1 - Before first use
1Remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories
from the inside and the outside of the appliance.
Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass
table, tablecloth, varnished furniture,etc.) or on a soft surface
such as a dish towel.
Select a dry, level location where the grill will be used, leaving
enough space between the back of the grill and wall to allow
heat to flow without damage to cabinets and walls.
2Wipe grill plates with a soapy sponge, then wipe clean with
a wet sponge to remove any remaining soap.
3Place the drip tray under the bottom housing of the grill. The
drip tray will allow the run off to be collected at the front of
the grill.
4Fully unwind the power cord.
Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with
the power rating and voltage indicated on the bottom of the
appliance.

7Carefully place foods to be cooked on lower grill plate with a
spatulla.
Do not move the appliance when in use.
5Plug the power cord into an outlet.
If an extension cord is used: take all necessary precautions
to prevent anyone from tripping over the extension cord.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
The power supply cord should be regularly examined for
signs of damage, and if the cord is damaged, the appliance
must not be used.
On first use, there may be a slight odor and a little smoke
during the first few minutes. In these cases, open the
windows and wait until there is no more smoke or odor.
This appliance is not intended to be operated by means
of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
6The orange indicator light comes on to indicate the grill is
heating.
When the temperature is reached, the indicator light will turn
off.
Allow the grill to preheat for several minutes before grilling
and until the light goes out.

8 Important: the appliance is hot during use.
Close the cover and allow food to cook for the selected time.
If desired, use a kitchen timer.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during use or when
plugged in.
Important: Do not use heavy pressure on the lid of the
grill at any time.
To prevent heat loss and for even cooking, do not open the
lid frequently.
For best results, do not overload the grill.
Remember that since the grill is cooking from both sides,
cooking time will typically be shorter than expected.
Watch carefully to avoid overcooking.
9Once cooking is complete, carefully open the grill cover using
a pot holder.
Always use silicone, heatproof plastic or wood utensils to
avoid scratching nonstick surface of grill plates.
Never use metal spatulas skewers, tongs, forks or knives.
Never cut directly on the grill plates.
10 Do not remove the drip tray while cooking.
If the drip tray becomes full when cooking, let the appliance
cool down before emptying.
Wash and dry drip tray after each use.
To preserve the non-stick properties of the coating,
do not cook food in aluminium foil.
Never run the appliance empty.
Do not place cooking ustensils on the cooking surfaces
of the appliance.

11 Before cleaning, unplug grill from wall outlet and allow
to cool at least 2 hours.
12 To avoid accidental burns, allow grill to cool thoroughly
before cleaning.
The appliance must remain closed while cooling down.
13 Place drip tray under front of grill.
Use plastic spatula to scrape off any excess fat and food
particles left on the grill plates directly into the drip tray.

14 Use a warm, soapy sponge to wipe plates clean, then rinse
sponge and wipe again to remove any soapy residue.
Dry thoroughly with an absorbent paper towel.
To remove stubborn buildup, use a nylon or nonmetallic
scrubbing pad to clean the grill plates.
Do not use metallic scrubbing pads, steel wool or any
abrasive cleaners to clean any part of your grill;
use only nylon or nonmetallic scrubbing pads.
Empty drip tray and wash in warm, soapy water;
dry thoroughly with a paper towel.
To clean the grill cover, wipe with a warm, wet sponge
and dry with a soft, dry cloth.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized
service representative.
15 Do not immerse the body of grill in water or any other
liquid.
16 Always make sure grill is clean and dry before storing.

The Warranty
This product is guaranteed by T-fal for 1 year against any manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship, starting from the initial date of purchase.
The manufacturer's warranty by T-fal is an extra benefit which does not affect consumer's Statutory Rights.
The T-fal warranty covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original specifications, through the
repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labor. At T-fal’s choice, a replacement product may be provided instead of repairing
a defective product. T-fal’s sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under this warranty are limited to such repair or replacement.
Conditions & Exclusions
The T-fal warranty only applies within USA, Canada & Mexico, and is valid only on presentation of a proof of purchase. The product can be taken
directly in person to an authorized service center or must be adequately packaged and returned, by recorded delivery (or equivalent method of
postage), to a T-fal authorized service center. Full address details for each country’s authorized service center are listed on the T-fal website
(www.tefal.com) or by calling the appropriate telephone number listed below to request the appropriate postal address.
T-fal shall not be obligated to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.
This warranty will not cover any damage which could occur as a result of misuse, negligence, failure to follow T-fal instructions, use on current or
voltage other than as stamped on the product, or a modification or unauthorized repair of the product. It also does not cover normal tear and wear,
maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, and the following:
- using the wrong type of water or consumable
- scaling (any de-scaling must be carried out according
to the instructions for use);
- ingress of water, dust or insects into the product;
- mechanical damages, overloading
- damages or bad results due to wrong voltage or frequency

The T-fal manufacturer's warranty applies only for products purchased and used in USA, Canada & Mexico. Where a product purchased in one
country and then used in another one:
a) The T-fal guarantee duration is the one in the country of usage of the product, even if the product was purchased in another listed country with
different guarantee duration.
b) The T-fal guarantee does not apply in case of non conformity of the purchased product with the local standards, such as voltage, frequency,
power plugs, or other local technical specifications
c) The repair process for products purchased outside the country of use may require a longer time if the product is not locally sold by T-fal
d) In cases where the product is not repairable in the new country, the T-fal guarantee is limited to a replacement by a similar product or an alternative
product at similar cost, where possible.
Consumer Statutory Rights

Se proporciona un cable eléctrico corto (o cable eléctrico desmontable) para reducir los riesgos que
pueden ocasionar enredarse o tropezarse con un cable más largo.
Se encuentran disponibles cables eléctricos desmontables más largos o extensiones, que se pueden
utilizar siempre que se haga con precaución.
Si se utiliza un cable eléctrico desmontable largo o una extensión:
1) a clasificación eléctrica marcada del cable eléctrico desmontable o de la extensión debe al-
canzar al menos la clasificación eléctrica del artefacto;
2) El cable más largo se debe ubicar de modo que no cuelgue de la barra de la cocina o una mesa
donde los niños puedan jalarlo o tropezarse por accidente.

1 - Antes de la primera utilización
1Retire todos los embalajes, etiquetas o accesorios tanto de
dentro como de fuera del aparato.
No coloque nunca el aparato directamente sobre un soporte
frágil (mesa de cristal, mantel, mueblo barnizado...) o sobre
un soporte blando, tipo mantel de plástico.
Escoja un lugar seco y nivelado donde se usará la parrilla, de-
jando espacio suficiente entre su parte posterior y la pared
para permitir que el calor circule sin dañar los gabinetes ni
las paredes.
2impie las placas de la parrilla con una esponja jabonosa,
luego pase una esponja mojada para eliminar el resto de
jabón.
3Coloque la charola para jugos debajo de la carcasa inferior
de la parrilla. a charola para jugos permitirá que los escur-
rimientos se recojan en la parte frontal de la parrilla.
4Desenrosque completamente el cable.
Compruebe que la instalación eléctrica es compatible con la
potencia y la tensión indicadas debajo del aparato.

7Con cuidado, coloque los alimentos que deba cocinar en la
placa inferior de asar con la ayuda de una espátula.
No desplace el aparato durante su utilización.
5Conecte el cable a la red.
Si es necesario utilizar una extensión para el cable:
tome todas las precauciones para asegurarse que las
personas no tropiezan con el cable.
Si el cable de alimentación está dañado, éste tiene que ser
sustituido por el fabricante, o en un Servicio Técnico
autorizado, o una persona cualificada, para evitar cualquier
peligro.
El cable de alimentación debe ser verificado regularmente
para detectar cualquier signo de deterioro, y si el cable está
dañado, el aparato no debe ser utilizado.
En la primera utilización, podrá producirse un ligero
desprendimiento de olor y de humo durante los primeros
minutos. En tales casos, abra la ventana y espere hasta que
hayan desaparecido todos los humos u olores.
Este aparato no está destinado para ser puesto en marcha
mediante un reloj exterior o un sistema de mando a
distancia separado.
6Se encenderá el piloto naranja para indicar que el aparato
se está calentando.
Cuando se alcance la temperatura, la luz indicadora se
apagará. El artefacto está listo para usar.
Deje precalentar la parrilla durante varios minutos antes de
asar y hasta que la luz se apague.

8 Importante: el aparato esté caliente durante su uso.
Cierre la cubierta y deje que los alimentos se cocinen por el
tiempo seleccionado. Si lo desea, puede utilizar un cronómetro
de cocina.
No deje el artefacto sin atención mientras lo use o cuando
esté enchufado.
Importante: No ejerza mucha presión sobre la tapa de la
parrilla en ningún momento.
Para prevenir la pérdida de calor y lograr una cocción uni-
forme, no abra la tapa con frecuencia.
Para obtener los mejores resultados, no sobrecargue la par-
rilla.
Recuerde que como la parrilla cocina de ambos lados, el
tiempo de cocción será por lo general menor que lo esperado.
Tenga cuidado de evitar la cocción en exceso.
9Una vez que se termine la cocción, abra con cuidado la cu-
bierta de la parrilla utilizando guantes de cocina.
Utilice siempre utensilios de silicona, plástico térmico o
madera para evitar arañar la superficie antiadherente de las
placas de la parrilla.
No corte directamente los alimentos sobre las placas.
10 No sacar nunca la bandeja de recuperación de grasas durante
la cocción.
Si el cajón de recuperación de grasas está lleno durante la coc-
ción, deje enfriar el aparato antes de vaciarlo.

Para conservar las cualidades antiadherentes del reves-
timiento: no cocine alimentos envueltos en papel de aluminio.
No utilice nunca el aparato en vacío.
No colocar utensilios de cocción sobre las superficies de coc-

11 Antes de limpiar, desconecte la parrilla del tomacorriente y
deje que se enfríe como mínimo por dos horas.
12 Para prevenir quemaduras accidentales, deje que la parrilla
se enfríe totalmente antes de limpiarla.
El artefacto debe quedar cerrado mientras se enfría.
13 Ponga la charola para jugos debajo de la parte frontal de la
parrilla.
Utilice una espátula de plástico para raspar cualquier exceso
de grasa y restos de comida que queden en las placas de la
parrilla y así éstos caigan directamente en la charola para
jugos.

14 Utilice una esponja mojada en agua caliente y jabón para
limpiar las placas, luego enjuague la esponja y vuelva a
limpiar para quitar todo resto de jabón.
Seque bien con una toalla de papel absorbente.
Para quitar cualquier resto de comida difícil de eliminar, util-
ice una almohadilla de fregado de nylon o no metálica para
limpiar las placas de parrilla.
No utilice fibras de limpieza metálicas, de acero inoxidable
ni tampoco ningún limpiador abrasivo para limpiar ninguna
de las partes de la parrilla; utilice solamente almohadillas de
fregado de nylon o no metálicas.
Vacíe la charola para jugos y lávela en agua caliente con
jabón; seque bien con una toalla de papel.
Para limpiar la cubierta de la parrilla, hágalo con una esponja
mojada en agua caliente y jabón y séquela con un paño
suave y seco.
Toda otra reparación del artefacto debe estar a cargo de un
representante técnico autorizado.
15 No sumerja el cuerpo de la parrilla en agua ni en ningún otro
líquido.
16 Siempre asegúrese de que la parrilla esté limpia y seca antes
de guardarla.
