QUICK START GUIDE: Instructions for Use
EDGE Medication Monitor and EDGEVue App
The EDGE Medication Monitor is a sensor that continuously measures the temperature of your medication and communicates with
your Smart Phone or other mobile device. This gives you peace of mind about your valuable medication by alerting you, when you
check it, if it has exceeded the temperature range as indicated by the manufacturer.

Contents of the EDGE Medication Monitor (MM-1)
• 1 x M-300 Sensor Module (30-M300-2)
• 1 x LS14250 Lithium battery
• 1 x Magnet (for mounting or checking LED)
• 1 x set of 3 screws
• 1 x Instructions for Use
Install Battery
1. Insert battery (included). Be sure to match the + / - polarity
as shown in (Image #1).
2. Place on rear cover and secure with screws provided (Image #2)
3. Place EDGE sensor in the refrigerator next to your medications
for 30 minutes before setting temperature high/low limits on Page 2.
Install EDGEVue App
Download EDGEVue Mobile App by either:
a) Scanning the QR Code on back of device/packaging, or
b) Download from iTunes App Store or GooglePlay, search for EDGEVue.
Setup Temperature High/Low Limits for
Your
Medication
1. Open the EDGEVue App on your smart phone
2. Tap on Scan (Image #3)
3. When the Sensor serial number appears, tap on it to pair the Sensor
and the App (Image #4)
NOTE: If at any point you lose Bluetooth connection to the EDGE device, go
back to the Scan screen, tap the refresh button , find your sensor and
tap on it.

4. Tap on Set up new mission (Image #5)
5. Tap on General tab (Image #6)
6. Give your Module a name such as the name of your medication.
(Image #6)
7. Choose Reading interval (how often you want to read the
temperature) from every 15 seconds to every 255 minutes.
8. Tap on Alarms tab (Image #7) to enter temperature ranges to get
alerts when you check the temperature.
9. Setup temperature Low limit and High limit (Image #7)
(See the prescribing information provided with your medication
under the “Storage & Handling”section or ask your pharmacist or
the manufacturer of your medication).
10. Check the boxes to set low and high temperature limits (Image #7)
11. Enter temperatures using the arrows or tap to right of number to
bring up the keyboard (Image #7)
12. Check the boxes to set the time delays (Image #7)
13. Enter the time delay using the arrows or tap to the right of
numbers to bring up the Keyboard (Image #7).
By setting time delays, it delays any alert by the amount of time
you set to account for short temperature changes (i.e. due to
opening the refrigerator door). If delays are not set, it would alert
immediately upon exceeding the high or low limit.
14. Now hit Done. (Image #8)
Your EDGE Medication Monitor is Now Set Up to Monitor
the Temperature of Your Medication.
To Monitor Temperature
• Be sure the EDGE Medication Monitor is in the refrigerator next to the
medication that you want to monitor.
• If you are traveling with your medication, place the EDGE Medication Monitor
next to the medicine in the cooler.
• Open the EDGEVue App on your mobile device.
• Tap on Scan screen to see the temperature status. (Image 9) The color of the icon changes to
indicate the current status. (Image #10)
- Green indicates temperature is at a safe temperature according to the
temperature limits you set.
- Red indicates temperature has gone outside of temperature limits you set
for your medication.
-Grey indicates the EDGE Medication Monitor is not programmed
• Tap on the sensor name.
- For Current Temperature: Tap on the image of the sensor at the bottom or tap on Read
current temperature
- For Detailed graph and historical temperature data since your last configuration:
- Tap on Show Current Mission
- Always tap Show Current Mission to store data

IF THE MEDICATION MONITOR SHOWS THAT TEMPERATURES HAVE BEEN ABOVE OR BELOW THE TEMPERATURE LIMITS AND
YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR MEDICATION, CALL YOUR PHARMACY OR THE MANUFACTURER. (see below for
instructions on how to obtain the temperature data from the EDGE Medication Monitor)
To Stop Monitoring Temperature
•
To stoptaking temperature readings and save battery life when not in use, or to change the configuration (i.e.
temperature reading interval, delays):
•
Open the App
•
View the current mission: Tap
Scan
for the EDGE Sensor (Image #9)
•
Tap on sensor name
•
Tapon
Stop current mission
• Confirm by tapping Yes or No
To Reactivate Temperature Monitoring
• Open the EDGEVue App
• Tap Scan button (See Image #9)
• Tap on sensor name
• Follow steps 4 through 15 on Page 2 of this Quick Start Guide
To Obtain Temperature History to Share with Healthcare
Professionals or the Manufacturer
If the temperature of your medication has gone outside the limits you set on the EDGE Medication Monitor, you can send temperature
readings to your pharmacist, the manufacturer, or your physician so they can help determine if your medication is still usable.
To Share Temperature Data:

Open the App
•
Tap Scan
•
Tap Sensor Name
•
Tap
Show current mission
•
Tap the menu icon on top right of screen
•
Tap Send by email.
•
Enter email address
•
Hit Send
Use of Magnet
•
The magnet can be used to mount the EDGE Medication Monitor
•
In addition to the EDGEVue app, the magnet can be used to provide instant
temperature status by passing it over the LED. The status is indicated by the
blinking LED on the magnet as shown.

Other Useful Information
To Check Battery Status
1. Open the App
2. Tap on Sensor Name
3. Tap on More to see battery life
4. Tap Get current.
5. We recommend that you replace the battery prior to reaching 10%
To Change TemperatureUnits or Time Zone
1. Tap Settings tab from EDGEVue App startup menu
2. Change between °C (Celsius) and °F (Fahrenheit)
3. Change between GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and local time
