SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Chemicals can be harmful to individuals or the
environment if improperly used. In addition,
some chemicals are caustic, corrosive, or
poisonous and should be avoided. Read label
warnings and chemical manufacturers’
instructions carefully.
This high–density polyethylene sprayer is fitted
with Vitonrseals, which are resistant to a wide
variety of agricultural and household chemicals;
however, care should be exercised to ensure that
sprayer components are clean, functioning
properly and in a good state of repair before and
during use. If in doubt about a particular
chemical, check with the manufacturer. If you
suspect or observe indications that the material
may be unsafe in a sprayer...STOP. Do Not Use or
Apply the Chemical.
Always wear protective clothing and eye wear.
NOTE: Some solvents can soften the valve cone, part
number 21. Check that the O–ring is sealed against the
bottom of the pump cylinder, part number 7. Failure of
this O–ring, part 22, to securely seal against the bottom
of the pump cylinder will result in liquid entering the
cylinder and being expelled out the top of the sprayer.
FOR SAFETY:
SAlways wear safety goggles when pressurizing
this sprayer.
SRead and follow operating instructions.
SDo not fill the sprayer over the maximum fill
mark. Releasing pressure in an overfill
condition can cause harmful venting of sprayer
contents.
SRelieve pressure only with the sprayer upright.
Venting of sprayer contents can occur if liquid
is over the bottom of the relief valve.
SDo not exceed 45 psi pressure.
SDo not fill with flammable materials.
SDo not modify the sprayer or pressure relief
valve.
SNever spray in the direction of humans, animals
or property that might be injured or damaged by
the chemical.
SDo not use disinfectants, solvents, or
impregnating agents unless first testing to
ensure that they are not harmful to the
environment or the sprayer.
SDo not use liquids with a temperature above
120_F/49_C.
SWear rubber gloves, safety goggles and
appropriate protective clothing.
