Install the AWG-HD into a system
1. Connect the AWGSYNC01 and AWG70001s.
2. Refer to the instructions in the AWGSYNC01 Safety and Installation Manual
to configure the Master and Slave units.
3. Connect the AWG-HD, DPO70000, and needed adapters and other equipment,
depending on your use case. (See Figure 1.) and (See Figure 2.)
4. Check that all instruments are on the same network switch to ensure proper
operation.
5. Identify all instruments through your VISA resource manager as follows
before discovering the instruments using TekExpress.
a. Launch TekVISA OpenChoice Instrument Manager and click the Search
Criteria button.

Install the AWG-HD into a system
b. Check that LAN is On and that the socket connection is set to Port 4000.
Enter the serial number located on the back of the AWG-HD unit for the
host name. Click the down arrow button to save the settings.
c. Click the Search button. The host name of your instrument should appear
in the Instruments field.

d. Select the instrument from the Instruments list and launch the OpenChoice
Talker Listener.
6 AWG-HD Installation and Safety Instructions

Install the AWG-HD into a system
e. Send an *IDN? query to ensure the device responds. If communication is
established correctly, the device should respond with its information in
the Command/Data field.
If the instrument does not appear in the Instruments, it may need to cycle
power one or twice before its host name appears. Allow at least 30
seconds after power on for the instrument to be identifiable.
If you have problems discovering the instrument with OpenChoice, you
can use the TekExpress HDMI option to identify the instrument.
NOTE. The AWG-HD has a fallback IP address in case normal connection
through its host name fail. If the AWG-HD is connected directly to a host PC
via Ethernet (Link-Local) without the use of a network using DHCP, it will use
an IP address of 192.168.1.10.
6. Set up all of the instruments using Instrument Control Settings in TekExpress.
This completes the hardware setup for the HDMI test system.
7. See the TekExpress Help to complete the software setup.

descriptions
A measure of the contaminants that could occur in the environment around
and within a product. Typically the internal environment inside a product is
considered to be the same as the external. Products should be used only in the
environment for which they are rated.
Pollution degree 1. No pollution or only dry, nonconductive pollution occurs.
Products in this category are generally encapsulated, hermetically sealed, or
located in clean rooms.
Pollution degree 2. Normally only dry, nonconductive pollution occurs.
Occasionally a temporary conductivity that is caused by condensation must
be expected. This location is a typical office/home environment. Temporary
condensation occurs only when the product is out of service.
