3 General Characteristics
3.1 Features
TattileANPRMobileisanembeddedcameraproducedbyTattileforautomaticlicenseplatereading.
ANPRMobileissuitableforPoliceenforcement,crimeprevention,patrolenforcementandeverywhere
aportablesolutionisrequired.
ItisequippedwithMegapixelsensor,abletoreadlicenseplateinalllightconditions.
Itcombinesmultiplecomponentsinacompactsolution,suchas:sensor,infraredilluminatorand
processorwithintegratedOCR(OpticalCharacterRecognition)toreadautomaticallylicensePlate.
Thesystemdoesnotrequiretheinstallationofprocessingunitsonboardofthecars,norofphysical
connectionbetweenthecamerasandtheonboardcomputer/tablet.Infact,thelicensePlateanalysisis
donedirectlyfromthecamerasinstalledontheroof,bonnetortrunkofthecarandthedata
transmissionoccursinWi‐Fimode.Thiswayitispossibletospeeduptheinstallation,makingANPR
Mobileeasilytransportablefromacartoanother,withaconsequentcostsreduction.
Tattilenewsolutionisequippedwithasophisticatedsoftwarethatenablestocaptureimagesinboth
grayscaleandcolor,withthebestautomaticselectionofacquisitionparameterswithmultipleauto
exposure.
TheANPRMobiledevicesareavailablein3version,dependingonexpectedreadingdistance:
‐Shortdistance:tosatisfythelicenseplatereadinginsmallparkinglots,parallelparkingand
everywheretheplatetobereadisatverycloseddistancefromthecamera(distance<2,5m)
‐Mediumdistance:tosatisfythelicenseplatereadingforcurbsideparking,diagonalparking,and
everywhereit'sneededtoreadlicenseplatesofvehiclesparkedatshort‐mediumdistancefromthe
camera(3m<distance<7m)
‐Longdistance:forreadingplatesatvariousdistanceswhilepatrollingontheroad(distanceupto25
meters)
