1. Product Introduction
1.1 Overview
TBS8030T 1U 4k@60fps HDMI Encoder easily converts 4K UHD HDMI Video to IP stream in UDP/RTP
protocol. It is equipped with 4/8/12/16 HDMI 2.0 ports and supports max 3840 x 2160P@60hz HDMI video
inputs. The encoder supports both H.264 & H.265 Encoding, being able to compress channel's bit rate to
5-16M.
A Friendly configuration system and user interface allows users to carry out the encoding job more easily. And
this is one of the advantages that TBS8030T provides. Furthermore, TBS8030T encoder also provides another
remote-reboot software, which allows users to restart or reboot the encoder remotely.

Precautions:
1. TBS8030T supports 4K refers to 3840*2160, not 4096*2160.
2. When the HDMI input is 3840x2160p_60hz or 50hz input, it can only be encoded into H.265
3840x2160p_60fps or 50fps.It is invalid even if manually setting the output in H.264.
3. TBS8030T doesn’t support to change video’s frame rate and resolution currently.
4. When the encoding output is in H.264/H.265 3840x2160p_60fps/50fps/30fps, please ensure that the
decoder has sufficient decoding capacity.

2. Hardware description.
➢TBS8030T has 4 different version: 4 HDMI input, 8 HDMI input, 12 HDMI input or 16 HDMI input.
➢Eth0/TS Over IP port: DATA Ethernet port, DHCP to get IP. Supports 1000/100M.
➢Eth1/Console port: Management Ethernet port, preset to a static IP “192.168.8.188”. Supports 1000M
only.
➢Reset button: Hardware reset, press and hold it until Blue led lights off and on, and then release.
➢The followings will be reset:
1. IP of Eth1 reset (management port IP address reset).
2. web GUI password reset,
3. system password
➢LED light:
Blue LED: Reset indicator light --- It usually keeps lighting. When the machine is reset, the LED will turn off.
When it is turned on again, it means the reset is done.
Green LED: Power LED --- When the machine is powered on, the LED keeps lighting.

3.Web GUI setting
3.1. GUI log in
The default IP to access the GUI is “192.168.8.188”.
The default login/password is: root/root.
3.2. Network setting:
Eth0: This is data Ethernet port, for streaming purpose. The default is set to DHCP to get IP.
Eth1: This is management Ethernet port, for web GUI control. The default is set to a static IP address
“192.168.8.188”.

➢We recommend that configure Eth0 and Eth1 to a different IP range. For example, eth0 to range
“192.168.1.xxx”, and eth1 to “192.168.8.xxx”. If both Ethernet ports work in a same IP range, they’ll have a
“conflict”.
3.3.Encode configure
➢Video Encode:
For TBS8030T Encoder, the output resolution and frame rate both are not allowed to be changed. It keeps the
same as the “Input”. So, there is not“Options”to set these 2 parameters on web GUI.
For example:
If the input video is 3840x2160_60hz, the output video will beencoded to 3840x2160@60fps.
If the input video is 4k_50hz/60hz (3840x2160_50hz or 3840x2160_60hz), it will be encoded to H.265 directly.
If the input video is 4k_30hz or lower, it can be encoded to H.264 or H.265.
➢Audio Encode:
Audio supports AAC encode (AAC _LC), the bite rate is around 128kbps.
3.3.1 Encoding:
➢Auto” mode
The output video resolution is the same as the input video, and the bite rate will be automatically set to a
proper value depends on the input value.
➢Manual mode
It supports to set “Codec”, “bite rate”, “Program name”, etc.
Bite rate is limited to 3~16Mbps for each channel.
We strongly recommend to set “PMT”, “PCR”, “VPID,” “APID”, “Program name”, “Program number” with
different value for different channels.

Mute:
Encode Video only, does not encode Audio data.
Reset:
Reset for a single channel.
Load All:
After configure encode parameters for the first channels, click “Load All”, the same parameters will be loaded
to all other channels.
Default:
Load the default configuration to current channel.
Apply:
Activate all the new configurations.
3.3.2 Streaming:
TBS8030T supports UDP/RTP unicast or multicast output protocol.
After configure output address and port, click “Apply”.
If Encoder didn’t detect the input stream correctly, it will remind you streaming failed.

HDMI 0, the URL will be: udp://@192.168.8.170:4050;
HDMI 3, the URL will be udp://@239.255.6.9:4053;
HDMI 5, the URL will be rtp://@239.255.7.8:4055.
3.3.3 HDMI State
Indicate HDMI video and audio input information.
If signal is not detected, it shows “gray” like HDMI 7:

Firmware upgrade
3.5. About
It shows the Firmware version number.
4. Remote power off/Power on for Encoder.
TBS8030T encoder supports remote power off/power on. To ensure proper functionality,please make sure the
encoder is powered and the network is reachable.This function is achieved by cutting off a small part power
supply of Encoder to power it off or power it on.
We provide a tool to power the encoder off/on named “RK3568NetworkTool”.
Just put the Binary to your Linux OS (for example, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS or CentOS 7). You can also compile the
source code yourself.

5. Maintenance
5.1Instructions for returning by mail
➢Instruments returned for repair or calibration, either within or out of the warranty period, should be
sent with the following information: Name of the Company, name of the contact person, address,
telephone number, receipt (in the case of coverage under warranty) and a description of the problem or

5.2Cleaning Recommendations
➢CAUTION:To clean the cover, take care the instrument is disconnected.
➢CAUTION: Do not use scented hydrocarbons or chlorized solvents. The cover should be cleaned by
means of a light solution of detergent and water applied with a soft cloth. Dry thoroughly before using the
system again.
➢CAUTION:Do not use for the cleaning alcohol or its derivatives, these products can attack the
mechanical properties of the materials and diminish their useful time of life.
