1.Overview
The Media Converter complieswith IEEE802.3,
IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3xStandards.It isdesigned to
convert data signalbetween 100 Base-Tx and 100
Base-Fx fast Ethernet. The data signal converted by
suchhigh performance media convertercanbe
transmitted up to 20Kmmaximum byfiber-optical
cable.
The Converter is equipped withtwo fiber
opticconnectors(One for transmitting-Txand another
for receiving-Rx),two RJ-45Jacksand one external
power supplyreceptacle.SixLED indicatorsare
built-in foreasydiagnosing and monitoring the status
of power,Unshielded Twisted Paired (UTP)Link, UTP
Activity,Fiber Link,Fiber Activity,Full duplexand
data rates.It can be configured automaticallyfor Full
Duplex or Half Duplex operation.
It is compact, cost-effective,low dissipative, high reliable
andstable. It canbe usedinstandaloneapplicationsor
Rack-Mountedapplications wheremultiplemedia
converter canbe inserted into arack-mount chassis (Up
10 units)and allowing all the converters to be powered by
asingle internal power supply.
