7. Use the remaining four M4x10 Phillips screws to attach the top bracket to the left
and right walls.
8. Follow your rack manufacturer’s instructions to install the rackmount into your
rack, using four fasteners through the four holes at the outside edges of the
faceplate. Be careful not to block the cooling vents at the sides of the oscilloscope.
CAUTION: This rackmount kit is designed to fit standard 19-inch rack cabinets
per EIA/ECA 310-E. It has been designed for heated air exhaust through vents
on the left and right sides of the instrument. Some rack cabinets might present unusual
obstacles that can block exhaust vents. If you observe such obstacles, please contact
Teledyne LeCroy technical staff for further guidance.

Thank you for purchasing a Teledyne LeCroy rackmount accessory. Please review these
instructions before installing the rackmount.
The rackmount kit is shipped with the following parts. Contact our Customer Service if
parts are missing.

Note: The kit does not include the fasteners needed to attach the rackmount to your
rack. Consult your rack manufacturer regarding the appropriate type, size and number
of fasteners required to install the rackmount securely.
Tools
You will need a Phillips (#2 head) screwdriver to assemble the rackmount.
Assembly
1. Power down and unplug the AC line cord from the back of the instrument.
2. With the feet rotated forward (as shown below), fold down the flippers so the
instrument sits flat. You do not need to remove the feet.

3. Attach the handles to the faceplate using the four M5x12 Phillips screws.
4. Attach the faceplate, left and right walls to the tray base using 11 of the 15 provided
M4x10 Phillips screws.

Assembly Instructions
5. Carefully lift and lower the oscilloscope into the assembled rackmount case,
centering the front of the instrument into the faceplate opening. Be sure the feet are
in front of the stiffening rib located at the back of the tray base.
6. Align the slots on the top bracket with the positioning pins inside the left and right
walls, then rotate the bracket forward until it rests on top of the instrument and the
screw holes align.
