1. Introduction
Tejovat DP1500 is a smart video doorbell which provides 720P HD quality pictures and videos of
visitors on the connected smartphones. The DP1500 gets connected to your home network easily
through either Wi-Fi, with the help of Smartlink interface or wired Ethernet connection. With
‘Yoosee’ smartphone app, DP1500 provides user an easy way to have video conversation with the
visitors. The DP1500 provides an alert like phone call on the user’s smartphone when the visitor
presses the video doorbell’s call button. The DP1500’s smart camera monitors all the activities in
front of your door which can record photos or videos of the detected motion during day and night
time with help of PIR and night vision sensors.
The DP1500 connects to the electronic lock directly or through unlock control. The DP1500 is also
equipped with RFID (Radio Frequency ID) card reader and optional remote control to unlock the
door. You can unlock your door in one of the three ways: from your smartphone’s ‘Yoosee’ app, RF
ID card or an optional remote control with unlock control when you are outside the door. To
lock/unlock the door from anywhere outside the RF range, you can use ‘Yoosee’ app from your
smartphone.
User can easily monitor all the activities any time with the help of their smartphones or configure
the doorbell for recording these activities on the optional micro SD card. With the help of email
push option, user can have emails of the photo attached to it whenever motion gets detected in
front of your door.

3. Before Using the Device DP1500
Before using the device, please read the following points carefully.
• In case product is found cracked, deformed, damaged or has other anomalies at the
time of receiving package, please stop using it and contact the seller or manufacturer
immediately.
• Keep proper distance from fire and water where you want to install doorbell and
operational temperature should be below 60 °C.
• Don’t dis-assemble or modify the product, in case of product is damaged.
• Use a dry and soft cloth to clean the surface, don’t use chemicals, soap or detergent.
• If the product is damaged as a result of breach of the warnings above, we will not bear any
legal responsibility.
• Please read warranty terms and conditions for further details about the warranty.
4. Overview of Smart Video Doorbell DP1500

4.2 Back Panel
• Reset Button: To restore the doorbell to the factory default settings.
• Power Port: To power the doorbell by DC 12V / 1.5 A supply.
• Unlock Port: To connect doorbell with electric lock.
• RJ45 Port: To connect a doorbell through the Ethernet.
• Access Port: To be used for door Exit.
• Delay Time Settings: DIP switches to set delay time settings for door unlock.
• PIR (Passive InfraRed) Sensor: To sense movement of people, animals or other objects
with the help passive infrared technology.
• IR LED: 6 IR LED’s used for night vision camera.
• Call Button: Doorbell call button.
• Speaker: For audio communication.
• Microphone: For audio communication.
• Swipe RF ID Area: Swipe the RF ID user cards here to unlock the door.
• Photo-resistor: This is ambient light sensor to sense the light.

4.3 Main Features
The major features of the smart video doorbell DP1500 device are as below:
1. No matter where you are, you could answer your visitors call, control the door lock,
see the circumstances in front of the door at any time via mobile app.
2. With the function of infrared vision, the device can also provide photos and videos at
night.
3. With the function of motion detection, the device can take the photos whenever
anything unusual happens in front of the door.
4. The smart video doorbell is IP 55 water resistant.
5. Multiple smartphones (up to five users) could connect with one doorbell at the same
time.
6. Powered by DC 12V / 1.5 A
7. There are several ways to unlock the door remotely when you are outside the door:
using RFID card, optional Remote control or through the Yoosee app.
8. Supports Android, iOS and Windows operating systems.
5. Range Test of Wi-Fi Router
1. For longer range applications, check if the router is or can be located at the front of the
building, preferably near a window or glass as this will greatly extend the range.

2. Wi-Fi router is not in the front of building, consider installing a standard Suppose that
“off- the-shelf” Wi-Fi repeater or range extender. These can be purchased separately as
a plug-in device and are sold in DIY and consumer electronics stores.
6. Installation Guidelines
Following guidelines can be adopted to install the DP1500 doorbell assuming satisfactory
operation of the doorbell at full Wi-Fi range, at desired location:
• Mount the doorbell at the desired height for pedestrian or car users. The camera lens
angle is 130 degrees wide to cover most of the scenarios. The height of installation is
recommended to be 1.3 ~ 1.6 meters.
Note: Install at the shielded position, to be free from direct sun rays or raining.
• Make sure the availability of electric connection for power adapter behind the wall
where you want to fit the doorbell.
• On stucco, brick or concrete, use the drill bit to drill four holes to install the doorbell as
well as one large whole for its power supply/Ethernet cable in the wall.
• If you’re installing on wood or siding you can directly screws with the help of
screwdriver. Still you will require large hole for power supply.
• You can use double faced adhesive tape for mounting the device on the doors, walls etc.
as shown below:

• Installation Steps:
o Remove the rain shield out of your doorbell to access the mounting holes and install
the screws as shown in figure below.
o Use four screws in the four corners to fix the doorbell rain shield on the wall.
o Insert SD/TF card in the doorbell as shown in the figure (optional).
o Make connections of the power adapter with the help of power connector to the
doorbell as per the instructions given in the section “Network Connection and

Power Supply”.
o Make door lock connections as per the instructions given in the section “Unlock
Settings”.
o Optionally you can use two screws in the middle to fix doorbell to the 86 box or
2x4'' box as shown below:
7. Network Connection and Power Supply
Doorbell’s power, network connections and selection can be done as below:
1. If power adapter and network cable both are available, plug the network cable and
power adapter.
2. If power adapter is available but no network cable, plug the power adapter and connect
doorbell to Wi-Fi, try to ensure that the received Wi-Fi signal strength is higher.

8. Unlock Settings
Notes:
1. Electronic lock and Access Control are no polarity devices, unlock voltage is 12V, please
check the spec of electric current (3A or 5A) requirements to purchase adapter
separately.
2. User can use 12V/1A power adapter or POE power, if you don't want to connect the
lock.
8.1 Single Power Adapter
Following diagram shows wiring for connecting single power adapter to the doorbell
and electronic lock.
3. If network cable is available but no power adapter, power the doorbell with POE (Power
on Ethernet) injector.

8.2 Double Power Adapter
Following figure shows wiring diagram to connect two power adapters. POE can replace
one 12V/1A power adapter required for doorbell.
8.3 Unlock Delay Settings
Use DIP switch setting for delay of 1S, 4S, 8S or 16S as shown in figure below:

9. Device Pairing
Following figure shows various distances between DP1500 and electronic lock, indoor chime,
unlock controller and remote control.
9.1 Pairing DP1500 with Indoor Chime
• Connect indoor chime and smart doorbell both to power adapter.
• First press “Volume” button of indoor chime until the light is ON then loosen it and
the light will go out.
• Press “Call” button of smart doorbell for the first time, the light of indoor chime
flashes one time then press “Call” button of smart doorbell again, indoor chime
flashes several times, it means that pairing is successful.
• Long press “Volume” button of indoor chime, the light from continued flash goes out,
clears the code after loosen.
9.2 Pairing DP1500 with Unlock Control
• Connect unlock control and smart doorbell both to the power adapter.
• First press “Call” button of the doorbell, gets phone call alert on smartphone, answer
the call and enter into the talk state, press “Pair” button of unlock control then click
“Unlock” button of App, pair light flashes continuously.
• Once again press the “Pair” button of unlock control, pair light stops flashing.
• Finally click “Unlock” button of App, the pair light flashes several times, it means that
pairing is successful.
9.3 Pairing Remote Control and Unlock Control
• Connect unlock control to the power adapter.
• First, press the “Pair” button of unlock control, pair light flash one time. Press the
“Pair” button of remote control, pair light continuously flashes.
• Once again press the “Pair” button of unlock control, pair light stops flashing.
• Finally press “Unlock” button of remote control, the pair light flashes several times, it
means that pairing is successful.

10. RFID Card Settings
10.1 Setting Management Card
• Number of RF Cards: Add card x 1, Delete card x 1, User cards x 5.
• DIP switch 3 is in the “OFF” position by default.
• First, put switch 3 to ON position after power OFF, then power ON again.
• Now it enters into setting state of management card, at this time the Red and Blue
lights flashes alternately.
• Swipe Add card, buzzer rings one time and Blue light turns OFF.
• Swipe Delete card, buzzer rings one time and Red light turns OFF.
• Management card settings are completed. Then power OFF the device, put switch 3
back to “OFF” position then connects smart doorbell to power adapter again.
10.2 Add User Card
To add single target user card: Swipe the Add card one time, Blue light becomes ON, swipe one
target user card, the buzzer will ring for one time after successful addition. Once again swipe
the Add card to exit the adding state.
To add more than one target user cards at a time, swipe the Add card one time, swipe target
user cards one by one continuously. Once again swipe the Add card to exit the adding state.
10.3 Delete User Card
Swipe the Delete card one time, Red light becomes ON, swipe one target user card to be
deleted, buzzer will ring one time after successful deletion. Once again swipe the Delete card
to exit the delete state.
To delete all user cards, first swipe Delete card one time then swipe Add card and finally swipe
Delete card, this deletes all user cards.

Notes:
1. Cannot delete the card, if the card is not added or deleted already. Cannot add the
card, if the card is added already.
2. The blue light flashes one time when Add card is swiped or the user card is swiped
for successful unlock.
3. The red-light flashes one time when Delete card is swiped or if any mistake is made
in card swiping.
4. When buzzer rings one time that means, working is normal; if buzzer rings three
times that means wrong card or operational mistake is made.

11. One Key to Call
When visitor presses the doorbell’s call button, smartphone user receives ring on his/her
smartphone. User can decide to answer it or hang up. Please note that Yoosee application
need to be installed on the mobile through either Google Play store or Apple App store.
Also, user need to register, login and connect to doorbell either through the Wi-Fi or
Ethernet. Also application need to be running in order to receive the ring on smartphone.

③ After answering, you can have video call with the visitor, take photos, unlock the
door etc.
Note: Because of restrictions by Apple, your iPhone will receive notification message
first. If your screen is locked, you must swipe the notification banner, then unlock the
screen.
12. Indoor Chime
• Smart video doorbell and indoor chime uses RF 433 MHz frequency for their connection,
no need of wiring.

13. Software Installation
13.1 Download and Install the Application
• Please search the “Yoosee” on Google Play store for the Android based
smartphones and on App Store for the iPhones. You can see following icon for both
the smartphones.
• User can also scan the QR code below to download and install the app.
• Download CMS Client from from software download area for www.tejovat.com
windows PC users.
• To pair indoor chime with the doorbell, please refer to the section 9.1.
• After pressing smart video doorbell’s call button, smartphone and indoor chime rings
simultaneously.
• Open distance of transmission between smart video doorbell and indoor chime is 30
meters.
• Smart video doorbell and indoor chime are using 433 MHz to learn the code.
• ① is Ring tone switch (built-in 36 ring tones can be selected with this) and
② is Volume adjust.

① Open App and click on the Register button.
13.2 Add Doorbell into Mobile Device
13.2.1 Register and Login into Application
Once Yoosee is installed successfully, open it and register for a new user as per on-screen
instructions as given below:
• After successful registration, login into the application.
Notes:
1. Each user has a unique username/user ID and password. The username is a
phone number/ email id or user ID created during successful registration.
2. If user want to login to the application by phone number, that phone number
must be bound with users account.

13.2.2 Smartlink Settings
Note: Select Smartlink option to add device for either first time or if the device is in the factory
reset mode.
Follow steps below to add the device using Smartlink option for either iOS or Android:
1. Power on the smart video doorbell and wait for beep sound.
2. Open and login into the “Yoosee” application to do the Wi-Fi settings.
Notes:
a) Ensure the Wi-Fi network that you are going to set can connect to the smartphone or
iPad/tablet normally.
b) Make sure to add doorbell using Smartlink within 5 minutes or till doorbell produces
beep sound otherwise restart (power cycle) the doorbell again.
3. When doorbell starts and produces beep sound then click “+” button to add the
new device and follow the steps as per below screen shots:
