencias se refiere a la herramienta eléctrica
que se conecta a la fuente de alimentación
(con cable) o a la herramienta que se acciona
a batería (sin cable).
SEGURIDAD EN EL ÁREA DE TRABAJO
Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien
iluminada. Las áreas desordenadas y oscuras
provocan accidentes.
No maneje herramientas eléctricas en atmós-
feras explosivas, tales como en presencia de
líquidos inflamables, gases o polvo. Las herra-
mientas eléctricas crean chispas que pueden
encender el polvo o los humos.
Mantenga alejados a los niños y curiosos
mientras maneja una herramienta eléctrica.
Las distracciones pueden causarle la pérdida
del control.
SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA
La clavija de la herramienta eléctrica debe
coincidir con receptáculo. No modificar nunca
la clavija de ninguna manera. No usar ningún
adaptador de clavijas con herramientas eléc-
tricas puestas a tierra. Clavijas no modificadas
y bases coincidentes reducirán el riesgo de
choque eléctrico.
Evite el contacto del cuerpo con superficies
puestas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores,
cocinas eléctricas y refrigeradores. Hay un
riesgo aumentado de choque eléctrico si su
cuerpo está puesto a tierra.
No exponga las herramientas eléctricas a la
lluvia o a condiciones de humedad. El agua
que entre en la herramienta aumentará el
riesgo de choque eléctrico.
No abuse del cable. No usar nunca el cable
para llevar, levantar o desenchufar la herra-
mienta eléctrica. Mantenga el cable lejos del
calor, aceite, cantos vivos o piezas en movi-
miento. Los cables dañados o enredados au-
mentan el riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Cuando maneje una herramienta eléctrica
en el exterior, use una prolongación de ca-
ble adecuada para uso en el exterior. El uso
de una prolongación de cable adecuada para
uso en el exterior reduce el riesgo de choque
eléctrico.
Si el uso de una herramienta en un lugar hú-
medo es inevitable, use una alimentación pro-
tegida por un dispositivo de corriente residual
(RCD). El uso de un RCD reduce el riesgo de
choque eléctrico.
EXTENSIONES DE CABLE
NOTA: El uso de cables dañados incrementa el
riesgo de descargas eléctricas o quemaduras.
Si es necesario un cable de extensión, debe
ser usado un cable con el tamaño adecuado
de los conductores. La tabla de la siguiente
página, muestra el tamaño correcto para usar
dependiendo en la longitud del cable y el ran-
go de amperaje especificado en la etiqueta
de valores nominales del producto. Si está en
duda, use el rango próximo más grande.
Siempre use cables de extensión listados en
UL, CSA ó NOM. TAMAÑOS RECOMENDADOS
DE EXTENSIONES DE CABLE:
Cuando esté usando el producto afuera, use
una extensión para exteriores marcadas con
lo siguiente: “WA” o “W”. Estas extensiones
están pensadas para trabajar en exteriores y
reducen el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.

SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
Esté alerta, vigile lo que está haciendo y use
el sentido común cuando maneje una herra-
mienta eléctrica. No use una herramienta

eléctrica cuando esté cansado o bajo la in-
fluencia de drogas, alcohol o medicamentos.
Un momento de distracción mientras maneja
herramientas eléctricas puede causar un daño
personal serio.
Use equipo de seguridad. Lleve siempre pro-
tección para los ojos. La utilización para las
condiciones apropiadas de un equipo de segu-
ridad tal como mascarilla antipolvo, zapatos
no resbaladizos, gorro duro, o protección para
los oídos reducirá los daños personales.
Evite un arranque accidental. Asegúrese de
que el interruptor está en posición apagado
antes de conectar a la red y/o a la batería, co-
ger o transportar la herramienta. Transportar
herramientas eléctricas con el dedo sobre el
interruptor o enchufar herramientas eléctri-
cas que tienen en interruptor en posición en-

Retire llaves o herramienta antes de arran-

daño personal.
No se sobrepase. Mantenga los pies bien
asentados sobre el suelo y conserve el equili-
brio en todo momento. Esto permite un mejor
control de la herramienta eléctrica en situa-
ciones inesperadas.
Vista adecuadamente. No vista ropa suelta o
joyas. Mantenga su pelo, su ropa y guantes
alejados de las piezas en movimiento. La ropa
suelta, las joyas o el pelo largo pueden ser co-
gidos en las piezas en movimiento.
Si hay dispositivos para la conexión de me-
dios de extracción y recolección de polvo,
asegúrese de que éstos estén conectados y se
usen correctamente. El uso de estos disposi-
tivos puede reducir los peligros relacionados
con el polvo.
IMPORTANTE: Este aparato no se destina
para utilizarse por personas (incluyendo ni-
ños) cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales o
mentales sean diferentes o estén reducidas,
o carezcan de experiencia o conocimiento, a
menos que dichas personas reciban una super-

UTILIZACIÓN Y CUIDADOS DE LAS
HERRAMIENTAS ELÉCTRICAS
No fuerce la herramienta eléctrica. Use la
herramienta eléctrica correcta para su aplica-
ción. La herramienta eléctrica correcta hará el
trabajo mejor y más seguro al ritmo para la
que fue concebida.
No use la herramienta eléctrica si el interrup-
tor no acciona “encendido” y “apagado”.
Cualquier herramienta eléctrica que no pueda
controlarse con el interruptor es peligrosa y
debe repararse.
Desconecte la clavija de la fuente de alimen-
tación y/o de la batería antes de efectuar
cualquier ajuste, cambio de accesorios, o de
almacenar las herramientas eléctricas. Tales
medidas preventivas de seguridad reducen el
riesgo de arrancar la herramienta accidental-
mente.
Almacene las herramientas eléctricas inacti-
vas fuera del alcance de los niños y no permi-
ta el manejo de la herramienta eléctrica a per-
sonas no familiarizadas con las herramientas
o con estas instrucciones. Las herramientas
eléctricas son peligrosas en manos de usuarios
no entrenados.
Mantenga las herramientas eléctricas. Com-
pruebe que las partes móviles no estén des-
alineadas o trabadas, que no haya piezas ro-
tas u otras condiciones que puedan afectar la
operación de las herramientas eléctricas. Las
herramientas eléctricas se reparan antes de su

Mantenga las herramientas de corte afiladas

ADVERTENCIAS DE SEGURIDAD
PARA PULIDORAS ANGULARES
Asegúrese de quitar todas las llaves de ajuste
antes de encender la herramienta. Una llave
de ajuste que se encuentre todavía posiciona-
da en una de las partes rotativas de la herra-
mienta, podrían causar daños personales.
Antes de conectar la herramienta, verifique
que el interruptor y el botón de traba no se
encuentren accionados.
Cuando encienda la herramienta, déjela que
corra por unos minutos antes de usarla sobre
la pieza de trabajo.
• Use mordazas o alguna otra manera prácti-
ca para asegurar y apoyar la pieza de trabajo
a una plataforma estable. Sostener la pieza
de trabajo con las manos o contra su cuerpo
es inestable y puede generar una pérdida de
control.
• Mantenga las herramientas cortantes, filosas
y limpias. Los productos con un mantenimien-
to regular son menos propensos a que se tra-
ben y tienden a ser más fáciles de controlar.
• Revise si hay una mala alineación, si algu-
na parte móvil se encuentra trabada, si hay
partes rotas, o cualquier otra condición que
pueda afectar la operación del producto. Si
hay daños haga reparar el producto antes de
usarlo.
Muchos accidentes son causados por produc-
tos con un mantenimiento deficiente.
ALMACENAMIENTO
Las herramientas y accesorios siempre deben
guardarse de forma ordenada, limpia, en
un lugar adecuado y lejos del alcance de los
niños.
CARACTERÍSTICAS
CONOZCA SU HERRAMIENTA
Antes de intentar usar la herramienta, co-
nozca todas las características de ensamble y
funcionamiento y así como los requisitos de
seguridad. Lea cuidadosamente este manual y
comprenda todas sus capacidades y limitantes
antes de comenzar a utilizar esta máquina.

INSTRUCCIONES DE ENSAMBLE
CUIDADO: Siempre asegúrese de que la
herramienta esté apagada y desenchufada
antes de llevar a cabo cualquier trabajo.
ENSAMBLE DEL MANGO AUXILIAR TIPO “D“
Instalación de la empuñadura frontal curva
tipo “D” (1).
Siempre instale empuñadura frontal curva a
la herramienta antes de ponerla en funciona-
miento. Coloque la empuñadura frontal curva
y coloque los tornillos y apriete con la llave
hexagonal que se previó. La empuñadura pue-
de ser instalada en dos direcciones diferentes
de acuerdo a la que sea conveniente para su
trabajo (izquierda o derecha).
INSTALACIÓN DEL PLATO Y BONETE
PRECAUCIÓN: Asegúrese siempre de que
la herramienta esté apagada y desenchufada
antes de ajustar o revisar el funcionamiento
de la herramienta.
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca accione el botón de
traba de plato cuando el eje este en movi-
miento. Presione el botón de traba para impe-
dir la rotación del eje y así hacer más sencilla
la instalación o remoción de accesorios.

pulir (3) en el eje y gírelo en sentido de las
manecillas del reloj (4).
Instale el bonete (5) colocándolo sobre el pla-
to, presione con fuerza para sostenerlo en su
lugar ya que este es de velcro. Encienda y deje
que la pulidora funcione más de tres minutos
con esto verifique que la máquina opera bien
sin carga.
INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
ANTES DE COMENZAR LA OPERACIÓN
BLOQUEO DEL EJE
PRECAUCIÓN: Siempre asegúrese de que
la herramienta esté apagada y desenchufada
antes de ajustar o revisar el funcionamiento
de la herramienta.
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca active el bloqueo del
eje cuando el husillo este en movimiento. La
herramienta puede dañarse. Pulse el bloqueo
del eje para impedir la rotación del husillo al
instalar o quitar accesorios.
ACCIONAMIENTO DEL INTERRUPTOR
ACCIÓN DE INTERRUPTOR
Para iniciar la herramienta, siga los siguientes
pasos:
1. Empuje el BOTÓN
BLOQUEO/DESBLO-
QUEO hacia la herra-
mienta (adelante).
2. Presione el inte-
rruptor ENCENDIDO/
APAGADO y la má-
quina comenzará a
funcionar.
NOTA: Si suelta el interruptor, la máquina se
detendrá.
3. Cuando la máquina esté en funcionamien-
to, empuje hacia adelante el botón de desblo-
queo / bloqueo para una operación continua.
4. Mientras está en modo de operación con-
tinua, presione el interruptor ON / OFF para
desbloquear el interruptor y detener la má-
quina completamente.
CONTROL DE VELOCIDAD
La velocidad de la herramienta puede cam-
biarse girando la perilla de ajuste de veloci-
dad para una velocidad determinada en 6
puntos, que varía de 0 a 3 000 r/min.
La máquina llega a su velocidad máxima es-
tablecida en el momento en que el interrup-
tor de activación esta completamente presio-
nado.
Se obtiene mayor velo-
cidad cuando la perilla
se gira en dirección a la
posición de máxima velo-
cidad, y la disminución
de la velocidad se obtiene
cuando se gira para llegar
a la posición 1.
PRECAUCIÓN: Si la pulidora es operada
continuamente a baja velocidad durante mu-
cho tiempo, el motor se sobrecargará, lo que
provocará su mal funcionamiento.
La perilla de ajuste de velocidad se puede gi-
rar sólo hasta llegar a las 3 000 r/min y girar de
regreso a 0 r/min.
OPERACIÓN
PRECAUCIÓN: Siempre utilice lentes de
seguridad o una careta durante la operación.
Sostenga firmemente la herramienta, encién-
dala y coloque la almohadilla sobre la pieza
de trabajo.

superficie de trabajo
aplicando solamente
una ligera presión.
Una presión excesiva dará lugar a malos re-
sultados y un desgaste prematuro del bonete.
CONSEJOS PARA PULIR
• Siempre asegúrese de que el área a pulir se
encuentre limpia y seca.
• Utilice pastas de pulido adecuadas para el
material que vaya a tratar. Lea siempre toda
la información suministrada por el fabricante
de pastas de pulido antes de usarlo.
• Aplique homogéneamente la pasta de puli-
do a la esponja de pulido y presione la espon-
ja contra la superficie de trabajo.
• Sujete la herramienta firmemente por las
empuñaduras con las dos manos. La esponja
de pulido debe tener un ligero contacto con
la superficie de trabajo.
• Encienda la herramienta uy trabaje a través
de la superficie siguiendo un movimiento am-
plio de “barrido”. Detenga y aplique más pas-
ta de pulir si fuera necesario.
• Una vez que la superficie de trabajo está cu-
bierta, detenga la herramienta y deje secar el
material (siga las indicaciones suministradas
por el fabricante).

• Coloque una funda pulidora limpia a la má-
quina y trabaje sobre la superficie de la misma
forma que antes hasta retirar el resto de ma-
terial visible.
CONSEJOS PARA LIJAR
ADVERTENCIA: Esta herramienta ha sido
diseñada principalmente para pulir aunque
también se puede utilizar para tareas de li-
jado superficial. No utilice esta herramienta
cuando necesite lijar y retirar gran cantidad
de material, para ello deberá utilizar otro tipo
de lijadora (ej, lijadora de banda).
ADVERTENCIA: Nunca utilice esta herra-
mienta para lijar en húmedo.
ADVERTENCIA: Utilice siempre protección
respiratoria adecuada.
• Antes de comenzar, deje que la herramienta
alcance su velocidad máxima.
• Empiece siempre con un papel de lija de gra-
no grueso y cambie progresivamente a grano
más fino hasta lograr el acabado deseado.
• No aplique demasiada presión sobre la he-
rramienta. Presionar demasiado sobre la su-
perficie de trabajo puede recalentar el motor
o dañar la pieza de trabajo.
• Lije uniformemente sobre la superficie de
trabajo. Esta herramienta funciona en movi-
mientos giratorios y no es necesario trabajar
con el grano.
• Use la lijadora colocándola en sentido “pla-
no” sobre la pieza de trabajo y desgastará
uniformemente el disco de lija.
MANTENIMIENTO
ANTES DE REALIZAR CUALQUIER TIPO DE
MANTENIMIENTO Y CUIDADO:
• Apague la máquina.
• Espere hasta que la máquina se detenga por
completo.
• Desenchufe la herramienta.
PARTES REEMPLAZABLES
¡Peligro de accidente! Partes que no hayan
sido revisadas y aprobadas por el fabricante
pueden dañar seriamente la herramienta y a
la vez causar daños al usuario.
Utilice solamente partes originales para reem-
plazar las partes viejas esta instrucción aplica
a mecanismos de seguridad y partes cortantes.

LIMPIEZA
Limpie la máquina con un trapo húmedo con
un poco de jabón suave. No utilice ningún
tipo de soluciones abrasivas o detergentes,
esto puede causar corrosión de partes plásti-
cas de la máquina. Asegúrese de que el agua
lo alcance el interior de la herramienta.
INSPECCIÓN DE LOS TORNILLOS
Inspeccione regularmente todos los tornillos y
asegúrese de que estén completamente apre-
tados. Si hay algún tornillo flojo, apriételo in-
mediatamente.
MANTENIMIENTO Y REPARACIÓN
Todas las herramientas eléctricas de cali-

INSPECCIÓN DE LOS CARBONES
El motor utiliza carbones, que son piezas de
repuesto. Reemplace los carbones por otros
nuevos cuando se hayan desgastado hasta su
límite. Mantenga siempre limpios los carbones
para asegurar que se deslicen libremente den-
tro de los porta-carbones.
SERVICIO
No hay partes en el interior de la máquina
que requieran de mantenimiento hecho por
el usuario. Si la máquina deja de funcionar
después de un tiempo de trabajo transcurri-
do, lleve la herramienta a un centro de servi-
cio para su revisión.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Your ANGLE POLISHER has many features that
will make your job faster and easier. Safety,
performance and reliability have been given
top priority in the design of this tool, qualities
to make easy to maintain and to operate.
WARNING: Read and understand all in-
structions. Failure to follow all indications list-
ed below, may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
SAFETY IN WORKING AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clut-
tered benches and dark areas may cause acci-
dents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmo-
spheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Some power tools create
sparks which may provoke fire.
Keep away observers, children and visitors
while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
ELECTRIC SAFETY
Double insulation eliminates the need for the
three wire grounded power cord and ground-
ed power supply system.
Avoid the body contact with grounded surfac-
es such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is grounded.
Don’t expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions. The presence of water into power tools
will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse of the power cord. Never use the
power cord to carry the tool and do not pull
the plug off the outlet. Keep the cable away of
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outside, use an
outdoor extension cord marked “W-A” or “W”.
These cords are rated for outdoor use and re-
duce the risk of electric shock.
EXTENSION CORDS
Replace damaged cords immediately. The use
of damaged cords can shock, burn or electric
shock. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord
with adequate size conductors should be used
to prevent excessive voltage drop, loss of pow-
er or overheating. The table below shows the
correct size to use, depending on cord length
and nameplate amperage rating of tools. In
case of doubt use the next heavier gauge. Al-
ways use UL listed extension cords.
SIZE RECOMMEND EXTENSION CABLES
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool.
Don’t use the tool if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating power
tools may cause a serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing
or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away of moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
Avoid an accidental starting. Be sure that the
switch is OFF before plugging in. Carrying
tools with the finger on the switch or plug in
the tool switch in ON may cause accidents.
Remove the adjusting keys or wrenches be-
fore turning the tool on. A wrench or a key
that is left close to a rotating part of the tool
may provoke a personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times. Proper footing and bal-
ance enables better control of the tools on un-
expected situations.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye pro-
tection. Dust mask, nonskid safety shoes, hard
hat, or hearing protection must be used for ap-
propriate conditions.
Before connecting the tool to a power source
(receptacle, outlet, etc.) be sure that the volt-
age supplied is the same as that one specified
on the nameplate of the tool. To use a not
specified voltage may cause a serious injury to
the user as well as damage the tool.

IMPORTANT: This appliance is not intended
for use by persons (including children) with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
may be different or reduced, or lack of experi-
ence or knowledge, unless such persons are su-
pervised or trained to operate the product by
a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure they do not use
the devices as toys.
TOOL USE AND CARE
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
tool for the application. The correct tool will
do the job better and more safely at the rate
that it was designed to work at.
Do not use tools if switch does not turn it on
or off. Any tool that cannot be controlled with
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source
before making any adjustments, changing ac-
cessories or storing the tool. This preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of accidental
starting of the tool.
When the power tool is not in use, store it out
of the reach of children, and do not allow in-
dividuals who are not familiar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate it. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands on untrained
users.
Maintain the power tool. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, broken parts,
and any other condition that may affect the
operation of the power tool. If it is damaged,
have it repaired before using. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Check for misalignment or bonding of moving
parts, breakage parts, and any other condition
that may affect the tools operation. If you find
a damaged tool, take it to service before use it.
Use only accessories that are recommended by
the manufacturer of your model. Suitable ac-
cessories for one tool, may become hazardous
when are used on another tool.
Keep cutting tools, sharpened and clean. Cut-
ting tools in good condition with sharpened
edges, are less likely to stuck in workpieces or
easier to control.
Is recommendable to use a safety device suit-
able, such a thermal and differential switch
when you are using an electric equipment.
SERVICE
Tool service must be performed only by quali-
fied repair personnel. Service or maintenance
performed by unqualified personnel could re-
sult in a risk of injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR
ANGLE POLISHER
• Use clamps, or another practical way to in-
sure and support the work piece to a stable
base. Holding the work piece by hand or
against your body is unstable and may cause
loss of control.
• Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools
sharp and clean. Properly maintained tools,
with sharp cutting edges are less likely to be
interlocked and are easier to control.

Hold the tool’s switch handle and the aux-
iliary handle firmly with both hands during
installation. Hold in the auxiliary handle in
position and aim at hole in the gear box. In-
stall the bolts and tighten them with the hex
wrench. The auxiliary handle can be installed
in two different directions; whichever is con-
venient for your work (left & right).
FITTING POLISHING DISC AND WOOLEN PAD
CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is
switched off and unplugged before adjust-
ing or checking function on the tool.
Press the spindle lock
button (1) to prevent
spindle (2) rotation
when installing or
removing accessories.
With spindle lock
pressed place the
polishing plate (3)
on the spindle and
rotate clockwise to
tighten (4).
Install the wool bonnet (5) by simply put the
woolen pad over the polishing disc. Let it op-
erate for more than three minutes for check-
ing it up without load.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE START OPERATION
SHAFT LOCK
CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is
switched off and unplugged before adjust-
ing or checking function on the tool.
CAUTION: Never actuate the shaft lock
when the spindle is moving. The tool may
be damaged. Press the shaft lock to prevent
spindle rotation when installing or removing
accessories.
SWITCH ACTION
To start the tool, follow the next steps:
1. Push the UNLOCK/
LOCK ON BUTTON to-
wards the tool (for-
ward).
2. Push up the ON/OFF
switch, then the ma-
chine will start to run.
NOTE: If you release the switch, the machine
will stop.
3. When the machine start, push forward the
unlock/lock button for continuous operation.
4. While in continuous operation, press the
ON/OFF switch to stop altogether.
SPEED ADJUSTING DIAL
The tool speed can be changed by turning
the speed adjusting dial to a given number
of stops from 0 to 3000 RPM.
CAUTION: If the tool is operated continu-
ously at low speeds for a long time, the mo-
tor will get overloaded, resulting in tool
malfunction. The speed adjusting dial can be
turned only as far as 3000 and back to 0.
Higher speed is obtained
when the dial is turned in
the direction max speed.
And lower speed is ob-
tained when it is turned
in the direction of num-
ber 1.
OPERATION
CAUTION: Always wear safety glasses or a
face shield during operation.
Hold the tool firmly. Turn the tool on and
then apply the wool bonnet to the work-
piece.
In general, keep the
wool bonnet at an
angle of about 15
degrees to the work-
piece surface. Apply
slight pressure only.
Excessive pressure will result in poor perfor-
mance and premature wear to wool bonnet.

• Choose only compounds that are compatible
with the material to be polished, and with the
method of application. Read and understand
all information supplied with your polishing
compound before use.
• If using polishing sponges, apply polishing
compound evenly to the polishing sponge and
place the sponge against the work Surface.
• Hold the machine securely, using both hands,
by the handles provided. The polishing sponge
should make only light contact with the work
surface.
• Switch on the machine, and work across the
surface using a wide “sweeping” motion. Stop
and apply extra compound as required.
• When the entire surface has been covered,
stop the machine and allow the compound to
dry (follow manufacturer’s guidance).
• Attach a clean polishing Bonnet to the ma-
chine and work across the surface as before,
until all visible polishing compound is removed.
SANDING TIPS
WARNING: This machine is primarily designed
as a polishing tool. It is suitable for light duty
sanding tasks, e.g. fine sanding as a prepara-
tion to polishing, but it has not been designed
to remove large amounts of material. Use a dif-
ferent type of sander, e.g. a belt sander, should
this be required.
WARNING: NEVER use this machine for wet
sanding.
WARNING: ALWAYS use adequate respira-
tory protection when sanding.
• Allow the machine to reach the required
speed before bringing the sanding paper into
contact with the workpiece.
• Start with a coarse grit paper, and work
through progressively finer grit papers until
the desired finish is achieved.
• Apply only moderate pressure to the sander.
Pressing too hard onto the work surface may
overheat the motor or damage the work sur-
face.
• Sand evenly over the work surface. The ma-
chine Works in a rotary motion so it is not nec-
essary to work with the grain.
• Only use the sander “flat on” to the work.
Tilting the sander onto its edge will damage
your workpiece.

BEFORE ALL CARE AND MAINTENANCE WORK
• Turn the machine off.
• Wait until the machine has come to a com-
plete standstill.
• Pull out the power plug.
CLEANING
Clean the machine with a moist cloth and some
soft soap. Do not use any detergents or solu-
tion; these may cause corrosion of the plastic
parts of the machine. Make sure that no water
reaches the inside of the machine.
Keep the vent passage clear from dirt, clean off
the accumulated dust and oil dirt periodically.
SERVICING
There are no parts on the inside of the machine
which require maintenance by the user. Should
the machine fail to function after a long opera-
tion time, have it checked by a technician.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
Danger of accident! Parts which were not re-
viewed and approved by the manufacturer can
damage the machine and can cause serious in-
juries. Use only original parts for replacing old
parts, particularly for safety mechanisms and
cutting tools.
CARBON BRUSH
The brushes should be checked periodically
and worn-out brushes should be replaced in
time. After replacing, inspect whether the new
brushes can move freely in the brush holder.
Keep running the motor for 15 minutes to
match the contact of the brushes and commu-
tator.
