8. PRINCIPLES OF SAFE AND EFFICIENT WORK
1. Use only normal tap water.
2. Never add additives to water.
3. Connect Texi Smart S+B to a suitable and protected socket.
4. Keep out of reach of children, both when it is on and off.
5. Do not iron garments directly on persons or things.
6. Never leave the iron on the board or on garments when it is on.
7. Never leave garments on the board when it is on, in order to avoid them from
getting spoilt or burnt.
8. ATTENTION: Texi Smart S+B may be switched on only when the ironing board
is open.
9. ATTENTION: put away Texi Smart S+B as shown (fig. 4). Never put it away
upside down (fig. 5).
9. WORKING WITH MANUAL AND AUTOMATIC MODE
1. When you choose the manual mode, the vacuum / blowing motor works continuously, unless it’s
switched off. To switch on or switch off the motor, use the key . To change the motor
function from vacuum to blowing or opposite use the key .
Note: While you first run your machine, the vacuum / blowing motor is off.
2. When you choose the automatic mode, the vacuum/blowing motor works upon pressing the
micro-switch of the iron. The way of working is showed on the below exemplary picture:
Example: The delay of the vacuum / blowing motor on, after pressing iron’s micro-switch, is set on 2
sec. The delay of the motor off, after releasing the iron’s micro-switch, is set on 6 sec.
Press the micro-switch of the iron and start ironing. After 2 seconds the vacuum / blowing motor will
start working. 6 seconds after releasing the micro-switch, the motor will stop working. By extended
time of the motor work, moisture is sucked out of the material and the effect of ironing is fixed.
Note: After pressing the micro-switch the steam will come out of the iron, after releasing –it will stop.
Fig. 4
Fig. 5

TEXI SMART S+B 10
10. IRONING
1. Seize the iron by the cork handle and press the micro-switch of the iron (fig. 7)
4-5 times sothat steam comes out. This is necessary in order to warm the hoses and avoid water
dripping from the iron.
2. Start ironing by pressing micro-switch of the iron (fig. 7), activating steaming. As a result, the
fibers of the ironed element are damped. Release the micro-switch to smoothen all creases. For
a good result, set the thermostat (fig. 6) on “cotton”.
3. For delicate, black or blue garments we suggest to use the anti-shine shoe.
4. During ironing, always put the iron on its rubber rest (fig. 1) and pay attention to the position of
the wires: if they twine or get in touch with the ironing board, they might cause short circuits.
5. For dry ironing it is possible to adjust the thermostat (fig. 6) on various positions according to the
type of fabric (check garment label). For steam ironing, set the thermostat on “cotton” or “flax”.
6. It is advisable to replace the padding (fig. 1) as soon as the vacuum of the ironing board is
unsatisfactory or when the padding presents some marks or rings of water.
11. REFILLING OF THE WATER TANK
It is possible to fill the water tank at any time, even when the boiler is functioning. Lift the water plug
and add water, paying attention not to spill it onto the machine (fig. 3). Water is required when the
intermittent warning “WATER” appears and the sound alarm signal switches on (chapter 7).
It is suggested to immediately add water once the sound alarm signal switches on. This avoids the
drop of pressure and therefore it is not necessary to wait for water heating.
12. REPLACEMENT OF COVER
After a certain number of hours the machine will signal that the board cover needs to be replaced.
This procedure must be carried out ONLY when the boiler and ironing board are cold and
disconnected from the mains.
Note: it is possible to wash the cover.
ATTENTION: It is necessary to reset the hour-counter (see chapter 6) every time the cover is
replaced. This will permit its correct functioning.
Note: The “CHANGE COVER” warning timing is based on an average use of the ironing board.
However, the wear and tear also depends on how ironing is done. It may therefore be necessary to
replace it even earlier, especially if vacuum/blowing performances have diminished.

13. EMPTYING OF WATER FROM BOILER
After a certain number of hours the machine will signal
the need to empty thewater from the boiler. The warning
will be visible only during the first minute the machine is
switched on. “EMPTY WATER FROM BOILER” will be
displayed. After one minute the warning will disappear,
no matter whether the water has been emptied or not.
This procedure is very important and should be done
regularly in order to eliminate limestone residue, which
may damage the machine.
In order to empty the water, unscrew the water discharge
screw plug. Empty the water into a proper container.
Once the water has been emptied re-assemble the
screw plug, paying attention not to tighten it too much
and checking that there are no water leakages (in this case change the gasket of the screw plug).
WARNING: EMPTY WATER ONLY WHEN THE BOILER IS COLD AND THE ELECTRIC
PLUG IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS.
14. COMPULSORY PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE
(TO BE CARRIED OUT EXCLUSIVELY BY AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTERS, QUALIFIED
TECHNICIANS OR BY THE MANUFACTURER.)
Compulsory maintenance is signaled by the icon . GENERAL MAINTENANCE will be
displayed. Contact only your reseller, Authorized Service Centers or the manufacturer in order to
carry out the necessary maintenance. Once the check has been completed, the authorized
personnel will reset the “general maintenance” icon which is shown on the display.
It is also compulsory to change the electric-steam hose or electric cable, if damaged.
15. GOOD FUNCTIONING
Once ironing is finished, leave Texi Smart S+B switched on for 10 minutes. Cool off the ironing board
by activating the vacuum function before switching off the machine. This procedure eliminates water
stagnation and assures long lasting performances.

board upwards (fig. 8). Now Texi Smart S+B may be put away vertically. Texi Smart S+B is also
equipped with wheels which simplify this operation (fig. 9).
17. RELEASING OF STEAM STATION
It is possible to separate the steam station from the ironing board.
Disconnect the plug, which connects the steam station to the ironing board,
loosen four knobs and pull the steam station outwards (fig. 10).
