Disconnectnegativebatteryterminalbeforestarting installation.Consultthe vehicle
owner smanualforproperinstruction.
•The unitisdesigned fora12Volt DC negativeground operation systemonly.
Beforeinstallingthe unit, makesureyourvehicleisa12VoltDC negativeground
system.
•Besuretoconnect the colourcoded leadsaccording tothe diagram. Incorrect
connectionsmaycausethe unittomalfunction ordamage the vehicle'selectrical
system.
•Besuretoconnect the negative(-) speakerleadstothe negative(-) speaker
terminal.
•Neverconnectnegative(-) speakerleadstochassisground.
•The unitisonlydesigned forusewith4speakers. Donot combine output foruse
with2speakers. Donotground negativespeakerleadstothe chassisground.
•Makesureall the connectionsarecompletelycorrectbeforeturning on yourunit.
•When replacing the fuse(s),the replacement mustbe of the sameamperage as
shownon the fuseholder.
•Donot block ventsorheaterpanels. Blocking themwill causeheat tobuildup
inside and mayresultinfire.
•Aftercompleting the installation and beforeoperating the unit, reconnect the battery.

1.Removethe outer trimframe.
DinFrontMount
2.Insert the keyssupplied withthe oldunit
intobothsidesof the unitasshowninfigure
belowuntiltheyclick.Pull toremovethe old
unitfromthe dashboard.
DONOTDISCONNECT
WIRES ATTHISTIME!
3.Markthe polarityofthe speaker wires.
Marking the polarityofthe speaker wireswill makeiteasiertoconnect the
existing speakerstoyourcar radio.Consultwiring diagram ofexisting head
unitbeforedisconnecting anywires. If you arenotpositiveofthe polarityof
the existing wiresfromthe speakerstothe head unit, install newwires.
a.Whilethe oldunitisplaying,
disconnectthe wiresfromone
speaker.
b.Takealengthof masking tape and
folditaround the wiresoitformsa
flag.
c.Onthe masking tape markthe
polarityof the speaker wires(+ &-),
aswell asleft or rightand frontor
rear.
d.Doublecheck that you marked the
firstspeaker correctlybychecking
thatthe speaker wiresarethe same
atthe head unit.
e.Repeatthe procedurefor all of the
speakers.
f. Markthe power, ground and any
otherwiresalso.

1.OPEN BUTTON
Press the OPEN button tofolddownthe fasciapanel.
Then adisc can be inserted intothe disc slotorejected bypressing the
EJECTbutton.
Afterflipping downthe fasciapanel,pushittowardsthe left, then pull the
rightside of the paneltowardsyou toremoveitfromthe mainchassis.
2. SELBUTTON(Select) and VOLDIAL
a.Press the SELbutton brieflytocyclethrough the following options.
>VOLUME>BASS>TREBLE>BALANCE>FADER>
Tochange the setting ofyourselection simplyturnthe VOLdialuntilyou
reachyourdesired leveland press the SELbutton toconfirm your
selection. Toexitthe menu simplywait 5secondsand the displaywill
returntotuner orCD mode.
b.Ifyou press and holdthe SELbutton foraround 2secondsyou areable
tocyclethrough the following options.
>TA(ALARM/SEEK)>PI(SOUND/MUTE)>RETUNE

Afterselecting the desired mode simplyturnthe VOLdialtoselectyour
preferred choice.
b1. TASEEK/TAALARM:
TASEEK mode:When anewlytuned radiostation doesnot receiveTP
information for5seconds, the radioretunestothe next station whichhas
adifferentPItothe last station,buthasthe TPinformation.
When TPinformation isno longeravailableforthe currentstation itwill
start toretune in90 secondsor 150 secondsdepending on your
RETUNE LONG/SHORTsetting.
TAALARMmode: When thismode isselected the autoretune function is
notavailable.Onlyadoublebeep (ALARM) will be heard. When anewly
tuned radiostation doesnot haveTPinformation for5seconds, beeps
aresounded.

b2. PISOUND/PI MUTE
PISOUND mode:When driving inbuiltup areasyou mayexperience
differentPIsoundswhichwill be heardforless than asecond. Thisisdue
todifferentPIcodesbeing received fromthe sameAFsource(reflecting
signals).
PIMUTEmode: Rather than hearing differentsoundsthe radiowill mute
forless than asecond.
b3. RETUNE LONG/RETUNE SHORT
The amount oftimebeforean automaticTAorPIsearchisenabled.
When PIinformation isnotreceived forthe selected amount oftimethe
radiowill start toretune tothe next availablePIstation.If no PIstation is
found the radiowill go back tothe previousstation and wait 4-5minutes
untilthe PIcode isreceived.
RETUNE L: 150 Seconds.
RETUNE S: 90 Seconds.
b4. MASK DPI/MASK ALL:
MASK DPImode:Masks onlythe AFwhichhasdifferentPI.
MASK ALL mode:Masks the AFwhichhasdifferentPIand NORDS
signalwithhigh fieldstrength.
b5. BEEP ON/BEEP OFF
BEEP ONmode: Abeep issounded when anykeyispressed.
BEEP OFF mode: The beep sound isdisabled.
b6. VOLLAST/VOLDEFA
VOLLASTmode:The radioswitcheson at the actualvolumeitwaswhen
itwasswitched off.
VOLDEFAmode: Afterpressing SELbutton,AVOLwill be displayed.
Then you can pre-selectaconstant switch-on volumebyusing the VOL
dial.
b7. CLKON/OFF
CLKON:Clock will alwaysshowon the displaywhen poweroff.
CLKOFF:Clock will disappear on the displaywhen powered off.
b8. CLK12/24
CLK12:Clock displaysin12 hourmode.
CLK24:Clock displaysin24 hourmode.
3.POWER ON/OFF
When the unitisoff you can turnthe uniton bypressing anybutton on
the fasciaapart fromthe open button.You can alsoturnthe stereo on by
inserting adisc,SD Cardor USB Stick.Toturnthe stereo off presand
holdthe powerbutton.

Press the >>| or |<< button brieflytomanuallytune up ordownforthe
desired radiostation frequency.
Press and hold>>|or|<< toautotune up ordown.
7.BAND BUTTON
During radiomode, press the BND button brieflytoselectthe radio
broadcasting band you wouldlike.
8.MODE BUTTON
Press the mode button tochange between,tuner, disc (when disc is
loaded), SD Card(when SD Cardisinserted,USB (when USB deviceis
inserted), BTREADY mode (when the Bluetoothisnot connected, it
showsasNO CON) and AUX mode.
9.MUTEBUTTON
Thisbutton turnsmuteon oroff.
Press the mutebutton tosuppress the loudspeakertemporarily, and
press againtoresumelistening. You can alsoexitmutebyusing MODE,
SELbuttonsor the VOLdialon the fasciapanel.
10.APBUTTON(Auto-Storage/PresetScan)
Ifyou press and holdthe button formorethan one second itwill scan and
store6stationsintoyourpresets.You can do thisineachband.
11.PRESETSTATIONMEMORY
You can go toanypresetstation bypressing one ofthe buttonsmarked
1-6.Tostorethe station thatyou arecurrentlylistening topress and hold
the desired preset location (1-6) untilyou see the numberthat you are
holding displayed on screen.
12.AF(ALTERNATIVE FREQUENCIES)BUTTON
You can turnthe AFmode on or off bybrieflypressing the AFbutton.
AFDisplayed:AFSwitching mode ison.
AFNot Displayed:AFSwitching mode isoff.
AFFlashing:AFswitching mode is,butno RDS information isbeing
received.

When AFmode isselected,the radiochecks the signalstrengthofAFall
the time.The intervalofchecking timeofeachAFdependson the signal
strengthof the currentstation,fromafewminutesforstrong signalstoa
fewsecondsforweakerstations.Wheneverastronger frequencyisfound
the radiowill switchovertothatfrequencyforashort time., and the new
frequencyisdisplayed for1-2seconds, becausethe mutetimeofAF
switching or checking timeisveryshort, itisalmostinaudible. During FM
mode,when AFison , SEEK,SCAN,AUTO-MEMORY functionscan
onlyreceiveand saveRDS programs.
Ifyou press and holdthe AFbutton the AFmode isconverted toREGION
ON/OFF mode.
REGIONALMODE ON:
AFswitching orPISEEK isimplemented tothe station whichhasPI
codesthatarethe sameasthe currentstation.(PICODE ischecked
when AFCHECK isinprogress)
REGIONALMODE OFF:
The regionalcode inthe formatofPIisignored when AFswitching or PI
SEEK isimplemented.(PICODE and COVERAGEAREA isnot checked

13.TA(TRAFFICANNOUNCEMENT)BUTTON
a.You can turnTAmode on oroff bypressing the TAbutton,ifTAis
activated you will see TAon the LCD display., itwill then begintoseeka
TAstation and TASEEK will be displayed on the LCD foramoment.
b.When atrafficannouncement istransmitted:

14.PTY(PROGRAMTYPE)BUTTON
Thisradiowill allowyou toselectthe type ofprogrammerequired,and
will
searchforastation broadcasting that type of programme.Press the PTY
button oncetoshowthe musictype. Then press 1-6button tochoosethe
differentmusictypesavailable.Eachnumber keywill show2different
speechprogrammeforyou tochoose.

15.CLOCK BUTTON
Press the CLKbutton brieflytodisplaythe timefor5secondson the
display,itwill then revert back tothe previousdisplayuntilthe CLKbutton
ispressed again.
Ifyou press and holdthe CLKbutton untilthe realtimeflasheson the
display,you can adjustthe timebyusing the VOLdialand SELbutton.
16.SCANBUTTON
Press the SCN button toscan forradiofrequencies.If avalidsignalhas
been detected, the frequencywill begintoblinkfor5seconds, ifyou
press the SCN button againitwill stop scanning and remainon that
frequency, otherwisethe radiowill begintoscan foranother frequency.
17.Flashing LED
When the frontfasciapanelisremoved the indicatorflashes.
18.RESETBUTTON
Beforeoperating the unitforthe firsttime,orafterreplacing the car
battery,you mustresetthe unit.
Thiswill eraseanystored dataon the stereo.
19.RCAOutput
The RCA OutputJack ison the back ofthe unit. (Refer toWiring)This
outputisforconnecting amplifier, equalizer, or otheraudiocomponent
thatrequiresapre-ampoutconnection. (Red =Right, White=Left)
Followthe manufacturersinstructionsforthe audiocomponent thatyou
areconnecting.

Pairing
Topairyourmobilephone withthe devicesimplyactivatethe Bluetooth
on yourmobilephone and searchfordevices.When the stereo hasbeen
found itshouldshowasCar Kit, when you trytoconnect toI, itwill ask for
apasswordwhichis0000.When you havesuccessfullypaired your
phone the message BTREADY will be displayed followed bythe mobile
number.
When the phone hassuccessfullyconnected you will see ablue led on
the displayflashing. ThisLED will turntosolidwhen you areon acall or
disappearwhen you disconnectfromthe stereo.
Dial
Tomakeacall simplypress the TELbutton and enterthe numberyou
wishtocall using the remotecontrol.When yourreadytomakethe call
press TELagain, toend the call simplypress clear.
Accept/Reject/Hold/End Call

your selection then press the APS button tomoveontothe next number.
Onceyou haveselected whichtrack you wanttoplay,press the SEL
button and your choicewill then start toplay.
PLAY/PAUSE,INT,RPT, RDM BUTTONS
Press the >|| button topauseorresumeplay.You can press and hold
thisbutton togo directlytothe firstsong on the disc,USB or SD device.
You can usethe INTbutton tosamplethe first10 secondsof eachsong.
Toactivatethisfeaturesimplypresthe INTbutton,todeactivatethis
function press the INTbutton again.
You can usethe RPTbutton torepeatasong or repeatan album. Todo
thissimplypress the RPTbutton oncetorepeatone song and RPTONE
will be visibleon the Display,ortwicetorepeat an albumand RPTABM
will be visible. When repeatisActiveyou can disableitbypressing the
RPTbutton and RPTOFF will be displayed.
During normalplayback ofMP3Disc, SD or USB you can usepreset
buttons5and 6tomoveup or down10 tracks atatime.
AUX INPUTJACK
Press the mode button toselectAUX inputmode.Then you can connect
anyCompatibleMP3player. Toskipsongsoradjust the mastervolume
whileinthismode you will need tousethe connected device.
