IMPOR AN SAFE Y INS RUC IONS
1. Do not install near too cold, too hot or humid locations.
2. he wireless sensors are powered by batteries. est the sensors’ batteries monthly, and it is
recommended to change the batteries semiannually.
3. he remote controller’s transmission distance is about 8 meters, but may be affected by
environment such as walls and intense magnetic field.
4. he wireless sensors transmission distance is about 20 meters, but may be affected by
environment such as walls and intense magnetic field. Please test and confirm the effective
wireless transmission distance when installing wireless sensors. And please take it into
consideration that the transmission distance will be reduced by battery capacity decline.
5. Never attempt to open the device. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
6. Only use the provided AC adapter, in order to avoid damage.
7. Never insert anything into the cooling hole to avoid damage or short circuit.
8. Please fix the device firmly to avoid damage caused by falling off.
9. Please do not fix the device in intense magnetic field or heavy wireless network, to avoid signal
disturbance.
10. Please do not touch the lens of the device, to avoid lens damage and image unclear.
11. he wireless sensors have different environment demands. Please read the manual of each
sensor carefully before installation.
12. Always power off before plugging or unplugging the SIM card.
13. CH-1100LG is only for indoor use; never use it in outdoor environment.

Chapter I - Brief Introduction
1.1 Introduction
With build in cellular module, Vidsec GSM cameras work with just a SIM card. User can setup
and remote control the camera by SMS, and get instant alert snapshots when the camera is triggered by
motion detection or wireless sensors. he cameras are specially designed for surveillance in
circumstances without cabled internet access, such as farm, base station, power plant, and etc.

1.5 Reference
1.5.1 User authori ation type
here’re 2 authorization types for users:
Administrator
Has the authorization to setup the device, and can take all the provided functions.
Guest
Only has the authorization to login “Vidsec Viewer Utility” and survey the image, cannot login and
change the settings of “Vidsec Setup Utility”.
1.5.2 Wireless alert sensor
here’re two kinds of wireless alert sensors: irrevocable wireless sensor and revocable wireless
sensor.
Irrevocable wireless sensor: Once the sensor is triggered, the device will alert and record the alert
info, no mater whether it is armed or disarmed.
Revocable wireless sensor: he device will alert and record only if it is armed.
Each device can have 8 kinds of sensors bound,

1.5.3 Arm
Under this status, when alert triggered by motion-detection or other wireless sensors, the device will
alert, record live video, snapshot pictures, and send the alert log, video and pictures by email, MMS or
SMS
1.5.4 Disarm
Under this status, the alert email/SMS/MMS function will be turned off.
Remark: Under the disarming status, the device will still alert if the force alert key on the remote
controller is pressed or irrevocable sensors are triggered.
1.5.5 Alert records
When the device alerts, it will generate an alert log, and start to record live video, snapshot pictures.
All the records will be saved into the build-in flash memory. o download the alert records, please refer
to 3.1.3
1.5.6 Alert Email
he device can send alert records to defined Email address. Once it alerts, you can receive an
Email of alert records.
1.5.7 Clock synchroni ation
he device clock can be set synchronization with PC.
1.5.8 Study
Users can bind the device with wireless alert sensors.
1.5.9 LAN and internet
LAN: Network formed by devices and PC with same network segment. For example, if PC’s IP
address is 192.168.0.1, device’s IP address is 192.168.0.2, PC and device are in a LAN.
Internet: Remote visit and control the device by logon internet.
1.5.10 SMS command
he device can be setup and controlled by SMS commands. Please see the SMS commands in the
attachment.

Adjust the manual focusing lens to make a clear capture image.

Chapter II - Getting Started
2.1 Installation
2.1.1 Hardware installation
CH-1100LG
he bracket is as Fig. 2-1. It is made up of the locking disc, rotation axis, locking knob, locking
switch, chassis and suction cup.

Clockwise screw the locking disc into the device. Adjust the direction, and then screw the locking
knob to fasten it.
Use the suction cup or screws to fix the chassis to a wall, or other convenient fixing point.
By Suction Cup: Uplift the locking switch, impact the suction cup to the fixing point, and then press
down the locking switch. (Only suitable for table stand)
By screws: Use screws to fix the chassis.
he device can be fixed with following 3 styles:
- Directly stand on the table, as Fig. 2-2.
- Fix the bracket and device on the wall, as Fig. 2-3.
- Fix the bracket and device on the ceiling, as Fig. 2-4.

Install the GSM antenna. Fix the bracket of the ca era to a wall tightly by 4 screws.
2.1.2 SIM card installation
CH-1100LG: Power off the device, and then insert a SIM card in the SIM card slot.
CH-1200LG: Power off the device, take off the back cover, and then insert a SIM card in the SIM
card slot.
2.1.3 Wireless sensor installation
2.1.3.1 Wireless door sensor
he wireless door sensor is divided into magnetism sensor A and magnetism
stick B. First, clean the install spot of door or window, and then fix the sensor A
and stick B either by double-sided adhesive or by screws. Please note the
following:
①
Fix the sensor A on the door frame or window frame, and stick B on the
edge of door or window.
②
he distance between sensor A and stick B should be less than 10mm.
③
It is recommended that the antenna direction of sensor A is the same as the antenna of the
device.
④
Once the door or window is opened, the green indicator of sensor A will turn on for 3 seconds,
which means a well installation condition.
⑤
he door sensor is also available in other similar occasions.
⑥
Please change a new battery if the red indicator of sensor A turns on.
2.1.3.2 Other wireless sensor installation
Refer to the user manual of the other wireless sensors.
2.2 PC requirement for software
he minimum hardware and software requirements to launch “Vidsec client utilities” are:
Intel Pentium III or equivalent CPU, DirectX 9.0 compatible graphic card, 100M network card, 1GB free
hard disk space, 512M RAM, Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/Win7
Remark: he Vidsec utilities are only compatible with Windows PC.

2.3 Utilities installation
Insert the enclosed CD into the CD-ROM drive. Run Vidsec setup.exe and Vidsecviewer.exe to
setup the utilities.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation of viewer and setup utility. After
installation is completed, “Vidsec viewer” and “Vidsec setup” shortcuts will be added on the desktop.

2.4
Initializing connection
2.4.1 In a DHCP LAN
Step 1: Insert a SIM card. Connect the device with a DHCP Router, and then power the device, wait
for about 3-5 minutes, when the siren rings for one time, it means the SIM card is read correctly, and
camera starts to work. If the siren rings for four times, the SIM card is error.
Step 2: launch the “Vidsec setup utility” shortcut on a PC connected to the DHCP router.
Step. 3: Login the device.
①
Click “Refresh Device”, and the Serial number, Port and IP address of every connected device
will be displayed on the left device list.
②
Click to select a device from device list, and the IP address of selected device will be displayed
in the “Selected device” section.
③
Input “User ID” and “Password” ( he default User ID and password are both “admin”), and then
click “Login”. When logged in successfully, it will display “Logged in 192.168.0.xx: 7000” on the left
bottom of the dialog box, and obtain the device name (Default: Vidsec + Serial number) in the device list.
Otherwise, it will display “Unable to log in 192.168.0.xx: 7000”.
④
Rename the device in “Device name” section, and click “OK” to finish. he new device name
will be displayed in the device list.

2.4.2 In a LAN without DHCP
If the LAN doesn't have DHCP server, please do as the following instructions:
1. Directly connect the device with PC by the enclosed crossover Ethernet cable.
2. Power the device, and wait about 3 minutes. he siren rings for one time or four times, which
mean the device starts to work.
3. Set the PC IP address “192.168.0.18”, subnet mask “255.255.255.0”. (If the PC already has a
fixed IP address, subnet mask and default gateway for the current network surrounding, please write
down and recover after setup Vidsec device.)
4. Launch "Vidsec setup utility", set the IP address and subnet mask of the device available for the
LAN. Please apply the IP addresses to your network administrator or Internet service provider. (Refer to
3.2.2.1)
5. Power off the device, and connect the device into the LAN. Continue the further operations as
2.4.1, Step 2 to Step 4.
Remark: he enclosed crossover Ethernet cable is only for IP address setting. It can't work in LAN.
Here is the instruction to set PC IP address:
(1) Click “Start” – “Settings” – “Control Panel” – “Network Connections”. Choose the "Local Area
Connection" currently connected with this device, and double click to open the “Local Area Connection
Status”. hen click “Properties” to enter “Local Area Connection Properties”.

2.5 Initializing setup
1. Run “Vidsec setup” on your desktop, and you’ll find the camera listed in the setup software. Input
user ID “admin” and password “admin” to log in the camera.
2. SIM card settings:
SIM card status: “normal” means camera can read the SIM card correctly. “Abnormal” means no SIM
card or SIM card error.
Signal: he number stands for the GSM signal intensity. When signal is weak (number<10), sms/mms
may no be able to be sent.
Admin mobile: input the admin mobile’s number and name. Please input your mobile number as this
format: +country code mobile no. For example, if your mobile no is 18000000000, country code is 86,
please input: “+8618000000000”.

GPRS/CDMA settings: input your SIM card carrier’s GPRS parameters.
o add or select a carrier’s GPRS/CDMA settings, click
Add: add a carrier’s settings.
Modify: modify an existed carrier’s settings.
Delete: delete an existed carrier’s settings.
MMS settings: input your SIM card carrier’s MMS parameters.
o add or select a carrier’s MMS settings, click

If you want the camera to forward all the received SMS to the admin mobile, please enable “forward
received SMS to admin mobile”
o test if SMS/MMS settings are correct, click , and send test SMS/MMS.
3. Alert settings: Click and log in “alert” tab.
o receive SMS/MMS alert information, click , and enable “Get alert SMS”
and/or “Get alert MMS”.

For email alert, click , and input “mail from”, “account”, “Password”, “SM P”,
“SM P port” for the email address used to send email, “mail to (1)” to receive email and email subject.
Now the Initialized connection is finished. Please read Chapter hree for more detail operations.

Chapter III - Using and Configuring
3.1 Vidsec Viewer Utility
3.1.1 Panel instruction
he Vidsec Viewer Utility panel contains device list section, login section; capture display section,
alert status section and capture control buttons.
3.1.1.1 Device list section
“Device List” displays all connected devices, including serial numbers, names and status.
he device can be renamed in “Vidsec Setup Utility”.
here are following status of devices:
Offline: Device not found or offline.
LAN: he device is connected in LAN.
WAN: he device is directly connected in Internet.
UPnP: he device is connected in internet via uPnP.
NA : he device is connected in Internet via NA .
DMZ: he device is connected in Internet via DMZ.
Static routing: he device is connected in internet via Static Routing.
Manual: he device is manually added into the list by the “ADD” button.

3.1.1.2 Refresh, add, delete and configure
Refresh the status of all connected devices.
Add a device that directly connected in Internet. Click this button to open a dialog box, and
input IP address, port and serial number, which are gained from the Email sent by the device. Click “OK”,
and the remote device will be added into the device list.
In “Device list”, right click the device to be deleted, and then click “Delete device” to delete the
device.
3.1.1.3 Capture control buttons

Click to start recording and click again to end recording. he recorded video will be saved in
Vidsec program folder.
3.1.1.4 Alert status section
Display the status of sensors: smoke, door, glass, gas, water, IR, forced alert and the
motion-detection alert. When the bound wireless sensor is triggered, the corresponding displayed item
will start flashing. For instance, if the second smoke sensor is triggered, the alert section will display
“smoke 2” and flash continuously. And when there’s any motion detected in the preset areas, the
“Motion” will start to flash continuously.
3.1.2 Login
Click “Refresh” and select the device to be logged in. Make sure the network status is not “Offline”,
and then the name of the selected device will be displayed at the bottom of Device list section.
Input User ID and password in the Login section, and click “Login”. hen the real time video will be
displayed on the capture display section. (Both the default ID and password are “admin”.)
Click “Logout” to quit.
