Installation Procedure
1. Plan the final position of the roundabout ensuring there is enough space*. The roundabout can only be installed on a
level site, maximum gradient 1 in 50**.
2. Excavate the foundation according to the drawings. It's important that water does not collect beneath the roundabout,
so additional drainage may be required if the ground is not free draining.
3. The roundabout parts are very heavy, lifting equipment will be required.
4. The roundabout is supplied with the top assembly fitted to the base ring, and with the stainless steel upper ring
sections fitted and adjusted. The roundabout should rotate freely, check that it does before separating the parts in case
there has been any damage in transit. When checked, carefully separate by lifting the top assemblies away from the
base ring, keep parts horizontal to prevent distortion and damage to the wheels.
5. Lift the base ring into the foundation hole. It's important that the base ring remains perfectly round so do not rest it on
its side and ensure it is supported all round when in the foundation hole. When installed, ensure the base ring is level in
all directions. The top of the stainless steel upper ring sections should be at finished play level.
6. Fasten the lower ring sections using the M10 bolts, nuts and washers supplied.
7. Install the concrete foundation around the outside lower ring 200mm deep, this should bring the concrete to just under
the upper rings.

Installation Procedure
8. Install the lower part of the centre pole. It's important that this is vertical, exactly in the centre of the ring, and the top
surface is level with the top of the stainless steel upper ring sections.
9. Do not install safety surfacing until the top assembly has been installed incase adjustment is needed.
10. When the concrete has set (2 to 3 days) the top assembly can be lowered onto the base ring. Ensure that both
the vertical and horizontal faces of the track ring are clean and free from debris and there is sufficient clearance below
for the guide wheels. Take care when lowering the top assembly that it is central to prevent damage to the four guide
wheels.
11. Ensure the roundabout rotates freely. The gap between the edge of the inner ring to the upper ring sections should
be no more than 8mm but must also not touch. This has been preset at the factory and should not require adjustment on
site.
12. If the roundabout is not rotating freely, follow the adjustment instructions attached.
13. Fit the deck/handrail assembly by bolting through to the frame with the security screws provided. Fit the two
wheelchair rubber stops.
13. Fit the top part of the centre pole using the four M12 countersunk screws. Use the additional packing washers
supplied between the joint if required to ensure the centre pole lower plate does not rub on the deck.
14. Do not allow the roundabout to be used until the required safety surfacing has been installed. When installing the
safety surfacing take care to ensure the surfacing does not push against the upper ring sections. A gap between the
upper ring sections and the rotating frame must be maintained.
Follow the maintenance instructions supplied.
* Care should be taken while installing to decrease the hazard for children.

Outer Gap Adjustment Instructions
To gain access underneath the roundabout for adjust-
ment, first remove the 4 countersunk screws from the
centre pole and remove it.
Secondly, remove all of the security screws on the outer
legs on the handrail, and those holding the two rubber
bump stops in place (leave the screws in the inner legs
otherwise the handrail will come off the roundabout
altogether). This will disconnect the decks and handrail
from the frame.
Once all the outer security screws
have been removed, the deck and
handrail assembly can be lifted off
the frame in one piece.
There are two ways to adjust the
roundabout for smooth running.
The guide wheels can be adjusted,
and the stainless steel upper ring
sections can be adjusted. The upper
ring sections can only be adjusted
prior to the safety surface being
installed.
First check the track and wheels.
Ensure the track is clean and free
from debris and the wheels are in
good condition and running freely. It's
important that the roundabout is held
centrally on the track. If it is not then
adjust the guide wheels. The guide
wheels are fixed to the frame with a
slotted bracket. By loosening the two
M10 bolts, the guide wheels can be
adjusted as required to ensure the
roundabout is held centrally on the
track. Do not over tighten the guide
wheels against the track, leave a
small clearance for free rotation.
If after checking the wheels, the
roundabout is still rubbing on the
outer ring or the gap is larger than
8mm the outer rings can be adjusted.

Upper ring section

Before the safety surface is laid the upper ring sections can be adjusted if
required.
The upper ring is in four stainless steel quarters, each quarter can be adjusted
separately to increase or decrease the gap to the rotating frame.
The upper ring sections are secured with M10 bolts. By loosening these and
inserting spacer washers the gap can be increased. The maximum allowable
gap is 8mm.
Once the roundabout runs freely, reassemble the deck and frame assembly. Fit
the centre pole, use spacer washers if required to ensure the bracket does not
rub on the deck.

Disposal Instructions
All components should be broken down into categories of:
1. Mild steel - all swing frames, Playzone, Toddlerzone, Teenzone activities, deck frames and springie frames.
2. Stainless Steel - all slides, mirror panels.
3. Aluminium - all Playzone and Toddlerzone posts and Playzone post caps.
4. Galvanised steel - all chains and Teenzone posts.
5. Moulded rubber products without steel centres - all Toddlerzone caps and edge details.
6. Timber - all natural timber, plywood and mdf panels.
Wherever possible these materials should be taken to specialist recycling organisations and recycled.
In some cases where composite materials are used then disposal at land fill sites is the only alternative such as:
7. Moulded rubber products encasing steel centres - all seats, deck tops, duo/dizzy disc tops.
8. High pressure laminate - all Toddlerzone, Playzone panels.
9. Steel core polypropylene rope - all scramble nets, space nets, Playzone/Toddlerzone ropes and rope bridges.

Check rubber parts and deck for wear and/or damage, replace as
required.
Visual inspection, remove any debris and check for correct
operation.
Check perimeter gap, adjust if required.
Check slide chutes for smoothness and any foreign elements,
remove any found.
Check rubber safety surfaces for damage and poor performance,
repair or replace if required.
Check loose fill safety surfaces, remove any foreign elements, rake
level and top up if required.
